I've also wondered why I don't find much on Clickbank Pirate. I'd like to see what others say.

It's probably not worth it or we would have heard a blurb at least.

That probably means we are on someone's gullible list

Click away from the page and you will get an offer for the first month for less than $5 - as opposed to $47. Probably worth trying out at that price.

Was lucky to see this project form as an idea, to launch date today.

It's well worth it and one of the best plug and play systems I've ever used.

Those are two of the hardest working people in this business and deserve all the praise and kudos. So I'll give them some - Way to go guys!

One of the comments on site said that they have their own back-end sales products:

"And they are even going to mail your prospects with backend offers - you cannot beat that, these guys know how to really pick up sales. In fact they were in our top 5 on MME4 so you are lucky to have these guys mailing for you!

          That's a nice start!

Especially if you get (some) commission on these!

By anyone's standards, those intro. videos are hypey. They take "it requires no work" to kind of ridiculous levels.

System looks cool, though, and the Plug 'n Play blog idea is one of the best I've seen - that alone is worth something significant.

On the flipside - I recall Cindye concurring they will initially only be working with MMO products - a huge downer to me.

It also was quite annoying to me that they heavily edited blog comments - folks with serious questions included. I don't like that, but that's just me.

I'd say the jury's out, but I can clearly see some value.

            Hi Ademartin,

Because you signed up for the less expensive trial you only start out with two packages to promote, CBPirate itself and apparently Exit Pop (those are randomized. I didn't get that one.)

When I view the promo tools I see prewritten emails, articles, posts, tweets, signatures, and code for banners.

Yes, I also see banners that say things like "blogging to the bank". These banners appear to be related traffic generating things that they are trying to sell to you and I was also confused by them at first. Just block out the pictures mentally and focus on the text if you want to see what promotion tools you have.

I'm not planning on using much of the pre-generated text. I'm more interested in how they've already set up the squeeze page and report delivery. That's what I'm thinking is worth the $47 (if they're effective, of course). And then them doing follow-up for you is hopefully worth the $27/monthly.

As far as I can tell the only way to see that part is to experience it. Click on your affiliate link at the very top of the view promo tools section. That way you can see the squeeze page like your customers will. Enter an email in order to get the report and see the rest of the process.

They were reportedly going to cap sales at 1,000, but have busted through the 2,500 level and still going strong.

I see some pro and con there - both are fairly obvious. Good luck Beth and others - I'm pulling for you!

Looked good but turned out to not live up to all the hype. Don't waste your money or time! I am not a "newbie" to internet marketing. First made money as an affiliate in 2004. Unfortunately, there are more programs filled with hype than ones that truly work. Guess that is because there are too many people willing to tell lies to make the quick buck than ones who want to be able to look at themselves in the mirror. On top of that they will usually joint venture with others willing to sing their praises to grab a piece of the pie.

I already purchased and tried this out both through Adwords and through free ads. With their supposed auto followup expected to see some results - certainly within a few days. This is just another program that looks good but doesn't work! Am not a "newbie" and initially found what they were claiming to be as close to auto program as you could get. They even addressed the question as to what if too many people were promoting the same products, etc. Unfortunately, this has also turned out to be one of those where the 5 products you are given to promote a free report are essentially promoting this product. it is really too bad because the idea is a good one if they had only actually set up squeeze pages, auto responder, etc. for a wide variety of products worth promoting.

I haven't bought the product but you will find most products come with upsells & downsells. Could be wrong here but by having ups & downs its a great way to add to your bottom dollar. Don't get angry at them for doing so.

I bought it only yesterday, so there's not much to review yet.

There is an upsell/OTO, at least if you start out with the full-price $47 package. It's $97. For that you get one extra affiliate product package per month, the ability to sort your preferences as to the type of product you will receive (still almost entirely make money online) since not every member gets exactly the same ones, a number of free points to various traffic systems, and PLR to the OTO page they use.

The layout inside is easy to navigate. The emails/blog posts/articles they provide that you can use to promote your links are well written and appropriate for the medium, if sometimes lacking a bit of pizzazz. They do let you insert tracking codes into your links/banners as well so you can figure out where your traffic came from.

