Hey fellow warriors, quick question - are you using Viddler's paid services. Just noticed they have a $100/mo business account... I've used my own servers with Josh Anderson's transparent player with I love that for my video services... just thought for some 'real quick and easy' stuff, Viddler looked like a nice solution...for getting 1.5 or 1 hour recorded webinars distributed... appreciate your thoughts! cheers, Maria |

Why not a Vimeo Plus account? It's only $60 per year I can't post links yet, just type in vimeo plus in google |

Keep in mind that my goal is to basically have private/unbranded video embeds in my sites protected areas. I can currently do that with the viddler free service and the player is unbranded, but the videos still lurk on the web and a double click on my video will bring the viewer to the viddler site. So this is almost perfect except for the fact that they can click through the video and the videos technically can be found on their site. But hey its Free! so we must be grateful. So it seems Viddler also has a B2B plan which basicly will do the exact same thing as I am doing. (white label player) except that the video will be unclickible and the videos will not be public on their site. This looks like it is going to cost $100 a month for 50GB of badwidth (yikes) plus a $150 setup fee. (50GB is 1000 plays of my 50mb video) Ok, so lets go an look at Vimeo plus now which I have yet to try so there are some questions. .. It seems that for about $60 a year you get to whitelabel your player (same as viddler gives you for free) Seems you also get to do HD embeds of which they give you 25,000 with your price. Also you get to select where you videos are embedded - so that is really nice. you get to make it private on their site as well. So you basicly have a completely private video that can only be embeded on your site. . There is also the possibility that the video can be clicked through to their site as well. A current user would have to verify this as well. This is their training video for the Plus Service http://vimeo.com/1982210 So the summation of my research is that for Free - Viddler is the best bet hands down as they let you whitelabel your player. For a small fee, it seems that Vimeo Plus really takes the cake. and for a much bigger fee, it seems that Viddler Plus is a complete solution that (depending on price) would probably be easier than setting up Amazon S3? Other people have comments or can chime in? | |
