VIRAL VIDEO STORE AMAZON STORE BUILDER: WHY I CANNOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT

I received a ton of emails in my inbox this morning promoting a new product called Viral Video Stores by Neal Napier. Here is my review of Viral Video Stores.

The product is advertised as powerful software that builds customized Amazon affiliate product stores on the fly. Then drives viral traffic with social contests, and boosts conversions with ready made video reviews (taken from Youtube).

But there are a number of reasons why I won’t be buying this product and cannot recommend it:

First, while the resulting Amazon product you can create is easy and fast to create, the end product in my opinion will not be good for SEO because everything is auto created so you end up with one of those cookie cutter type Amazon stores with no unique content which Google hates.

Second, it is not a wordpress theme or plugin. Rather, the store is hosted on a subdomain of Neal’s main domain and while you can point your store to your own unique domain you are losing all of the SEO benefits of having a wordpress site.

What this means is that you don’t actually download your store, or a plugin or anything like that. Instead you get a sub-domain on their server to host your store on. You can map your own customer domain name to their server if you prefer not to use their sub-domain, but I still think this will negatively impact on SEO.

It reminds me of the type of website I would get when many years ago I was promoting an MLM product. You had to use the developer’s website and point it to your domain.
Here is a demo site I came across created with the product: eStore

Additionally, it appears you have to pay extra depending on how many stores you want to build (1 store, 3 stores or 10 stores) as you do not get a broader license to build stores in the base offer unless you purchase their OTO.

The only think I actually liked about the product is that it had a very cool way of adding products and the products do display very nicely. The products appear in a grid like boxes on a page.

This software does have a feature that will search YouTube for a review video of the products you are selling and will then pull it into your products ‘details’ page, but on the demo page I looked at their were only a few posts that had videos.

There is a feature that you can have pop ups where you offer a chance to win say an Amazon gift card or other freebie to get visitors to sign up to your list, but there are lots of plugins on the market that can do already do this.

I only see this store generating income if you already have a niche Facebook Page about a certain type or product such as mushroom kits and you audience enjoys looking at the latest mushroom kits.

I would be curious what other Warrior Forum Members think about the product.

P.S. I know this is crazy, but despite the above I just gave in and bought the product because I love the clean layout of the design and if I can figure a way to get traffic to the stores without SEO they could possibly make money.

This IS the Internet Marketing Products Reviews & Ratings section, so not sure why you are criticising Traffic Flow for giving an excellent review in what you consider is the wrong section.

I don't think it is worth buying the done for you store OTO

The other OTO is a 100 license pack and developer rights so with the developer rights you can flip the sites you create. But I'm not so sure that it really true at least with respect to being able to flip the site on Flippa. Because to sell a site on Flippa you need to upload to your root directory an authentication file to prove that you own the domain. There is another method of authentication, but I don't recall it right now. But since you don't get cpanel access with this product, I don't see how you can upload anything. So for all intents and purposes it is like you don't own the site and all you are getting is the right to use the site to insert your affiliate links.

But the 10 option license is not a bad deal because there is delete button for each store you create. So if the store does not generate enough sales or traffic, just delete and set up a new store. In fact, it may be a great way to test what products sell and what products do not sell.

I have 6 hours to decide if I am going to buy the developer rights..

I see one person pointed out that the developer could go out of business in which case your free hosting will disappear. But from what I can see the developer is a very talented and successful developer so I don't see that there is that much risk.

The way I am thinking this might work would be to create a blog devoted to the products you want to sell with lots of articles and then put in some links to your store.

Unfortunately, I purchased because I liked the fly-out style, and thought it would be a nice addition to a new site we are building out - not catching the sub-domain reference. Seriously - why do you want to build a business that someone else basically owns? If this company doesn't last more than 6 months, you have lost everything that you have built. You are not building an asset that you can flip either.

Sorry but have to agree on not recommending this one and that is really a shame as I love the styling!
