Default What are your thoughts on the new autoresponder service from Imnicia?

I took out the 30 day trial on the new Imnica autoresponder hoping I'd fall in love with it instantly, cos let's face it... they're offering a great deal. But unfortunately, it wasn't love at first site.

Don't get me wrong, it's an impressive autoresponder. It seems to do everything an autoresponder should do, and then some, but the lack of tutorial assistence has been frustrating for me. Even some basic screenshots would have helped while they're organising their video tutorials. (The videos are coming, aren't they???)

In fairness to Imnica, they do have a support center so if I wanted to submit a ticket I could. I just haven't done that yet.

I was just hoping it would be as easy and intuitive as Aweber for a relative newbie like me. I still reckon Aweber's pretty hard to beat.

Anyone else tried it yet?

There's a lot of information about Imnica here:

Isn't it time you upgrade your AutoResponder Service?

and here's what Richello wrote about tutorials:

" 2. Do you have idiot proof instructions for the technically challenged - going from initial set up through to the infinite possibilities of your system?

We have a full knowledge base on our support system with walk through guides, but, we are adding even more in there, as well as adding videos. These should all be up over the next week."

speakercone and bluegold14, thank you both for you comments.

We agree we need to get the videos out ASAP, and are working on it.

At the same time, we are adding some new features, AND we are building a completely new UI. Reason for the new UI is simply to make it more user friendly, use less JS, and be much more intuitive. The new version is due around mid October time frame.

Whatever videos we are doing now, will have to be re-done for the new interface. At least those new videos will be quicker, as everything will be a lot more intuitive.

We honestly do not mind negative comments about our service in the least! It helps us to find out what is, and what is not working the way our customers want, and thereby continually improving Imnica Mail.

Richelo

Thanks for responding to my comments. I'm rapt to hear about the new interface. That was probably my biggest initial disappointment, although after using it a few days I'm getting around better now. It could be better though, which is what you're saying.

The other thing is this: why aren't the unsubscribe links automatically put at the end of each email. I'm finding that a bit of a hassle. Every other autoresponder I've used does it for you.

I suppose the solution is to create my own template where the links are already inserted. Is that what you would suggest?

Also, a word wrapping feature in text mode would be helpful.

Anyway, I appreciate you getting on the forum and responding to feedback. I'm going to stick with Imnica at least until the new interface comes along, because I think it has the potential to be a great system, every bit as good as Aweber.

speakercone,

The new version will have the ability to automatically place the unsub links, etc.

We initially wanted to give users the most flexibility, by, as you say, allowing the user to create their own templates with the links where and how they want, but, it seems to just be causing some issues.

Word wrap in text is hard to enforce because it differs from user to user. We put the suggested width, but, we can not FORCE people into a specific width. We will look at making word wrap a setting which each user can set to their own preference.

As for the comment about us being every bit as good as one of our competitors......

We can't accept that. We don't want to be as good as..... We WILL be MUCH better! ;-)
