All of those on the list are impressive, but for simple stats to help with Adsense niche sites or affiliate niche marketing, the free Statcounter.com wins big-time.

I like it because of the easy layout and all I have to do is sign in and quickly see how all of my sites are performing at any particular time of day. I can also click on any site listed and quickly see all the analytics I need to improve my sites.

Statcounter is handy and great for niche sites because when you open up the dashboard, it's got every single site of yours lined up and you can instantly tell how many visitors you have gotten today, yesterday and for the current month.

Then, you can click any site and it tells you everything you need to know about that particular site such as recent keyword activity, visitor paths, search engine used to land on your page, etc.

It also has most of the features that other, more sophisticated analytics tools have but what I like most about it is its ease of use and practicality.

In my opinion, it's the easiest and most effective analytics tool for someone running a bunch of niche sites like me.

As stated originally, there are various companies offering analytics and each of those companies have a specific focus. We've been using segment.com in order to easily implement various analytics software that different people in our company use.
    Webmaster will use GA
Customer acquisition and retention will use Kissmetrics
    Content marketers will use intercom

There are so many metrics, so many ways to look at your data, that it is crucial to use the most relevant tools available to do so.

Google Analytics is cool. The demographics and other vital info is instrumental for me. I love the real time stats which shows visitors surfing your site currently. There are so many advanced features that people don't know about. It's worth spending some time checking out all the functions on GA

The power of Google analytics comes into its own when you connect it to your adwords account and start building comprehensive targeted lists.

You can also create just about any report you want to.

You can track goals and steps to the goals.

It keeps getting better but it is a beast to master.