The squeeze pages are slick. I signed up for the reports for all of the offers I have available using another email address and they were definitely appropriate for giving me some value and moving me along the sales funnel. I'll be interested to see what backend emails come up. There's a lot of clickbank pirate advertising going along with the rest of it, but it looks like if someone clicks on that a commission still goes to my account.

I've not really done affiliate marketing before and I've always approached it mentally from the idea of you're talking about something else and you find a product that audience would like and put it in context for them. This is decidedly the other way around, unless you already have a list/lens/blog on making money online.

I'm going to give it a solid try. It's self-contained enough to remove some of my stress but gives me enough flexibility that I feel like I can add value through how I choose to promote the products.

You bought it yesterday and are now using a forum to promote it and try to make money from it. This is a product that definitely does not live up to even half of its claims. Think of it like telling someone all you have to do is promote this product that doesn't actually make money until you get someone else sucked in!

Yes it does come with the offer (oto) of upgrading to a higher number of themed packages per month. You don't need to take this of course, just gives you the option.

It's pretty late where I am so my brain is more fried than usual but I just cannot see what this all about.

After reading the endless sales page I wasn't going to bother but clicking away gives you a $5 "try it out" option so I gave it a go.

Received the email where it says,
    ============
    Access Packs

This is where you access your turnkey
    system and their promo tools.
    ============

So after logging in and clicking on "Access Packs" there are promo tools to sell their program, "Clickbank Pirate", as an affiliate and an Exit Pop program or system. They are promoting additional affiliate programs in the members area in the form of (4) 468 x 60 banners which is quite confusing as you don't initially know if it's a promo tool for the "turnkey package" or something they are flogging in the members area.

It's the same for the Exit Pop package except there are 6 banners instead of 4.

I am obviously missing something here because even allowing for normal exaggeration on the sales page I was expecting something more than a load of affiliate promo materials and an Exit Pop product. If I had paid $47 for this I don't think I would be too happy so please, put me right folks. Tell me the powerful strategy that is going straight over my head.

    Good Night Folks,

    Ade

P.S. This is probably one of those posts where you wake up in the morning, make a cup of coffee, check the thread and feel like a right dork because you really have missed the obvious!!

You are to be congratulated on figuring things out before paying for this. Sounds like a good program and idea but absolutely does not live up to the claims. Might as well flush your money down the toilet and save yourself a lot of wasted time and effort!

No your not alone. Their support is flooded with What Do I Do Now questions? I've had it for a month and still scratching my head even after going to the webinars. They say just get people to the sites. What sites? What are the URL's to the sites. Is it just my site or all the members sites? Promote to where? I guess it would be great if you had a list to bring to your Blog.
Someone out there just give us a simple breakdown on what to do...please....It's got to be staring us right in the face, but what is it???

        Go into your member's area.
Click on Access Packages on the top tool bar
        Click on one of those.
Click on the top link. It should take you to a squeeze page - a website with a place to input a name and email address in order to get the free report that the page is talking about.

        That is your site.
It looks the same as everyone else's site who has that package to promote but it has YOUR affiliate id in it. So if someone puts their email into the page then any future purchases they make forever and forever will be credited to you and you will receive a commission.

So what you do now is you do your best to send people to that site.
You can try using the emails, articles, tweets, signatures and so forth that you can see if you scroll down. Personalizing them might be good though.
Look at the traffic training section for ideas.
Yes, it would probably be easier if you had a blog or list already interested in these products.

Use the tracking codes so you know which, if any, of your efforts are effective.
For example, if you write an article then say get the free report at url/art1
And if you use a traffic exchange then input the url/te1 as your landing page.

I didn't have much success but there are others who have. Your choice if you want to continue. If you do, I hope this helped.

Hello there, I'm new here at warrior forum. I found the forum here as I was actually researching a little into the cb pirate program. Thank you pearsonbrown, after reading your heads up I definately wanted to see what it was about, and for 4.95.. anyhow, I took the program and infact they gave me 2mth trial for the 4.95 so I thought Id come back and let everyone know, sure the heck never hurts to check out some thing new for 4.95, and the grief it would have cost me had I not just wondering, shudda couldda wouldda its well worth it!

      @ bethrobinson

      Thanks for your input Beth.

