Support for Fantasos and Delavo

I found another thread on a similar issue, but it didn't answer what happened to the support for these products.

I purchased JVManager back in 2006 and followed it through all the upgrades to Fantasos and finally Delavo. Somewhere along the line I lost track of what happened to it after it was sold. Now I'm stuck with Fantasos for my products and Delavo for products that I manage for a client. Over the weekend my hosting company upgraded to new servers. Now we can't get either of these products to work and I can't make sales. I had them move it back to the old server, but that server is going away on Friday.

HELP! Does anyone know where support is for these products? As with the other poster, the Help Desk we can access is no help at all!

I don't think John Delavera is supporting these two software products any more. The problem is that PHP and MySQL have made changes in their new versions. Your host will upgrade to the newest versions.

Both softwares need to be rewritten to work with the newest versions of PHP and MySQL.

You can try to contact John to see where he stands on these two products.

I believe you are stuck and will need to find other software to replace the ones you are using now.

    I hope this is helpful,

    • Thanks! I've been stuck with this software ever since John sold it and then... nothing! I just can't believe he would abandon all the customers he had. I not only support my own products with it, but a few clients, too.

I will take over a month to convert all my products, order pages, links, etc.!

Latest info on this is looking like 2009.

        We are in 2016 now.

Not sure what you paid initially, but you should have got your $ worth.

        • Yes, but when you have many products, clients, and order pages/links to change, this is a huge issue. Could take me a month or more to get everything changed.

I'm hoping to hear from people who had this issue and what they did. I see some sites still using it, so I'm assuming their servers are not as current as mine. This is really a time suck when you're trying to run your business.

This is the biggest complaint I have about IM.
Unless you use software products from large
companies, support and updates end. Of
Course the large company stuff costs more,
but in the end it's probably better and cheaper.

It feels like most IMers are in it for the money.
Most of the time the site you bought it from is gone in
less than a year no matter what you buy.
