Best Ebook Creation and Marketing Resource?

I've written a non-marketing ebook recently, and i could write several more. I've made some sales but I want to maximize it. Could you refer me to the best ebook writting/marketing resource you've come accross?

I've got my eyes on Joe Vitale's How to Write and Publish an Ebook in 7 days, but that would set me back $30. Anyone seen anything better?

Anyone? I came and searched the forum, for "writing an ebook" and came up with this thread. No replies

started writing an ebook for my new niche site and wanted to know the process involved in writing the PDF, how to do the book cover, and how to do the sales page. I also wanted to know what was involved if you are selling your ebook directly from your site. How do you set up credit card/paypal to receive payments?
