Jacking Around because of Paypal #7810

So today Paypal changed the way their shipping page works. I love it, APRILS FOOLS, WERE SCREWING WITH YOUR BUSINESS.

My custom tool to automatically pay for shipping and printing labels is now broken.

Ok so.

#1 I can not use the shipping interface in any way without first entering an address I want to ship to. I can't do anything else except enter an address. I can't check out shipping options, nothing, I must enter an address first.

#2 I see the "Switch to Classic View" link so I click it. This circle jerks me around back to the exact same page I started at and I have to re-enter an address.

#3 So I go to complain, there's no way to complain or interact with them about this issue.

I can not stand PayPal, that company has completely incompetent developers, software engineers, and customer service.

How does a company roll out something like this with completely broken functionality?

Did you make any changes to your browser recently (disabling cookies, Flash, etc.)? That can mess things up.

Can you use the form after you enter an address?

Also, Paypal's phone number is online, or at least it used to be. I found it using Google before when I needed to contact them.

Just when you think you've got it all figured out, someone changes the rules.

The new form works fine, but I have to type the stuff in (I actually cut/pasted) instead of pressing "Print Labels" in my tool. Hopefully they get this resolved before I get blasted with 50 orders on Monday.

You've never called Paypal about a tech problem have you... (chuckle)

From experience, you're better off waiting a few days for Google to catch up. I'm sure there's 100 people complaining in forums elsewhere, hopefully somebody will post a solution online after they sit on hold for 16 hours and do things like reboot their computer.

I had a different problem before, the tech support guy told me to wait 7 minutes and that if I had a problem to call back.

I waited 7 minutes, feeling like a complete idiot. Tried it again, nope.

They trolled me just to get me off the call. A week later paypal fixed it.
