I am looking to obtain an automated backlink builder and have been eying Big Mike's Social Bot. I've heard number of a number of different amounts of Directories it submits to. Some say 250, then other websites say 120 and 54. The 54 was from their company page which also was noted in the upgrades section. Not sure how you could upgrade from 120 sites to 54?? lol Automatically Submit Sites to 120 Plus English Language Social Bookmarking Services seen at - socialbot.org/ Then on Incansoft page is says: Supports 54 Popular Social Bookmarking Services - incansoft.com/IS0028.php Regardless, it looks great but just wondering if anyone can give some clarity here. Thanks in advance! |

I think last time I ran it my SocialBot was successfully submitting to about 74 sites. |

I appreciate the response Loren. Maybe they change it up regularly.

I tried to sign up with the 74 or so sites but about 30% of them were down or I was not able to sign up for one reason or another. I am going to sign up from a bunch of other sites not listed and add them to the social bot.

That's great you get to add on additional sites. Do you know if you can register the software for more than 1 computer?

Re: registration... I think Mike's policy is that you can register it to your desktop machine and your laptop and after that the license key expires. I'm sure he'll weigh in. Or you could just contact him via his support page and ask. What a novel idea, huh? |

For a while during the development process, we made the mistake of doing what our competitors do - focusing on a type of social bookmarking site that runs on a script called Scuttle. There are hundreds, if not thousands of these sites...and at one time SocialBot had a couple of hundred of them. The ongoing problem with Scuttle sites is that every time you go to submit, you run into a bunch of them that have exceeded their bandwidth, are broken or just abandoned. We got really tired of this as there’s no value in submitting to sites that go missing a week or a month later. Instead, we returned to the basics – the “REAL” social bookmarking sites like Digg, Technorati, etc., that are most likely to be online for years to come. There were 54 of these we focused on and we did leave functionality built into it so that users may add in any Scuttle sites they want – so in reality, SocialBot supports an unlimited number of social bookmarking sites. However, my gut feeling is that sooner or later, back links from Scuttle sites will be considered coming from “Link Farms”. These sites have a huge footprint and provide no real value in terms of visitor experience, so it seems logical that eventually Google will slap them. Our current licensing policy by the way, is that one license is needed per computer it’s installed on. We’ve had to enact this policy because of some serious abuse taking place and quite honestly, SocialBot, like our other bots, can usually be gotten inexpensively. We’re in the process of modifying our sales pages to clearly reflect this policy.

Oh wow thank god that I haven't installed the two bots i bought a few days ago, because I wanted to run them on the netbook I'm going to buy next month. That sucks really, but it's your business and you have every right to restrict the number of copies users are allowed to run |

I agree that Big Mikes stuff is great however the first time you start using one of his products there is a bit of a learning curve. There are Company profiles and account profiles. I initially started with Articlebot and was doing a manual signup for about 20 sites and then after discovering that there was an automated method built in I was able to quickly have the software setup all the accounts for me. In Socialbot the help file is in fact a PDF that will walk you through everything so you just have to open the program and hit help. The info that you are looking for is on pages 11-17 of the manual |

Using the RSSBot for the first time I also was impressed with the account creation future. Semi-automated process where it will usually fill in forms for you or allow you to right click the information in to create accounts. And the submission to the 30 sites seemed to take a matter of seconds! Thanks Big Mike for a great piece of software and for replying to my email earlier. |

I love mt socialbot as well...but I have one question. Does anybody know which site(s) cause the numerous popup ads? It is down in the list and I am unable to scroll down to see it while the software is running. If I could delete the site that does this the software would be perfect! Thanks. John |

How many keywords/ keyword phrases are safe to use with Socialbot? Or can you use as many as you like?

The manual is actually extracted during the setup process. So, if you installed the program to your program files that is where the manual is. I bought Socialbot today and installed it into a folder of my own choosing. (I often do this so that I have a full backup of the software). The installation process created another folder within my selected folder which contained the actual program and the manual. |

What I do is prioritize my submissions placing my most important keywords first, and I hand select what pages to submit in what order, and do them in small batches. A little forethought and planning goes a long way. John
