Opinions on Jon Morrow's Guest Posting Course

And yeah, because I'm an idiot who can't read, I didn't notice the "don't post here until you have 20 posts in other forums" rule. Now that I have moved up in the world and have more than 20 posts, I shall ask again

So, my question is about Jon Morrow's guest posting course. I love Jon Morrow. I think he's awesome and inspirational and I read his blog all the time. His story of overcoming adversity and one of the crappiest hands life can deal you helped me to get into gear and deal with a rough period in my life. Basically, it was a case of: if someone with so many obstacles can overcome so much, then I better get my ass out of the pity party it's been engaging in.

However, while I do appreciate everything he does, at the same time there are certain things I don't like. One of those is the way he markets his webinars. I have no problem with people selling their stuff on their webinars, but I do have a problem when people advertise their webinars as offering one thing, aka lots of information, and then that webinar turns into one massive infomercial and basically doesn't deliver on its promise.

So, I'd really like to know if the guest posting course delivers on its promise. It's not exactly cheap and I don't want to shell out $500 - $600 to only discover that the course is another long infomercial for other things I absolutely have to buy or will not succeed.

If anyone has been through the course, I'd really like to hear impressions and whether you achieved the promised results.

I'd also like to know about other, similar courses, so even if you haven't done Jon Morrow's one but can recommend something similar you've had a good experience with, I'd be extremely grateful.

I follow Jon, but confess have not taken any of his courses. He says, that he demands your attention in his courses, which I understand to mean you're going to have to do some work. He has proactively refunded course fees to people who have thought that they were only going to be spoon fed.

I took the course, and it is more than worth the cost. Besides, if for any reason you don't like it and wants a refund, I'm sure Jon Morrow and his staff will gladly do it. But it may not be necessary because Jon Morrow is a fair minded marketer unlike other sleazy snake oil salesmen in this industry.

Thank you Gary. The refunding part sounds like it is legit. I don’t mind working. I look forward to it in fact. I prefer to be taught to fish than to be handed a fish so it sounds like it’s right up my alley. Plus, I have this annoying habit of always questioning why something works, rather than accepting that it does at face value, so definitely not the type to be handed a fish and say thank you, can I have some more, please LOL.

Nicholas, thank you very much for your input. I’m feeling better and better about taking Jon’s course now. Maybe I’ve become too cynical, suspecting that everyone under the sun has an agenda that is completely selfish.
