Yeah I wonder where the heck the list comes from...

First, since the list come from "pushed button", instead of squeeze pages, would services like aweber even accept this kind of leads?

Second, if the software go about scraping emails from nowhere, and adding them to your list, ain't it considered spamming?

Third, if the lead isn't even opted in, I wonder about the quality of the leads....

I noticed that if you try to navigate away from the page or close your browser that you get offered a 3 day trial for $5. I might give that a whirl and see what the real story is on this system.

I have to admit this one of the most confusing and misleading sales pages I have read in a long time, only by reading a 1 line comment on a testimonial was I able to understand (I think!) what this product does

Why can't you just print in plain English 1 paragraph that explains what it does?

I purchased Magic List Bot this morning to see what the buzz is all about. There are several upsells, 1 of which I bought. I have been through all of the videos twice.

To be completely honest I have been an internet marketer for about a year now and I understand "techie" stuff pretty well. However, after watching these training videos I am completely confused and don't know how to start.

I emailed there support for some suggestions but have not received a response yet. (it's only been a couple of hours since I sent the email, I am sure they are busy with the product launch). Anyways this is the actual email I sent to give a better idea of what I am talking about with the training vids.

[If I could make a suggestion:

Please don't take this the wrong way. This is just constructive criticism & feedback that I am sure you will be getting from other customers. Nothing personal.

I just purchased magic list bot and went through all of the videos. I still have no clue what Magic list bot does or how to use it. My suggestion would be to make a video demonstrating magic list bot at work. i.e. how you would use it as an affiliate or to make a list. It would be much easier to understand what to do with this great software if we could visually see it in action.

Yes you tell us how to download it, and yes you tell us how powerful it is. However, a video demonstration on how to use it would be nice. How would you use it with ebay, amazon, clickbank, facebook, myspace, twitter...etc. What are the steps. Do I just put an affiliate link in the software? If so...then what? I just feel like there is a lot of crucial info left out that leaves us hanging & confused

Also, I purchased the traffic generation coaching. There is a video out of place. The video describing tubemogul was placed in the "part 2 this month's bonus video".

Finally, when you were describing "this month's bonus technique" it's like you left out steps?? What exactly did you do? How does the script work? Why is it grey hat? How do you edit the script?

I have been marketing online for a year now and have a good grasp of the "techie stuff". But I can't help but feel confused about what exactly I am able to do with this software. More importantly, I have the wherewithal to understand that this IS a powerful software. Just don't know how to use it.

Again, nothing personal, just some feedback

Thank You,
Jared]

Anywho, it is a little frustrating because I want to get started with this thing but I don't know what to do

Hi Jared, you should receive a response by now. We were a little backed up with support requests due to the incredible amount of sales we have been getting.

Also, I apologize if it might have caused any inconvenience - please refresh the member's area and you should see video #2 - this video explains in great detail how Magic List Bot works - the same with Magic PopUp and Magic Twitter List Builder. They are updated regularly.

Usually, not just with us but with anyone else, please allow for a 24-48 hour window for support staff to respond to you.

Hope you enjoy the software products!

Regards,

Paul

hello, here is my question: it says trial fee for 4.99 - how long is the trial? after that how much when your trial memberhip expires? This is the problem i have notced, everytime new product come out, its always been a question mark, i they dont explained in plain, simple english, they always make you wonder.. its a trick! the moment you bought it thru credit card of course, there you go.. surprsing twist of the story.. at the end as usual every new product gradually disapper on the internet, because they never been honest or straight forward to their clients or internet users and often they failed...

Thanks for the video Paul. It actually makes more sense after watching it. Quick question though. The link that you send traffic to. Where is that hosted? On your server?

It looks pretty intriguing so I might have to give it a try.

Thanks for the great compliment Linda - I've been getting a lot of great feedback from it. You make great videos please keep churning them :-) If you have any suggestions and feedback on how we can improve the software let me know.

We just made a huge update to our Magic Twitter List Builder software based on the feedback of our users.

- Chris, yes, it is. The reason is simple, you are in full control of your business and lists. From a search engine/PPC point of view and from an article marketer's perspective that's a crucial aspect.

