Can you recommend a good course on PPC?

I want to learn PPC but I don't know where to start. Can anyone recommend a good beginners course in PPC? I have heard of some good PPC courses but they seem very advanced and expensive. What is the best resource for learning PPC from the beginning? Also how much capital do you recommend I start with? I have heard some people say you need thousands while others say you can start with a few hundred. Thanks.

If PPC is all you're after, I've often seen the Perry Marshall e-book recommended as a great place to start.

Your capital requirements depend on your market, your product, your price/profit and your conversion. You'll want to test your offer with at least 200 clicks.

Beating Adwords and Perry Marshal's The Definitive Guide to Google AdWords are really worth to spend your time and money.

Start with the source - Google. They have a ton of information, tutorials, tips. Go check them out because a lot of people don't. Sorry, I don't recall the link and am far too lazy to look it up

    Good luck.

Perry Marshalls Guide To Google Adwords is the standard for all people to start with PPC. Non only is a good guide to starting PPC, its an excellent guide on general marketing as well. Well worth the investment.

As for budget - entirely depends on your approach and goal.

Using the Affiliate Black Book as my guide (by .X.) I am not spending much at all. Pick your fights well, and you will be able to start profiting on $50 or less... seriously. I know because I am doing just that right now. And I ain't unusual - though others may disagree...

Perry Marchall's book is on amazon and you can get it cheaply.

Do the PPC Classroom basic course (for $7) when they open up and then just cancel the autorenew. From this course and my own knowledge, I was able to go full time in ppc in about a month.

PPC Classroom 2.0 - this is the one i joined back in Feb 2009.
It's a really good course with mentoring in the forums by previous PPC Classroom students who are now making a living from affiliate marketing.

Another quality course is Guaher Chowdry's PPC Formula 2.0. It's more expensive but worth the price.

I own both. They are pretty much the same book. Get the Amazon one.

I've had the best luck with Matt Levenhagen's Campaign Blasting. Its an inexpensive way to test a lot of offers quickly and expand the winners. I've also learned the basics of PPC. Matt does a lot of follow along tutorials, which are extremely helpful, and the forum is one of the most helpful I've seen. Its perfect for newbies. The monthly cost is $27.

CampaignBlasts.com: Follow The Campaign Blasts Methods To Pay

One of the forum members (Hendra) has a campaign building tool called FlashPPC that works perfectly for blasting. The one time cost for that is $67.
FlashPPC - Google Adwords In A Flash!

These 2 combined are the lowest cost PPC courses and tools I've found. I turned a profit within my first 10 campaigns ever so this has worked very well for me.

One last comment - pick one course and stick with it. Everyone teaches something a bit different. You'll just confuse yourself until you know the basics. Then you can fine tune and add different techniques.