I decided not to run with this mainly because it's not flexible enough for me. The emails being sent out to the list have 3 links in them, 2 straight links for CB Pirate themselves and one obvious affiliate link which means the member is losing prospects. As it stands, any prospects on the members list have a 2 in 3 chance of going directly to CB Pirate and the member loses out on a commission.

Looking at it from the point of view of someone who already has a list the program may be worth promoting for the commission.

From what I can see, like any other program, you still have to work on getting targeted traffic so, after the time and effort spent in gaining prospects, I don't see the point in sending them to CB Pirate when you could be promoting your own content without paying a monthly membership fee.

Certainly the follow ups and marketing system, (which is excellent), is in place for newcomers who just have to learn to promote and do nothing else but it's my feeling that the money would be better spent in building their own list which they have full control over.

One of the selling points for CB Pirate is "you don't have to pay for hosting, autoresponders, link cloakers, writers etc.". My thinking is that you really should be paying for hosting, autoresponders and so on.

Like I say, for me it's not flexible enough but maybe I'm just a control freak and I guess, if the system makes more than the monthly fee then it may be considered a winner except I can't get passed what I consider to be giving my hard earned prospects away, and that is not good marketing.

The above is not being critical of CB Pirate as there has been a lot of good work gone into the package and it would definitely be of value to someone starting out to see a full promo system in operation and they also give pointers on how to get traffic.

Let me know if I made any errors in my comments on CB Pirate.

Ade, I agree with you completely that in many ways this is a tool for a newbie and it's something that I hope will eventually become a small percentage of what I do online.

I want to be able to control all those things you mentioned. Very much. But the point for me is that I haven't DONE it yet because I keep getting stuck in doing it "right". I'm using my trial of Clickbank Pirate to get me out of my comfort zone and into trying something new.

I'll post a results review in this thread in a month or so.

I already purchased and tried this out and experimented with promoting ppc ads and through free ads. That is usually a bad sign but you won't know it until you get the 5 products to promote. It is really too bad because the idea is a good one if they had only actually set up squeeze pages, auto responder, etc. for a wide variety of products worth promoting. Don't waste your time or money on this!

Like Kent above I also found the original intro stuff far too hypey and it did put me off. Then when the launch came and I kept declining the offer I was finally shown the 4.95 one and thought "What the heck"...it does fit in with what I am trying to do...so I subscribed. Best thing I've done this year.

I found the bonuses worth far more than the original asking price per month. Either that or they were really geared for my level of learning which is also quite possible...but either way, I'm a very satisfied cat.

I believe they have slid into a gap that was missing but unrecognized until someone (these guys) came along and filled it. When an average 'newbie' goes to CB they are confronted with a whole lot of data that many of us don't understand.

Where on CB does it really explain the 'real' meaning/affect of what everything means? I haven't understood it yet and to find a system that utelises CB's full potential is a huge help.

I think CB-pirate will be a good extra arrow in an intermediate or experienced marketers quiver because if they already know how to drive traffic properly, then they get a pretty cheap 'outsourced' revenue raiser with someone else doing all the work. Isn't that called leverage?

If you are concerned and want to build your own list then there's absolutely no reason why you can't send them through your own squeeze page first if you want total control of your list. I will be doing that as soon as I have done some more work on my new website.

As for them promoting their own product as one of the two for the 4.95 option....why wouldn't they? Makes perfectly good sense to me and I would expect to pay this small option price for my $5 intro offer.

As for it being 1 of the 5 products initially offered, why wouldn't they be promoting their own new product into the market? I would, wouldn't you if it was your product?

OK, I've decided it suits me well and I would honestly recommend it to many others who are in the same boat as me.

    Cheers all,

    Jan

      Hey Jan,

I'm looking at this product right now and it seems useful from an outsourcing P.O.V. all I have to do is promote. What I am hearing though is that the 5 products are not actually 5 separate niche clickbank products, but generic ebooks that point back to CB Pirate... is that true?

GCWorld, there's certainly a bit of flavor of making money by signing up new members due to the way the promotions are set up, so I understand your objection to what I posted. I still believe there is value to the program and expressing my opinion added information to this thread.

