Is anyone here a member of Ryan Deiss' Total Access Club? I have heard a lot of great things about Ryan but I have not purchased any of his products in the past.
If you are a member, can you tell me what you like about the membership site? Also, is the material current and is Ryan active inside the site? In the video on the sales page Ryan talks about a faculty member named Perry. I'm assuming it is Perry Belcher. Is that correct? And if it is Perry Belcher, is he a big contributor to the site or does he just make an occasional appearance? What Ryan has put together looks very impressive. I'd love to hear more about it from someone who has experienced the Total Access Club. Thanks. Jon |

There are about 4 -6 main topics. I say 4 - 6 because it seems like at some of the topics may be under a different name but are mixed under another category.
In regards to updating the content & being current, maybe 1 or 2 topics are updated once per month. Within those two topics, it's like getting maybe 1 to 3 posts per topic. What does this mean? 1. The content gets updated by someone monthly. That's a good thing. The bad thing is that the updates don't span all the topics which would be beneficial if you are paying for these updates, you should be getting information in every category. 2. In regards to Perry being a big contributor, I have never seen a post or content that he contributed too. Hey may be talked about in a post in regards to a possible product that is being promoted however. In regards to the product, TotalAccessClub, the concept & the overall framework of the product is awesome. It's definitely a business model in regards to a learning content delivery platform that can be very useful to other business owners. What I mean by this is, for training purposes, the framework of the site is organized, very effective for any style or type of business, & can be implemented quickly. There are not many framework type sites out there offering products. I can honestly assess there are three models out there with specific organized frameworks in building membership sites that look good & are organized. |

Kkchoon -- Thanks for the information on 43 Split Test and the potential access to Ryan's site for 30 days. I appreciate it.
Darrin -- You stated that "the concept and overall framework of the site is organized, very effective for any style or type of business, & can be implemented quickly." Correct me if I am wrong, but it appears that you like the business model that Ryan has set up. But it also appears that you are not overly impressed with the "quality" of the content. Did I get that right or am I making an incorrect assumption? Thanks for the help. Jon |

That's exactly correct.
The framework of the site is one of 3 that works extremely well for an organized delivery model of a product or service. If you have a chance to see it, the concept is that use the framework as a template for any product, any niche, you want to deliver. It's easy, organized, & can be created in a way that will allow visitors/customers to konw what they are getting and be excited about coming back because of the structure. In regards to the content, in my opinion, it's not updated enough, and not always really clear. That's just my opinion though. Quote:

Ryan Deiss always has great content and his Total Access Club is no different. Perry Belcher is in some of the current content but he doesn't appear in any of the older content from what I can tell. So it would be hard to say how much contribution he will have to the site?
The site updates seem sporadic. Some months there are a lot of updates like 5-6 and some months have no updates. It's definitely not the "first of the month" every month type of thing. I didn't look in every category to check for sure but this is the overall feel of the site. There are 5-6 main categories. I liked the case studies and the TAC Reports the best. In the few that I checked they were thorough and complete. Ryan or someone who works for him does reply to some of the posts but that is the only interaction you have is through comments. It would be nice if there was a forum or someway to converse with other members. The content and layout of the site is easy to navigate. There are some tools included on the website like formatting keyword lists and duplicate list checking and other domain related tools like backlink checks and bad link verification stuff. Most of these can be found free on the net but it's nice having them all in one place. My 30-day trial is up and I think I will cancel. The updates were too sporadic for me and with no forum to communicate or ask questions of other members... well I just like a membership site that is more interactive. If you have $97 a month and don't mind having random updates (meaning some categories get updates and some don't) then you might give it a try and see if it's for you. |

Total Access Club is the BEST MEMBERSHIP SITE I EVER CAME ACROSS
The Content is outstanding, you get access to many training courses that you can easily pay hundreds for each, I'm biased to this because I didn't find such a good content anywhere else, also, the tools, the lab, the videos, it's great, no doubt |

I want to thank everyone for their input regarding Ryan's Total Access Club.
I am also taking a look at James Schramko's Super Fast Results private site. Both look like quality membership sites and both are priced in the $100 a month range. I know both James and Ryan have great reputations in the marketplace. It appears that we have some good, high-level coaching to pick from at a reasonable price. |

I appreciate the constructive feedback from you guys!
As for the question on updating, the TAC Report and "What's Working Now" interviews get updated every month. The Case Studies and Split-Test results get updated irregularly...sometimes none in one month...sometimes a couple in one month. (When we start a split-test there's no way to know how long it will take to get a result, and we don't want to post something that isn't statistically significant.) The Marketing Tools and Learning Center get updated on an as-needed basis to answer member questions asked in the "comments" areas. As for the question about a forum, I'm always hesitant to do that for two reasons: 1) Forums need A LOT of people to reach critical mass, because well over 90% of the folks who are registered never post...they only watch. With a paid membership site, there typically just isn't enough members to keep a forum going. Right now Total Access Club is all about CONTENT...not community. It's a strategy we may change in the future, but with so many free forums and community sites already serving this market, it seemed to me like it would make more sense to focus on premium content. 2) Forums often degenerate into gossiping and trash-talking, and without heavy, heavy moderation they can completely spin out of control on you. I want no part of negativity like this, which is why I rarely spend time on forums (and post even less frequently as you can see by my Post Total). It's a shame that this sort of thing happens in forums. I know I got a lot out of this and other forums when I was first getting started. -Ryan Deiss |