If you have a link such as "01215.mywebsite.com" that is randomly generated by a website, you are not building a business but rather depending on someone else who often doesn't have your best interests at heart - unfortunately a lot of newbies fall into this trap. ( I did too when all my hardwork became "inactive" once I cancelled a continuity program once)

However, since the user doesn't need a webhost, a domain name or anything else to use Magic Popup and Magic Twitter List Builder - we are in the process of updating Magic List Bot to be fully integrated to these as well soon.

Hope that helps,

Paul

Ok I bought the software a couple of hours ago and can now give a fully qualified review.

Magic List Bot is part of a 3 part suite of software that uses the Magic Popup as it's core program to function. So the first step in your process is to use the Magic Popup software to generate your javascript popup.

Once you have this code you can now run the Magic List Bot software and integrate this code into a new page redirect that uses the code from Magic Popup to display a popup over the page you specify through the setup of the Magic List Bot steps.

Here is an example of a popup that the software will generate:
Magic List Bot Review

The Magic List Bot software will, once configured, automatically generate and post a tweet to your twitter account for you thus making it a very viral software application.

All in all this is excellent software that is well worth the $77 price tag. For that matter I believe it is worth the $197 price tag considering all of the bonuses you get with the purchase. The Magic List Bot has a minor bug in it, in that if you click on the tabs instead of the next or back buttons it loses the settings and you have to re-enter some of them, but I'm sure this will be fixed in the next update.

If you visit the site listed above you will see a really good example of how well this software works.

Anyway I hope this helps some of you in making your decision on whether its worth the money or not. It is good solid software that I can see many uses for.

Hi Everyone,

It might be worth reading this before you buy.

This is an extract from a post on madimmarketing.com:

"At this point let me also point out the common sneaky trick that the marketers often try to pull off, and this is the case as well. They tell you very bold and shocking claims, such as “steal leads from other sites” and so on. That’s as if you can inject your code to those sites and have all visitors see your opt in form. That’s not how it works. The site with your popup is in an iframe on your own site which you still have to promote as any other offer. Be sure you understand this".

I hope this helps,

Andrew.

Hi, I just visited the BZ9 website, and one of the differences for me is they want a $12.95 per month for their service and the list bot is a one time fee. Which is better? I am leaning towards the magic list bot.

There are lots of "membership" type sites that offer this service some charging as much as $47/month for it. I like the fact that Magic List Bot is a one time fee myself.

Thanks Rick! That was my main goal here - I'm not familiar with the service you talk about, will check it out -- I'm sure they don't have Magic Twitter List Builder in the scheme of things.

I was extremely particular about this especially from a google and search engine point of view (plus the last thing you want is for your visitors to see the magic links pointing back to us and giving us recognition but not you!)

Also, we will be adding a similar plan in a week or two WITHOUT any membership fees - it will be free if you get Magic List Bot within the launch week sale!

So it will be a one-time fee for everything. We already have that infrastructure in place for Magic Popup and Magic Twitter List Builder, only need to integrate Magic List Bot into the scheme of things - isn't tough to do.

We are updating the member's area as we speak - in the next couple of days we'll put a "Request a feature" form in the member's area where you can request any feature you like and we'll start putting them into the software and there are free lifetime updates!

We have a team of programmers doing this and with the massive success of the 3 for 1 software suite (close to hitting ClickBank #3 very soon in just 1 day) it gives us more of a reason to keep making it better.

Exciting stuff! Thanks for all the feedback guys!

Regards,

Paul

I just looked at vids I got the concept... I'm in. These guys have had good products in the past [auction Acrobat is good] So I'm I feel even better about the buy. Keep in mind you have to drive traffic to build a list or sell anything... at least that's how I understand it.

Bought it, installed it and got to the point of posting in Twitter. Up to now the program seems to have no purpose. I can do it manually too. Worst of all: Wrote an email to support and the email bounced back as an error in their server. Consequence cannot get support? Paul, please take care of clients before they ask for refunds.

Go email support it's on the member's area - maybe there was a typo in email.

Well Paul, all that Php editing and all you mention is not in any of your videos I guess. You need to publish some more clarifying instructions to sell this program and for people make it do what you say it does.
The only videos I saw are in your download pages. Nothing about Php editing, JS files or anything.Other than that, your Twitter page did not work (the form you give in your site that is reached from the link in the download page). So. I just hope your Support answers me soon and gives me solutions or clear manuals. If your objective was to sell to very experienced php developers like you, well, you should have mentioned that that level of expertise was required in your sale page. Otherwise, you need to post very good instructions for your program
I'll be waiting for support before I decide if I stay with this program or ask for refund.
Thank you

There is NO need of any expertise in even basic HTML - no code to edit or anything with our software. There's a 5 minute install guarantee on our site for this reason.

