I want to add an interesting 'fact' page, to grab people's attention; get them intrigued, and want to continue reading over the rest of my website. This will be on the main page (not the'landing' page; that is just the one button, image, and small bit of text), but the page you are directed to after hitting 'enter'.

Will you guys check it out, and throw me some ideas? Like 'Top 5 smartest dog breeds in the world', or 'largest dog to ever exist', or 'strangest looking dog breeds you won't believe exist'. Stuff like that. What do you all think the most attention getting, curiosity spiking one would be? Immagine hitting the website unbiased. What would make you want to read further, so badly, that you would skip out on a work meeting for it, at the risk of loosing your job (an ex.)?

I think I have room for 3 easy links on the right hand side. Unfortunately, wix servers aren't the fastest in the world, and I can't use anything, like cloudflare, to speed them up. I know nothing of coding, so I am stuck until I have the money to hire someone (don't bother offering), have the time to learn, or can market my blog better.

Thankyou so much!

From the main page why don't you send the person to a survey page where you ask the prospect to fill out a survey on say the biggest problems they have training their dogs (or something like that)

Asking them for their opinions or asking them about their problems, immediately gets your prospects involved and sticking with you and your site, and the longer they say on your site, the better.

If your prospects know that you are interested in their opinions, they will trust you more, and hopefully end up buying more from you.

Involvement strategies are very powerful, but not many marketers know how to do it correctly.

That is an amazing Idea! Wix even has a poll app, although I can't see results unless I pay, which isn't going to happen. I don't think it matters though; I can guess at the most common training difficulties, and the viewers won't know I can't actually see their votes.

I probably can see the surveys though. Thank you Glen! I will work on another survey landing page. Ok, here is another question, for the background image; I am trying to focus on images that stir emotion, or at least entice people, rather than text. So I don't want it to me a flat color; and ideas on the types of images to use?

That image is ok, but IMO that depicts a 'wild dog' looking down .

I'd try to find images more relevant to dog training.

The headline 'Think Doggy' - Advanced Training and Behavioral Principles' on the Squeeze Page doesn't make me want to click the 'Enter' button at all. Way too boring and formal.

Your headline has to want to make the prospect want to click the 'Enter' button to find out more.

Your headline has to be intriguing and enticing so the prospect will click the 'Enter' button

Off the top of my head, maybe something like...

'Discover The Little Known Advanced Training Principles Most Dog Trainers Don't Know (or won't tell you about) - Remember though, you have to live up to that headline.

This is where you could have your survey, and tell your prospects that when they complete your survey you'll send them a series of strategies specifically for the, that they can use immediately to improve the behavior of their dog.

Again, all that is off the top of my head.

But it should get you started in the right direction

Also I would definitely change the 'Enter' button text to something more friendly like....'I Want To Know More'

I have done part of what you suggested. I have also added a section on strange dog breeds on the main page. I haven't written about them yet; that is for tomorrow (tell me that picture on the page there, of the dog that resembles a mop, doesn't make you want to read more...).

As far as the survey, I am going to integrate this, as soon as I figure out what content to use. It is 1230 in the am; my mind isn't up to the task right now. (:
