Any recommendations on a Mentor/Coach?

I'm sure you'll receive plenty of recommendations. I'll tell you what, though . . .

WF and other IM forums can be an excellent coach.

Few times in life can we receive free answers to our questions, and often quite a bit of extra guidance.

Something to consider!

In your search just know that to get a real coach, one that will make a difference in your life.

You will expect to pay 5 figures, anything less your wasting your money.

And even at 5 figures, you could still be throwing your money away. There is no amount of money that you can spend on coaching that will guarantee success. None!

Nah, its just really low quality from what I have heard

He himself is a millionaire marketer, but the advice he gives is very low quality and definitely not what he did to make his money. I think the best coaches want their students to replicate their success, not just pay up and learn the basics.

I best not comment on the chap (no knowledge of him), but I totally agree with the above in bold. When I got started, you didn't have coaches. It was more like the Wild West Gold Rush. A bunch of folks grabbing their pickaxes and heading to the hills. It was a case of figure things out and, when you were lucky, pick up a nugget or two at conventions or on forums. If I was starting out again, I'd likely take the same route, but if I did opt for a coach, I'd want to pay for his blueprints, like you say.

Tom i do not know where you are from but it is now modern times where you can have classroom sessions online. Anik has thousands of students around the world where he does online classroom sessions through webinars etc.

I'm from the UK. We're a bit behind the times, I'm afraid. On the plus side, we are getting those telly-boxes in December.

On a serious note - I'm not putting the man down, not at all. I was genuinely curious how he managed that many students. And now I know.

No - just very good at getting people to believe his BS stats. I doubt the coaching is any good, either. It's certainly not built on honesty.

I can name 2 people in particular for me:

1) Collin Almeida

2) Terry Dean

This was 11 years ago. They were the foundation of everything that i needed to know. And they stick with you... they keep in communication with you to help you succeed. Haven't met anybody like them since.