It is impossible to do what Magic List Bot, Magic Twitter List Builder and Magic Popup do in 5 minutes - all by yourself manually.

If you have any other questions direct them to our support.

Thank you,

Paul

Clearest explanation I've seen yet about what the software actually does.

Looks like it's basically the same thing as Affiliate Link Magic. Main difference is Affiliate Link Magic is $10 and Magic List Bot is $77.

It looks like the $10 Affiliate Link Magic is a very basic version; the "Pro" version of Affiliate Link Magic is $197.00.

Yes, there is a basic and a pro version. Basic version works fine for my needs, which is a simple pop up window on top of other people's sales letters. This window can be resized and cannot be blocked by pop up software. Quick and easy. Takes about 30 seconds to learn.

I bought magic lists bot yesterday and got a chance to look at the whole package today and all I can say is - excellent!

I'm amazed at the quality of content for only $67 discount offer I got from Simon Hodgkinson. Comparatively, I paid the $497 for the crappy myclickbankbusiness. I would have gladly paid that price for magic lists because in their upsell they give 4 money making sites and products (exactly as myclickbankbusiness but with also a wordpress blog) for only $27.95 and you get one every month and it's quality stuff.

I was floored by just that one fact - if this is the value that I get for being a customer especially in comparison after the overpriced "turnkey business" crap I went through over the past month, then I'm a happy camper.

I have tested magic popup and magic list bot and both are easy to use and I'm a newbie. I haven't tested magic twitter list as I don't have a twitter account yet. I bought Matt Callen's Instant Popover recently and was disappointed that it didn't work with the newer version of internet explorers. So magic popup was a pleasant surprise in that aspect as the lightbox popup worked on the newer versions of internet explorers for me.

I think this is an excellent product for newbies and intermediate marketers, it will get you to start building your lists quickly and easily. But what I like a lot more is that you get the whole package in the front-end which means I don't get bombarded with upsells that basically says "buy the premium version for only $197 - the version you bought for $37 is useless"

It was nice information about magic list bot here. I received bunch of email from several Guru's explaining about this great software that can generate money an autopilot once you install it.

I watch the video inside the sales page and for my first review, i was amazed with what the creator did it. I have passion to buy but my experience teaches me not to be hurry in action since I used to buy one "autopilot money making software" that really sucks. It does not work and I have to install it manually and I claimed the refund after a week I bought the software.

Does anyone of you really make money with this software since the owner claimed you can make money once you install it..

Well, at least I am not the only one that does not understand this software ( that is, if there is anything to understand). Couldn't agree more with you l23bc. This program all it does is generate a Php file with a link to post in Twitter. It does this very nicely, very fast, saves you work but THAT'S THAT. That's all it does. Nothing about attracting leads, collecting leads or emails or any information from other sites or any of the things the hyped sale page says. The hard work to promote your product and attract leads to your pages still remains to be done.
This is the 100% objective truth (excuse the redundancy) about this product.
Yeah, I admit it, I was an idiot that fell prey of all those that add hype to the products. Excellent sale copy for this product. Can really catch anyone that does not know a lot about this kind of sofware.
And I am about to click the Refund button myself soon.

What the software does is pretty simple. It Iframes in another website (any one that you choose) and allows you to create a pop up for it so that you can collect an opt in to build your list.

So you can tweet out recommendations of good content and snag an opt-in for your own related content.

The issues seems to be that it was released way too early, without proper beta testing. I'm sure they will clean it up, but it may cost them a lot of refunds because of that.

It's a good lesson in the old joke about "letting your customers beta test your product"

My complaints about it so far are that it loses the ftp settings and also defaults to desktop when you have to save your file. It amazes me that people still use outdated scripts for saving files like that. The selling point is speed, and yet you have to do several extra steps to save your file every time. It should default to the last directory you chose.

The popups do work with the newer browsers, but mine don't size properly. They also show up off screen when I choose "right" for position (haven't tried "left" yet)

The bonus paypal one click upsell was a key for me, but it is stated to be a beta product on the download page, with no support. That wasn't in the sales letter. I'm OK with that for now if we will receive updates and support when it is done.

