Is LongTailPro Platinum worth it in 2016?

Without dropping any affiliate links, do you believe LTP is still worth it?

I see now that LTP accepts one-time payments which I like better. Just wondering what you think of this tool. I've been using Google's keyword planner for the last 1.5 years and it does its job.

    I'm a long tail pro user and still find it very effective today. Will continue to stick with it.

      Thanks for pointing that out Steve.

      I've just been testing it and haven't found it very effective. Although it's faster than Market Samurai it seems to take forever to load up results. Although LTP uses Adwords to get results, Google's Planner tool loads keywords in seconds.

    I use it occasionally not because it doesn't work but because nothing beats my own searching and research.

    I advise anyone new to IM not to get too caught up with tools if you haven't spent 100's of hours doing your own searching and research first.

    Of course everyone wants fast and easy when in reality, fast and easy is an exception, not the rule when it comes to IM.

    If I don't have time to search a niche the way I usually do, I'll use LTP to check out the competition for me.

    At a glance, you can see the top 10 listings including their strength for your keyword and decide if you want to give the niche a try or not.

    Anytime I do a local SEO quote, I make a 5 minute screen video and I'll use LTP's metrics to help close the sale.

    If I'm stuck for keywords, I'll use LTP and see if I missed anything or find another modifier I didn't think of etc...

      Interesting. A lot of people seem to like the tool but I feel like it is more of a shiny object than anything else. Google Keyword Planner + MozBar seems to be a lot faster to find quality keywords.
