Any Reliable hosting provider

I am looking to host around 15-20 sites & blogs in the next couple of months.
I need to find the best and reliable hosting provider.

I don't like Godaddy for its hosting reputation and hostgator for its slow support.
Anyone else recommended by you guys please?

    I use mddhosting and have liked it.

    Liquidweb seems to be one of the highest rated hosting companies, but it is more expensive.

    I recommend looking at A vps with beyond hosting or another reputable company (like liquid web, wired tree, etc)

    I used to use HostGator. Now I use Kalatu for my blog. It's the best so far. Nothing like it.

      I'll second this. I've been with them since 2009. Great support, good prices, terrific flexibility.

      The only problem I have run into is that they don't have cPanel hosting. It's not a problem for me, but some people I have worked with just lose their minds trying to work with it. I guess I'm just used to it by now, or something.

      I do. And I also wanted to suggest the OP to try them out. They're reliable and, if you look for reviews, you'll see they're actually pretty great.

      It's one of the ones taken over by EIG. I know Pat Flynn still uses them, but a lot of customers are fed up with customer service issues like extreme lag time in help

          I've used Blue Host, Hostgator and MyHosting.com in the past. Currently, I'm using Inmotion Hosting. While a little bit more expensive, I've found their uptime and customer support to be top notch. Plus, the plans typically have better specs (more RAM, storage space, bandwidth, etc.) than plans I've seen at Hostgator, Bluehost and other hosts.

    I recommend a VPS. If you are going to be hosting that many sites you want to stay away from shared hosting. Im using Inmotion Hosting currently for my VPS and I love it.

    I suggest Namecheap as both web host and domain host. Most of my domains are hosted outside USA, but for North American sites I use Namecheap and have not regretted it yet.

      I agree with buying domains from NameCheap (that is what I do).

      But... I would not recommend putting all your eggs into one basket and hosting your blogs / sites with them as well. Host on another separate entity, such as HawkHost.

    I was with Hostgator for many years but because of their deline, switched to namecheap around 9 months ago. No problems with Namecheap but I wanted to upgrade to a VPS. Someone suggested Knownhost to me and I migrated all my sites and client sites to them around 3 moths ago. Price is excellent, as is support. I think the longest I've had to wait has been about 5 minutes.

    I started using A2 Hosting last year and they have been great. Also check out InMotion Hosting or StableHost.

    I have tried hostgator, bluehost,inmotion, ipage and all of them suck big time.

    Hostgator: CPU usage problem
    Inmotion: Servers are not secure and pretty slow
    iPage - A joke..don't ever try to sign up just by their $1 marketing stunt
    Bluehost is pretty much ok but not great

    I have been using A Small Orange hosting since a year now and I never encountered any problem. Less downtimes, website loads quickly, no cpu usage problems or notifications and I'm on shared hosting. Technical support team is superb and they would never let you down. They also provide you free website transfer and setup. Make sure you have a chat with their sales team before you sign up.

    Honestly speaking, I only recommend those services which I use. Currently my tech blog is hosted on A small orange.

    I personally love HostGator and have used them for years.

    I don't really have much experience with other hosting providers, but the only thing I will say is DON'T go with 1and1. They have cheap prices, but their UI and support are an absolute nightmare.

    Your best bet is to get your own server. I recommend an Azure VM and YOU host all your sites. No need to pay and pay and pay some more when a $15 dollar a month VM can host your sites for the foreseeable future, then you can scale it up, if need be without missing a beat.

    Our product is used with Azure and I personally host over 8000 sites on one server for about $85 per month and they are all dynamic (database features like upload pics, video etc..slideshows etc..members etc.) So don't spend and spend on hosting [ http://www.mysafemedia.com ]. Everyone does not do it that way, only the majority, due to dependencies they may have for the tools they use. The majority is usually not the best model, just the most popular. If you want to make it, you must optimize from day one. Then you scale up. The other way round is expensive and frustrating, and slow.

    Hosting providers have to make money, using them makes you a consumer. Be a service/product provider if at all possible in all cases. Let others consume what you sell. If you find yourself having to consume, keep it to a minimum. Then find a way to provide what it is you are consuming (hosting, etc.).

    It works. I'm out the $85 per month on 8000 sites that consumers pay me to have and to host and I do not have to build nor maintain a single solitary one. This is how it works.

    There is a different level to the game, so be careful which advice you take off The Internet in all things, great or small.

      I've used Hostgator for the past 5 years and found their control panel to be user friendly. Also there is plenty of documentation and support from Hostgator, as well as from the user community in the form of video tutorials on Youtube on how to do pretty much everything with the hosting service.

    Did I read that right? Hostgator for its slow support? I've been with Hostgator for a few years now and my top reason for remaining with them is their 24/7 live support. Very effective.

      I am currently with Host Gator.
      Last Saturday 3/14 I sent a support ticket.
      No response.
      On Tuesday 3/17 I sent another tick referencing the first ticket.
      No response.
      Friday 3/20 I sent a final ticket.
      No response.
      God knows I am patient but this is stupid.
      I did my home work and am going to switch to Liquid Web.

      Poor planning on their part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

        Support is just getting worse over time. I continually hear of my friends who haven't thought much about their hosting running into horrible situations with any of the EIG brands, HG included. Almost everyone went with HG initially because of their low cost and great support. Now you literally get what you pay for with their shoddy support and performance.

        It's good that you left HG, but not so good that you went with another EIG owned company. You never really left HG if you think about. Same server types and support, just different brand name, sorry to say.

        LiquidWeb is good, just be sure to note that they don't allow many add-on domains. I had a few domains over their maximum allowed and asked for an exception, but they were unable to grant me that. This was years ago, but it seemed like a trivial detail to reject a customer for.

        Other than that, they're a solid company.
