Does any one use Knownhost VPS?

Hi, I am moving from ipage shared hosting to knownhost vps. Earlier i was using sitelock for my website security. I know that knownhost provide security. My doubt is, is that enough or Will I have to take any other security plan for my website.
If any one using knownhost, please let me know that whether you are using any other security plugin or plan. Or Are you happy with knownhost security?
If you don't use any other security plans, did you see any hacking issues?

I had a server on knownhost for 6 months and their security is very good but still i had to use wordfence to prevent other intrusion.
    Perfect combo

I use knownhost too and also utilize wordfence. However their support is very good and will assist you with what ever you need. When using knownhost it is better that you have some understanding of how to administer a server. You will have full access to your WHM and they kind of expect you to know what you are doing. If you are a beginner, new to hosting websites or don't understand hosting concepts very well, they may not be for you. this is my experience with them.

Never rely on a hosts security for anything, you need to take care of your own security.

Like the others above said, if you are using Wordpress, then Wordfence is a must as well as limit login attempts plugin.

Make sure your username is not "admin"...make it something complicated as well as a very complicated password with numbers, upper and lower case letters and symbols.

Configure CPHulk in WHM to lock out and ban IP's that try to access WHM or CPanel with more then 3 wrong tries.

Make sure you NEVER save login details in Filezilla and always disconnect and close Filezilla....I know so many people, including myself that have been hack via FTP.

Make sure all your FTP passwords and usernames are Long and complex also.

And if you want to be super safe and have a static IP...you can configure WHM to ONLY allow your IP access to WHM/CPanel and FTP.

All that's fairly simple to setup with a little bit of Googling, and when its setup....you're good to go.

It's always best to take things into your own hands and with the setup above, you will never need to pay extra for in my opinion wasteful security packages sold by hosts.