The link in my signature goes to a blog which currently has about as many neutral and negative things to say about the program as positive. I won't complain if someone signs up through the sidebar ad, but that's not really the point to it.

I'm not expecting to make money through the blog visitors, nor by promoting Clickbank Pirate. I'm hoping for some interaction from my blog as I know this type of learning log works better for me when I get feedback.

I'm expecting to make money, if I do, through the packages that Clickbank Pirate provided to me for other products. I submitted my first article today, after months of avoidance, and am looking forward to seeing if anything happens.

Anthony, The 5 separate products are indeed Clickbank products. It's the thank you pages and free reports that have a big CB Pirate graphic ad plastered on them that is a bit obtrusive. For example, I've received access to promotional packages for ReadyMade Review Sites and Build a Niche Store and the Money Siphon System, among others, all of which are sold on Clickbank.

    Hi Anthony and all,

The products they are listing are clickbank products and it's not just products from the three involved in the project but there are other well known marketers who have contributed their products as limited bonuses that are truely worth having ~ if you can still get them?

Like Beth, I'm not intending or expecting to make too much from signing people up to cb-pirate but what I'm wanting from the project is cb products that sell well and that come with value added content ....and as they provide the backend deals to follow up these contacts this is precisely what suits me right now.

If all I have to do is to promote cb-pirate (which is a perfect fit for my new website anyway) while I actually build my new website ~ it's spot-on the money for my needs. The bonuses are really the icing on the cake :-) and they are sweeet

    Cheers all,

I also signed up for the trial version of cb pirate. I have only had the product for a few days, but here are my first thoughts on it.

There are a lot of pieces to successful internet marketing and I haven't got them all put together successfully yet. I know what all the pieces are and find getting my own package together an overwhelming task to take on. I like CB Pirate because it offers most of the pieces already in place. This gives me the opportunity to focus my effort on getting traffic. And learning all I can about that.

I do see three problems with the system.

1- Lack of control over the list - You are limited to only promoting what they want to promote. You can't see if messages are getting opened, links are getting clicked, and the worst part is that you lose the list when you decide to discontinue the membership.

2- Limited Reporting - As I mentioned I can't tell what happens once the email is sent out. There is no tracking. There is a report on their site that shows how many people clicked on your links and the conversions. This is better then nothing, but I still feel like I am missing information that would help better focus my time and efforts.

3- All the products appear to be MMO opportunities - Making money is a profitable niche, but also severely competitive. I was hoping to have some of these tools in other niches where I could expand my focus.

All the tools they provide to help with marketing fit well with my limited time, budget and skills. I don't have to figure out a good package, create a squeeze page, come up with something to entice people into giving me their contact information, or write my marketing material from scratch. So far it is working well for me. I have already made my first sale and have a growing list of prospects. You of course don't have to use their squeeze page. You could setup your own squeeze page and then send the people to your cb pirate page. This could also reduce the reporting problem. Overall I am very happy with the product I received and I am making money with it so I would say it was well worth the inexpensive fee I paid so far.

GCworld - I find it interesting that you joined this forum this month, kind of interesting that is the same month CBP is released. And then you go above and beyond to tell members not to buy it....Interesting...

Anyways, I'm a big fan of this program. Yes, I know Soren and Cindy both, but I saw this developed from day one to now. They have executed it perfectly. It's a great ssystem, if you use it.

Is it as simple as plug n play? Kind of, but we all know how hard the 'traffic' side of things can be, so they do provide some great information within the members area to give everyone a few tips and tricks.

I'm not going to start throwing up bogus Clickbank account pics. All I can tell you is that the products within the system DO SELL. And have been selling for me.

This system was designed to be simple. It's not supposed to be the answer for everyone, just a very 'laid back' way to make some money with Clickbank. The system works, I've seen it myself.

I bought CBPirate about a week ago. I must say that I was disappointed with the package. Ok, so I bought it for $4.95 but it didn't say that you will only get partial benefits in doing so. I thought they would pick out the best converting Clickbank products and help us to promote it through our own affiliate link, but all it has is the CBPirate product itself and another product. (plunder and pillage Clickbank for profit?) I am not quite a newbie and find that if I just wanted to promote CBPirate as an affiliate I could have probably done so for free.

