arpReach - Yes or No?

The important thing to remember here is that you are looking to compare a monthly paid autoresponder software (aweber) with a self-owned email marketing automation tool.

Initially the one off cost of arpReach will appear more expensive than a monthly autoresponder service but if you plan on being in business for a year or more then arpReach is the smart choice.

arpReach also has some other impressive advantages over monthly services, the main ones being
a) you can choose which ESP's (SendGrid, Mandrill etc) to send your emails through or use your own server. This allows you to improve your delivery rates.
b) using arpReach as the hub of your contact management, in combination with third party ESP's, you are always in control of your list(s). By this I mean a monthly service may close you down for spam complaints etc. If that happens you may or may not get access to your list but you will certainly need to update all of the forms you have put up. Using arpReach you will not need to change any forms and you just switch to a different ESP to send your emails.
