        You can also simply create a php file in your directory that has the contents:

    header ('Location: http://affiliate.vendor.hop.clickbank.net');
     ?>
        That's how I cloak a good number of my affiliate links.

        Additionally, if you want to direct someone to a domain, you can buy said domain name and include a redirect that automatically embeds your affiliate link.

        Ninja Affiliate is a paid Wordpress plugin that makes monetizing past, present and future Wordpress links very easy indeed...you might want to consider that in the future.

      If you're using Wordpress pretty links is the best. If you want to make a keyword linked you simply add the pretty link to SEO Smart Links.

        It is a script that you install on your webserver.
        You get a twenty-three page pdf file that give you all the instructions.
        It has lots of screen shots so that you can just follow along in the process.

        The installer is automated.

        If you never installed a script on your webserver, you should try this one.

        You have to Create a database.

        That shouldn't scare you off. In reality all that you do to create a database is enter a name you want to use.

        You have to Create a User. Again, just create a name.

        If you have CPanel hosting, especially with Theme X, there is a silent video that shows you the simple steps. If you make a mistake, you just delete the user or the database and go again.

        The automated installer file creates all the database tables automatically for you in the install process.

        Then you learn the location where you login as administrator and create your links. You come back to add more or edit them or check the link hit counts. Everything is together in one are.

        You get to use "recommends" links also likes, uses, prefers, suggests if you like one of those better. Start with the recommends because that is the default that the installer file creates to begin with.

        If you are familiar with installing scripts, then this is a piece of cake.

        Pass it on to other newbies in your downline.

    I used to create my own PHP redirect files but I find it troublesome. For my blogs that use Wordpress, I now use Pretty Link. I like it as it has the click stats.

    A lot of the sites mentioned above simply do URL redirection, which just shortens and redirects the link without hiding where the browser ultimately lands. Then there is "link masking" which hides the destination link from humans (good for affiliate links) and finally "link cloaking" which hides the destination link from search engines for SEO purposes.

    You can create a PHP file in your directory that redirects to your affiliate site, like barbling suggested:

    <?php
    header ('Location: http://affiliate.vendor.hop.clickbank.net');
    ?>

    However, my experience has shown that it is still possible to steal your commissions if you choose to use the redirect like this.

    What I do is I use the .htaccess file in my directory. And in it I type the following:

    redirect 301 anyofyourfilesthatyouwillpromote.html your_affiliate_link_like_http://affiliate.vendor.hop.clickbank.net

    If you do so, there's no way to see the vendor ID for your visitors and steal your commissions.