As it is I have a website -my own - an autoresponder, a link cloaker, and some very popular Clickbank products, and none of this has cost me anything at all - not even hosting. I have found all this for free and will never have to pay for it. I even designed my own website in a flash while not knowing anything about HTML etc. I am not sure if it will find favour in the way I did it, but this al least helps me to keep track of everything as well.

I can tell you where to get it all for free as well if you like.

Michael, I'd submit a support ticket and ask. Sunny is very helpful and gets back to you quickly. My guess is that since all the payments will come from CBPirate through Clickbank that the altered affiliate name is necessary to do the tracking to make that happen but you still get the full commission. I haven't made a sale yet, so can't say for sure.

        Hi Warriors,

I've joined CB pirate. Gave my email in the squeeze page of one of the products.

Then in the first follow-up autoresponder message, I clicked on the promo link, went to the Clickbank order page, and down at the bottom I checked to see if my affiliate id is written.

It says [affiliate=MyAffId.cbpirate] instead of simply [affiliate=MyAffId]. Will I still get the full commission % for that Clickbank product?

          Yes, you should.

the ".cbpirate" is just a tracking id. That's all.

No real super expectations, it just fits with what i am doing and can see some longer term benefits and also impressed with thier back end support offered to me

When I first signed on, I was disappointed. The members area seemed very thin. But after watching the first webinar, I "get it". Most of the value takes place behind the scenes. Basically, they give you a video squeeze page to send traffic to. And then they've taken their automated conversion process-- free report with CB links, follow-up autoresponder, etc-- and set it in motion with your affiliate links. It's really quite impressive.

The key question, as in many of these types of "business in a box" systems where all you do is add traffic, is whether the profit you earn is worth the time/money you put into generating the traffic. So far, the materials seem first-rate, which is to say that if you were to set up your own sales process, you probably couldn't do much better. And most of us would probably not do as thorough a job with follow-up emails and cross-selling.

You sacrifice some by not building your own brand and your own list since it seems the emails go out from CB Pirate's aweber account with their names in them. And it would be nice to have access to the list you're building. They claim they build your list and promote to it for you, but if you cancel your membership, you lose all that. Maybe in the future, they will allow some way to export or mail to your own list. But as it is now, you're trading off building your own business/list and all the work that entails for getting the profits and letting someone else do the work.

We'll see how it goes, but as of now, I think there is value there, and I'd recommend it.

I also bought into CB-pirate, but then I got a free membership from my MME4 program...nice..But I would not by this program if you know how to do your own adverticing. The onlything you pay for is the mails, banners, tweets and so on, the CB minisites are already on ClickBank itself! They don't provide enough information on traffic generation either, only gives you the promotion tools.

Really like the passive income potential for this product since CB-Pirate will follow up and cross-sell to our customers for life. Only time will tell, of course. But we need to be patient with it and let things develop. All we need to do is direct traffic to the squeeze pages.

The best bit it is, it is perfect for newbies as the only thing they have to worry about is driving traffic to it, by whatever means.

The bonuses inside are cool too, some of which I have thought about purchasing in the past and can now get for free.

I've been working with Clickbank Pirate for the last 25 days and I've decided to cancel my membership, primarily due to it not fitting within my personal business goals.

I sent traffic and collected views of the squeeze pages via traffic exchanges (6000), safe lists(70), a couple articles(20), and assorted blog posts(70) and received no conversions. I definitely could have done more, but this is where I ended up.

I looked at the sales funnel - squeeze page to free reports to emails to product - for a couple products in detail. This customer-following backend is really the whole point to the membership and I found it to be of reasonable quality and to follow a logical path.

I would have unsubscribed to the email series as being too much sell and not enough info (even though there's a new free report every four to five emails) but I am not exactly the target market either. I seriously prefer low-hype, which is part of the reason that I'm leaving.

The provided promotional materials are a good start. I thought some were from an odd angle but some were very good. The quality varied a little from package to package.

The free blog was okay - you can see more details at Taking Action with Clickbank Pirate if it stays up. I'm actually asking for a refund so it will likely be deleted. If I had conversions and just didn't want to continue I would only cancel and they would keep following up on my previous sign-ups for me (as I understand it.)

