If I'm understanding right, then I'd say amember for the best membership software

I make almost 100% of my online income from membership sites, so I have some experience setting up and managing membership sites.

I have tried every membership software I could find and have found that the combination of optimize press 2 (to build the actual wordpress pages) and Membermouse (the membership software) is by far the best option out there.

Membermouse is extremely easy to use while still being one of the most powerful membership softwares available. Plus its pretty cheap @ $19.99/month.

I have a membership site I need to move, ideally onto a WP base, using OP 2 and membermouse looks like a great option.

What is sort of strange though is there is no way to contact them with a few pre-sales questions?

I would like to see more detail around how they integrate with OP2 and Clickbank from payment processing point of view including how affiliates would be managed - through CB or Membermouse.

I don't use membermouse but I do have several membership sites built with S2 member.

In regards to membermouse I'd just take their free trial and see how it works...it looks good.

As for payments and affiliate management Clickbank would handle all of that. You would set up your sales pages, membership site and affiliate pages. Then submit to Clickbank to get approved...which can be a bit tricky the first time round.

Clickbank has always performed well for me in regards to clockwork payments and easy management of affiliate payments and easy to cancel for recurring members, refunds etc.

You can do all the testing with CB using their test credit card option to make sure all the correct parameters are being passed through the process.

It looks like membermouse would play well with OP2

Have you tried using the membership plugin that comes with OP2...It is basically an S2 clone and you may want to try that first because it may do what you need without buying something else?

+1 for aMember Pro - it is incredibly powerful, plus it does not have monthly fees (but it does cost $80 a year to maintain support and updates if you want that)

It plays nice with Optimize Press 2, and there are many plugins to popular services.

Best of all, it has ongoing development and really good support. I have been using it over 5 years and love it.

I've purchased / used at least a dozen membership
scripts over the years and I can't say there is a "best",
but instead a "best for what you want to do".

Be very clear about that and then start shopping
because they all have different logic, strengths
    and weaknesses.

My preference is WishlistMember but it took
years to get truly comfortable with it.

I use WLM for membership sites and
also to manage a variety of download purchases
    that aren't "memberships".

Have you considered Memberpress? It's a very well written piece of software and light years ahead of the others. Many of the early Wordpress membership plugins were full of bugs and empty promises. This one actually works the best of any I've tried.

One of the things I like about S2Member is that they are constantly providing updates but the plugin is a one off fee - no support costs. While that's good, it also kind of worries me about how long that will last.

It will do most anything any of the other plugins will do from what I can see. You can try the free version and see if it meets your needs. With the free version, a person could run a full featured membership site and only invest if it works. Don't need to pay a dime to get started.

Another +1 for aMember. They have a good user forum too.

It may be a bit harder for the initial setup if you are not very technical, but I'm sure they will help you if you ask for that.

Unlike most other membership software it's one-time payment and then just $80/year for updates (optional).

They also have built-in integrations for numerous payment (like PayPal) and email marketing (like Aweber) solutions.

Downside - it looks a little bit ugly. But you can customize it with some work and make the design in line with the rest of your website for example.

There are many good membership script/plugin. WishlistMember, s2member, DAP, Membermouse and amember are all popular choice. It will come to your website requirement and budget. For me, I would take the cheaper one, s2member have free version and you could test it first before decide to purchase the pro version.

Nanacast for me. By they way, I'm a customer and affiliate in case my signature doesn't make it obvious.

I picked Nanacast years ago because I prefer not having to worry about WP breaking a plugin or having an insecure plugin compromise my customer list.

In my opinion, it's the perfect platform for an information marketer.

      MemberSonic

As far as best it depends on what you're looking for. But MemberSonic is easy to use, has been around for a while, and you can use it on unlimited sites. I got it at a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale at a no brainer price. Do a Google search for membersonic and you'll find an old WSO for the lite version, but I'm not certain if it's still active. I'd post a link, but it'll probably get deleted.

I have used this WP Plugin for a few years. It's robust, has a lot of options, and the developers continually update it and add features. And it's a one-time cost:

    https://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wor...ip-plugin-1706

Depending on your needs, there are 2 other scripts they make that work in conjunction with the membership script - an eshopping cart which will integrate with several payment options, and an affiliate script. They also have a package deal for all 3 - $99.95 (you will see it in the shopping cart when you add one script...)

It can be a little complex to set up, but they have very good documentation, videos, a forum and they answer support tickets.

    Hope this helps.
