Membership Site Buidling apps.

There seems to be an influx of Membership software apps. hitting the market recently.

The two most recent ones appear to be Fresh Member, and then there’s Swift Member

I know they are both new, so it might be too early to ask this, but does anyone have any opinions, or used one (or both)

I know Fresh Member is a yearly charge, and Swift Member is a one-off charge

    It looks like SwiftMember is a WordPress plugin which should be installed on a self-hosted WordPress site. So they are basically leaving you alone with all the tech issues that a WordPress plugin may have with your themes and plugins. Plus a WordPress site is a sitting duck for hackers.

      For a tech idiot like me, Freshmember does sound the better option.

      I produce a monthly magazine and would also like an area within the site where members can purchase other tools and resources too. Would Freshmember allow me to do that.

      Also, does it have the ability to produce a front sales page or is it literally just the behind the scenes membership software?

      Many thanks (I am seriously interested in this but I have the tech skills of a gnat!!)

        Hey Joe,

        Sure, you can create a resources page for your members within the membership site to offer them other tools. There are two types of pages in FreshMember:

        Site Pages = these act as the front facing pages, ie.. Welcome, About Us, Resources, etc...

        Member Pages = Pages that you can protect by creating paid or free access level for your members.

        Also, FreshMember allows you to create several levels of memberships. If they purchase multiple levels, they will get access to content of all those levels from a single account automatically. You can drip-feed the content too.

        For technically challenged people FreshMember is the last ever membership app that they will ever need. It does have a theme builder which can be used to add new templates to build sales pages. However, you should atleast know a bit of HTML for creating sales page templates. Or you can outsource that work to people on Fiverr.com, get the HTML of the sales page they build and import it into the theme builder of FreshMember to create a sales page.

        You can have a full blown site like our own site using this method. If you need help with this, we can def help you setup sales pages with this method.

    FreshMember does have monthly and yearly subscriptions which indicates that it is going to stay here for a long haul. I bought a product, MemberRocket for a hefty one time fees few years back. They abandoned that product after the refund window was over.

      Will Freshmember be offering integration with more payment gateways and affiliate platforms?

      It seems that the emphasis is on Paykickstart.

        It's going to be $99/month for PayKickstart after first 3 months of Trial. It's a flat fee; no transaction cost.

        It's optional if you want to have PayKickstart be your shopping cart and affiliate platform but FreshMember can work with Paypal, Stripe, JV Zoo, Clickbank, etc.

    I have used Optimizepress. It is one of the best drag and drop membership website with payment system all integrated.