The bonus traffic training at Traffic Generation 101 had the flavor of a mish-mash of plr products gone SQUISH. But it was in a neat unlocking each module as you go type of set up and I really enjoyed the bonus interviews. The audio seminars that have been being posted as part of the main membership were well done and definitely worth listening to for more traffic training as it relates to the program.

      Conclusion -

If content creation or email follow-up frustrates you then give this one a try. You'll likely still have to do some personalizing, but it could be better than what you're working with now.

If you already sell into the make money online niche then this may be worth it the products that aren't directly in your niche, but as sidelines that you wouldn't otherwise support.

As a newbie taking first actions I still believe it simplifies things in a good way and can be worth doing.

For me, it simplified enough that I realized I wanted to do something else! I want more control and don't want to take the time to figure out how to drive traffic to these sites if it's not easy. I'd rather use that time to build up my own more authoritative site. I do appreciate this program for helping give me the kick in the butt I needed to start taking action and hope I can keep up my momentum.

I've been dabbling with this the past few weeks... have sent some traffic to the squeeze pages, but got no conversions. Then I signed up with different email addresses to my own squeeze pages, and never got an email confirmation or free report or anything. Not even in my spam box. Anyone else have this experience? Are they having email deliverability problems. If so, kinda makes the whole system worthless.

No matter how good the info is in any program, if one doesn't know how to generate traffic to the site one will fail. People here are saying CBP is a good program for newbies. I argue that it isn't good for newbies as this group of people have the least knowledge of the methods to get traffic to a site, and they have no inkling of how much perseverance and repetetiveness it takes to achieve even a trickle of traffic let alone a flood of it.

I've bought and tested it a month ago. If you are trying to earn a buck or two, you may achieve that objective. But if you are trying to build a business, stay away from this product as it will not build your own list. You will build the owner's lists instead.

Every email that the site sends out will include CB pirate owners' affiliate link; however in the name of the owner of the site plus the owner's link to his own websites and pro-folio.

Buy it if you take MMO as a hobby, otherwise, stay away.

I bought Clickbank Pirate when it was launched and have been working it pretty much as per the instructions and training provided.

I am by no means an expert, but I would fully endorse this product for newbies and experienced marketers alike.

For newbies, a turnkey system really is provided, with selected Clickbank products, splash pages, emails, signatures, text ads, articles and forum posts but, for me, the best part of the entire system is the training. It gives a comprehensive and step by step set of instructions for driving traffic to the splash pages, and the methods could all be used without additional costs. This knowledge, once gained will translate into ANY online marketing project.

Now, with that said, I don't think a newbie is going to generate sales of $1000/mth any time soon, as the CB Pirate ads suggest, but $47 / $97 is not much to pay for training that is this comprehensive and user friendly.

For the record, to date I have generated $74 in commissions, so it does work and my net outlay is now only $23.

For more experienced people with their own lists, I would echo what others have said. This is a plug and play, fire and forget, system that they can offer to their lists and that, no doubt, will provide another profitable income stream.

Compared with so may product creators, Cindy and Soren, have put a lot of effort into creating a product with real value, no "missing" links, and I think they truly care about their customers' results, rather than just being after our money. My only real criticism is that $1000/mth will be hard for most newbies to achieve as quickly as they would probably hope to.

People should also be aware that there is an ongoing stream of "offers", but remember that these are also being offered to YOUR leads too, and could generate commissions for YOU. Just be aware of what's happening and say "no" to them if you don't want them.

I purchased CBPirate back when it first launched, but I quickly decided it wasn't for me when I realized that any list I would be building would be for the company and not for my own use.

This goes against everything I know about Internet Marketing, which is to always concentrate on building your own list. Therefore, I was quite surprised to see that CBPirate teaches just the opposite.

Yes, this is an EASY plug and play system, and the Lead Capture Pages are fantastic. I even like the idea of not having to write my own followup emails, since they take care of that as well as back-end selling, but still I just can't justify building a list for the company and not even having access to it at all.

And, if that wasn't bad enough, in the followup emails send out to all who fill out your Lead Capture Page, the signature is that of the owners of CB Pirate, so there is no branding here either.

