This is one of the reasons you do not out source your software to India.

I contracted a programmer in India to produce the exact same software in May of 2014.

I paid them a good chunk of change up front (yea I know ) and I have over 10 pages of Skype conversations documenting this. They gave me one excuse after another and then a year later I gave up. I then found out that they were developing programs for well know marketers who promote just about everything coming out. I talked to them about this particular programmer and they advised me to find someone else. I have these conversations also saved.

Now we are looking at Voice Stak and it is exactly what I designed over a year ago. I've sent messages to everyone and no one is responding. I can tell you this. You will have major issues with the voice recorder. Their samples are recorded with a smart phone as computer recordings are poor quality. You'll find that out right away.

If you try to record a sample on their website, you'll probably wait for several minutes while it processes - if it ever does.

The voice recorder is a breeze but it's not worth it.

Why am I telling you this?

You can get fooled by the sales hype and try it yourself and then file a dispute with PayPal (which you will) or wait for a week and watch for the complaints. I've been on this forum for 17 years and I'm going to speak up if I see a rip off.

If you're looking for a video recorder plugin to record your customer testimonials, they are free on the internet. Why pay $200 up front?

See the one I'm using at What Are People Saying?

A piece of advice, if you have those conversations and you can show it to whatever freelance site you used (their support) there is a good chance you can get accounts banned.

Unfortunately I found him on this forum. I also supplied the programmer with about 8 pages of code which I added a hidden signature to in several places, Plus I still have over 10 pages of conversations I copied on Skype which I converted to PDF. One of the marketers contacted me yesterday. We're going to talk again. They've actually hired this programmer for their software project about 6 months after my fiasco with him.

  • Yea I used the product and its ok, there are problems and they have not fixed them. My personal opinion is the platform, in its current form, is a disaster.

Wonder if they can make it work right.

This is the exact reason I never go outside the USA for coding projects. You can have all the proof in the world, signed NDA's, etc, but if you're out of the USA the possibilities for recourse are very slim.

    Sorry to hear about this.