I think the product will be fine, but it is a good object lesson in launching a product. These simple things could have been easily cleared up before hand.

Hi Guys,

It is a fairly new concept it takes time to grasp the concept.

Plus, it's only been 2 days since launch...

We have a TON of updates and customer bonuses coming your way. We really take care to provide our customers value.

We are constantly updating the members area daily... (as you may have already seen) - just refresh your page.

Here are some updates we are working on:

1) Comprehensive Webinar teaching people how to get traffic to their links and how to build a list! --> added

2) Video series explaining the integration of the 3 software products together --> added

3) Traffic generation and affiliate marketing integration with MLB --> added

4) **Auto FTP feature - you will NOT need a webhost (we will host your PHP files) --> added
--> It is an optional feature, you can still upload files to your server if you want to.

5) Editing the pop-up to your liking (adding text) in the Twitter List Builder software. --> added

6) FTP details auto-save feature was added before launch... (thmark) I don't know where you got the version you have...Download again and install.

Rest assured, the software is working 100%...

Email support if you have questions. That way you can have your questions answered quicker. I hardly ever check PM's.

Talk Soon,
Paul Ponna

P.S. Hope to keep in touch with all of you through customer only webinars and the bonus video packages

Hi Paul,

What about your support, I need support like right now, but no support. The Magic Pop Up doesn't accept my FTP, and I can't upload my list code. My FTP site is working fine. I figure, I would list here because no response from support. Maybe some can respond here. There is a bug or something. I sent screen shots of what is going on. Can someone help me today?

Hi Everyone,

Sorry Nutrifitness, I will not start directly with Magic List Bot here, but with Auction Acrobat that gave me and thousands of people the chance to sell digital products on eBay.

The creator of Magic List Bot is the same Paul Ponna who created Auction Acrobat which is a brilliant solution for those who want to make business on eBay.

I can understand Paul, It is not easy to speak about yourself. But top marketers like Ewen Chia, Simon Hodgkinson, Jeremy Gislason, John Delevara, Schoeffel and many others, have written and strongly recommended MLB.

Coming back to Magic List Bot why not think this way: We all say "Money is in the list" Right? Do you know anyone on the net who makes significant amounts of money without an opt-in list? Me I don’t.

Instead of having your squeeze page on a website or two why not have it on every affiliate page you promote?

We all know that the majority of affiliates fail to make money because people need to see an offer for at least 5 times to make a sale. So, most likely affiliates waste their effort, time and money to send traffic to affiliate sites where people don’t buy from the first time.

But with Magic List Bot you can display your own squeeze popup page on the merchant site, so the traffic you send can be converted into your own subscribers, then you can follow with them later, using your autoresponder and even send them your other offers.

In a few words, Magic List Bot is a new concept that has targeted the pain of affiliate marketer. It gives a powerful and handy solution to build and grow an opt-in list from the same traffic that is already sent to affiliate sites.

Can someone please explain how Twitter List Magic achieves this....

"A massive viral component that will instantly send you thousands of Twitter followers in just a few days!"

Its obvious that the magic list bot + twitter list magic + magic popup, will only work if you have a massive list of Twitter followers.

But what if I have <b>absolutely no twitter followers</b> to begin with. Will this still work for me?

Hello everyone,
I usually read everyone’s posts so I can learn something on this form, and I do learn a lot from everyone who’s doing it.

But this time I’m going to complain about a product I bought on the recommendation from another marketer, I soon unsubscribed from his list.

The product is called Magic listbot, it sounded good on the sales page, it said how easy it was to build a list, so I bought it, if I could build a list then I’m going to get somewhere, and at £55.00 the price was good.

When I got the download page, an up sell page came up with it, saying how I could increase my list building if I bought this second product, I know I’m a fool for believing these sales pages, you know how it is when you’re in the zone, and hoping this product is going to help you.

I bought the second offer as well, but when I got my recites from clickbank I was annoyed with myself for not reading the entire sales page, because it was monthly subscription and not a one off payment as I thought.

The video instructions didn’t make any sense at all, to me it seemed to be thrown together in a rush, I’m not a tech guy, but I know how to work something out with the proper instructions.

I sent an email to the vendors to cancel my subscription and refund my £17.00, all I get is sales pages to more thrown together products.

