Updraftplus: careful when buying this plugin

Hello guys,

Some days ago I posted here asking for suggestions of backup plugins for Wordpress, so a guy mentioned the plugin Updraftplus. So I installed the pro-version of the plugin, and bought 2 add-ons:

In the sales page of the add-ons the company forget to mention a little detail: these add-ons are just valid for 1 year, as you can see in the next image (that I just had access after the payment): http://i.imgur.com/EQE6olK.png

As I said, a little detail. When I asked for a refund, I received this answer:

Hi Daniel,

We can't consider a refund on this basis. I've never heard of a product that comes with a life-time of personal support - unless it's something costing 4+ figures.

So this guy are telling me that he sells a thing and forget to put the little information that this thing will work for 1 year, and I would pay 4+ figures to have that.

This history reminds me the housewife that put your cat in the microwave to dry it, and did not know he was going to die in the microwave because it was not written in the microwave manual. Who was right? According to justice, the woman.

Of course, this is an extreme example, but sells something that just works in a determined interval and doesnt inform this at the moment of purchase is embezzlement.

I am a frequent buyer of Themeforest and CodeCanyon, and I have support for some products that I bought more than two years ago. Now, lets see a page of a competitor of Updraft here: http://i.imgur.com/OXjYWES.png

I´m using the pro version of BackupWordpress since 3 days ago. By the way, the support is excellent and very fast and I know that my support will be ended in 07/17/2016, because they informed me at the moment of the purchase (in bold). I also know that after this day I will continue to have access to the plugin, but no more to the support.

I think is better be transparent on the Internet, what do you think?

If Updraft had put all the information about the plugin in the sales page I would not buy from them.

The funny thing is that even buying a add-on called "more files", I cant build a single backup for all the folders of the site, in other words, this add-on just let you choose more files of the wordpress to build a backup, but continues building many backup files, with many sites you can be confused along the way. Another point not explained in the operation of this plugin.

Updraft: by not assuming your mistake and refusing to return my money, I can not call you anything unless thief.

    I just posted before you wrote this about products being sold and what is being delivered. Very frustrating buying something sold to you with an expectation and when the product is delivered it is not what you were sold.

      I think a purchase that does not match expectations is completely normal, shamelessness is the guy who invents anything to not return your money.

      Classic. "you the customer are wrong, because we say so".

      Believe me, I feel your pain. I received a similar response from the product I'm frustrated with and at least they say they are trying to make the product fit the sales page. We'll see.
