Smart Member 2.0 affiliate program (Chris Record)

Hi Warriors,

Anyone else having issues with Smart Member 2.0 affiliate program? It was quite a popular launch a month ago and the product itself seems great.

We decided to jump on the band wagon and promote it with a high value service-based bonus.

The Smart Member 2 commissions are due to be paid in March after a 30 day hold but now they are saying Paypal place a 180 day hold on their account. Anyone else having issues with Smart Member 2.0 affiliate payments.

For that matter, I know Chris Record has quite a few flagship products like Dark Post Profits 1, 2, and the upcoming Dark Post Profits 3. Anyone else having issues there as well?

It seems surprising and suspicious to me that only 30 days later were their account limited and you'd think someone like Chris Record who would have to process a lot of payments would be able to resolve the matter with Paypal reasonably? - I know Paypal would typically be happy to talk and clarify their concerns for account limitation.

There's been no update yet from the Smart Member team. Thanks for any information you can provide Warriors.

    if the freeze came as the result of an unreasonably high chargeback rate from the customers, it could be very difficult for Chris Record or his team to submit acceptable arguments for why the freeze should be lifted.

    They could, of course, just make other arrangements for meeting their payment schedule to the sales force - but that presumes that they had built contingencies for this into their plan from the outset.

      Thanks for your reply. That's a good observation; I sure hope they would be able to resolve whatever issues with Paypal.

      Have you promoted their products before? Asking as this is the first time we're promoting a Chris Record product (promoted Smart Member 2 because the previous version was good and saw the value for the end user) so I can't attest to how reliable they are on their payments. Whether they would be willing to jump through some hoops to keep their commitments.

      Typically, if I've received payments from a program before, I'm willing to wait but as this is the first payout, it causes me to question a little.