I sent a request to clickbank for a refund for both products I bought from the vendor, hopefully in the next few days I’ll hear from them, and in the future I’ll be on my guard not to fall for this type of product and sales technique again

I bought this software a few days ago and after about an hour I gave up. I'm pretty good with computers but far from an expert. I just need some good step by step instructions and treat me like I'm a total newbie and don't know my way around a computer, tell me where I find all the information I need to fill in the blanks. I did go through the videos a few times but still got stuck and could not go any further.
If the software works as advertised I think it will be a tremendous asset to those of us just starting out in Network Marketing.
Please make some real "dummy" proof videos on how each of the 3 software work. Thank you.

Jerry,

Slow down... after playing it for 1-2 days, I find the software is quite "interesting" and if used in lieu with some other software, e.g. Twitter software to build your list first, then it will be a very powerful combination - hung on there. You indeed need to use the 3 pieces of software together in order to get the best value.

I think the software is missing something - a user guide and an integration interface which can pull the three pieces of software together.

Otherwise, it's a nice tool.

My 2 cents,
Roy

LRobbins,

The software developer assumes:
1) You have a website
2) You know a bit about uploading files to your server
3) You have an autoresponder
4) You have a twitter account
5) You know what you are doing

From my list above, the software is more targeted to intermediate marketer. If you are new new, you need some time to learn all this... At the beginning, it's not easy to understand, but I do find the software of use.

Thanks
Roy

Reading this thread it seems a 50/50 split.
Personally, I agree with Roy

I feel misled by the sales page, when it says "Legally and ethically steal subscribers from other peoples websites" and "you don't even need a website", what it actually means is "You must have a WebHosting account to upload a copy of someone elses webpage".
i think it's a legally "grey" area as you are breaking someones copywrite on their website. as to wether anyone would both to persue it is still to be seen.
The other issue that isn't addressed is how you get all these "miracle" subscribers to go to your copied website? Err yeah, you'll need an email list, or a twitter account, or a facebook page, or a blog, or something else to advertise your link!

As for the Twitter ap, so it's basically an auto follower, like many other ones out there.

Oh and if the current "3 product bundle" is for a limited time, how are people expected to use MLB without the Pop-up creator? Oh yeah you'll need to learn JavaScript, oh but hang on they say I don't need to know how to program

I'm not bashing, just giving my "review and observations"

"3 bundle" software is a sales tactic, I believe. I find the pop-up software is a must to include. If I just simply pull the code from Autoresponder (e.g. Aweber) the Magic List will not be working properly, according to the instruction. As for the twitter ap, it's a great addition. I immediately applied it on my site, and it's sort of very cool application.

I believe the salesletter was a bit hype, by that I mean you need to have at least some knowledge of online marketing - it's not totally newbie focused, as the instructional material assumes you have some understanding of how everything works (e.g. why someone's else pages are located on your websites and etc).

The function in magic list bot is quite powerful; I saw that feature was used in some other affiliate software. If you use that feature with PPC tactics, you may get banned by Google, however. I think Paul assumes you have some readers you can drive traffic to.

As said before, I believe the software has value for its price, just that more tutorial material is needed for less experienced marketer. I would give 8/10 (-2 for insufficient manual). Considering the price it is 10/10.

Its Magic!
Isn't that enough for you...?

"A wise man once said that any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic..."
- Arthur C. Clarke
"Profiles of the Future"

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Seriously, I'm trying the 3 day (way too short) trial, and I have learned a couple of neat tricks from the videos.
My main concern would be the following -
  • Although with Clickbank anything pretty much goes, I can easily see a giant like Amazon making it against their TOS after a few complaints.
  • Consumer burnout on yet another screen in their face.
  • The chance of losing buyers - particularly on high ticket items that also want an opt-in.
  • Does it have the type of control over your links that a (hosted service) like GoTryThis does? ($15 per month)
If there is an edge it will be gained by the early users, but in the end (imho) all purely technological approaches quickly are bypassed / surpassed.
e.g.- peelaway ads, talking heads, etc, etc...

Definitely not for people who aren't -
  • driving a fair amount of traffic already
  • or
  • who don't have converting offers
My 2 cents.

From what I read so far, it seems it's a similar software to Affiliate Hijacker. Except that, AH you can get for less...