Now, to add icing on the cake, I cannot even seem to get a refund for this program. I can't blame CBPirate for this as it seems to be a problem with Clickbank, but nonetheless, it is very annoying.

The problem is that this is a Monthly Membership site, and I ended up paying the first monthly installment before I asked for a refund, so Clickbank refunded my first installment, but not my original purchase, despite going back and forth about 10 times now. I keep explaining the problem and they keep replying that they have refunded my account.

I will think twice about joining another monthly fee program through Clickbank as it is too much of a pain to cancel or get a refund.

It's good to sell but no good to use? Well, if Jon Olson approves of it,I would be hard pressed to think it is not valuable. I hadn't seen any real complaints CB Pirate about so I decided to sell it on my blog and not buy it. But quite frankly, I think Jeff's Mulligan's CBMall or Pro2 by Rich Davies is better. I have them on my ClickBank affiliate site.
Ah,yes, I read one of the posts above and it reminded me that the reason I sold rather than bought it was that it was a membership site and you always make more money on membership sites
when you sell them and lose more money on membership sites when you buy them.

I received Click Bank Pirate as a bonus for my membership in Delta Squadron - still checking them both out. The biggest concerns I see with CB Pirate is that its too "cookie cutter" - how is this going to fly with Google and their duplicate content issues? Also, they explain in their initial getting started videos that you don't capture any of the optin email information when customers hit your squeeze page - they say they aren't collecting it either, so not sure if that's worthwhile. Seems like there are many easier options - like getting a squeeze page template that you can capture customers for ongoing revenues. I can see the allure for someone who is new and doesn't have much knowledge on how to set this stuff up, but I am concerned that there will be way too many people with the very same info on there, and don't like at all that I can't capture my customer base.

If I'm missing something, please let me know. I just started looking at this system and haven't done a lot yet - just the initial training videos.

The concept of Clickbank Pirate is good. The materials offered to use for your promotional activities are adequate. If you're a newbie, this would be a good place to get your feet wet without losing your shirt. I've been using it with some success, although nothing to write home about. I see two main problems with it:

      1. As others have mentioned, the list you're working so hard to build is not your own. You have no access to it. They use it to continually sell other Clickbank products on your behalf, but should you ever leave Clickbank Pirate, you lose the entire list.

      2. It seems to me they have saturated the market for the products they have chosen to promote. Yes, everyone gets different products. However, there are only about 20 - 25 products altogether and everyone now has five, if they started back in August with the minimum 2 (you get a new one every month). Therefore, we all share our products with many, many other CP users, all using the exact same promotional materials.

I'm still not sure if I'll stay in CP for the long term. Right now I'm at least breaking even. If that doesn't improve by the end of this year, I'll probably quit.

I am guessing thats your little blog post ? if so here is some useful stuff for you that may help.

When people sign up they should try and use a call to action as the user name, as this user name is shown in the URLs emailed out, for example

      /download
      /view

and so on it looks better than a normal domestic name, anyway regardless of that there is no doubt its great for newbies, but as above with the post by kbrockm you do not have access to your own list.

As a marketer the owner is doing great guns as people are signing up and paying to build his list in a sense, what a great deal that is i am sure.

I had 2 accounts and have canceled one due to building a list for another person did not seem a good long term prospect.

The remaining one i have i deciding to drop or keep ? but if i keep it i will only now use my own opt in page / form and just back fill the stuff needed with the pirate info supplied, at least this way i get to keep 100% of the list, and in effect then pay a few bucks a month to grab the graphics, reports and blogs and articles.

Even with that its really a tough call to even bother with that part, I will give it another month before making a call on that.

    Hi Phargy,

Getting Traffic is both an important and difficult job. But it's not an end in itself. What you are seeking to do is to build up your list. With this product, you do not own the list you build up. Stop paying the monthly fee and your list disappears into thin air. All that hard work gone.

What kind of domain names do the blogs have?
    Are they indexed by google?
You all are talking about getting traffic is a piece of cake, do you use adwords, articles or what?
So far for me it seems the hardest thing in IM is getting traffic to your sites..

Not sure what it is your wanting to know thats not covered off, the blog is a myname.cbpitae.com site, I doubt very much adwords would support the land pages although some other ad networks may.

There are banner networks who will support some text ads / banners

In many ways its is a great kit for newbies as if they watch what the owner does they can learn from the methods used, or it would be great for a person with a little blog type site where they wanted a neat little bundled package delivered each month with, plr articles, plr blogs, tweets set up,banners set up, forum Sig's set up, land page set up and all auto responder options set to auto and yes throw in the blog.

So for a few bucks they do get a plug play system, the only downfall is the collection of names as mentioned, in reality you are paying to collect names for the owner should you leave, so if you plans are bigger than you own little corner of the world then it may not be for you.

If the system allowed you to plug and play your own awebber account into it then it would be a better package, and i suppose for me it was not worth continuing with as i seen it as a long term non benefit to pay for the collection of names for another person, as mentioned there will be a section of the market who will suit the market for this product and if you are unsure there is a 4.95 trial offer ? (used to be) where you go to log out of the main sales page it will ask for a trial option.

However be warned in that if you were going to do this i would not suggest this option but instead to choose the full package with platinum package for a better long term value, I am not sure if it would be covered by a 60 day money back offer, so check that out.

I am a newbie and like this program very much because I have a heck of a time figuring out all the lego pieces needed to build the ship----if you know what I mean lol. I am looking at this as a long term recurring income stream. I do think the Platinum pkg is a deal---for this newbie. It would take me a loooong time to get this all put together & I wouldn't have any hair left!!!

I know what the concerns are with the list. I just have to let that be for now until I get my other stuff up and running. I have a great new coach and am working on a new site and new product.

I am wondering tho does anyone outsource their traffic building? I am learning it however I did mention I am sloooow right??

Did anyone else stick with CBP and actually work it as a biz?

Seems so many are still looking for the magic bullet-----I know I did for years. Now I am seriously treating this IM as a real biz----and loving it!

    Best to you all,
    Dee

I read about the new Affiliate Siver Bullet programs and that looks to me a better and more flexible version of CBPirate.

I am just thinking to terminate my CBPirate membership and take one woth Affiliate Silver Bullet, but I am a bit worried that I could loose all leads that I have collected until now.

Wanted to mention, if you cancel your membership, you will get to keep everything that you have paid for. We don't delete your list or remove your blog, or even block access to your members area.

We continue to promote to your leads, using your affiliate links - and we even allow you to keep building your list using the squeezepage systems that you have already purchased.

The only thing that happens is that you don't keep getting new ones.

If you decide to refund, we will shut you down. Everything will be gone.

Hmm.. While I would like to encourage people to build your own list - having your own list is one of the most powerful things you can have... if you are one of those people who is just getting overwhelmed, or just not succeeding at pulling all of the bits and pieces together, then CB Pirate is perfect for you.

It is better to grab a hold of a proven system, where everything is done for you - you just send traffic... we monetize forever on your behalf... than to lose focus, not get anything up, not have a solid followup system in place etc. and do nothing.

Clickbank Pirate also works well when you have got some existing websites with traffic - so that you can further monetize your list/customers/clients. You can use the copy and paste banners etc, to place on your websites - so we can promote 100% on your behalf.

All of the income earned goes direct to your Clickbank account, so - that's gotta be good! lol!

Lemme know if you have any more questions! I will try get back to you a bit sooner this next time around!! haha.

        Cheers!

          Cindy,
I have been a member of CBPirate for some time now. I recently got back on track with sending traffic via safelists primarily. I just checked my stats for this month, and see some conversions but to date still no sales. Am I correct in assuming that conversions in the stats merely refer to people that are responding to the offer on the squeeze page but then not buying? Am I correct that there is nothing I can do to influence the potential buyer once they click on my link in the safelist mail?

          Thanks,

            Hey Steve!

Yeah, in CB Pirate conversions = when someone signs up to one of your squeezepages. Any sales that you get will show up in your Clickbank account (not your CB Pirate account).

If they are not buying yet, we will just keep selling to them until they do. We are doing everything the right way, creating bonuses, offering the most enticing reasons for people to buy from your emails - so, keep putting people in the system and we will keep working on it 'til you get some cash.

            - Cindy
