ReVamp-ME | What's Your Opinion?

Hey, everyone.

I'm an internet marketer. I work with video and I love it. I settled on ranking local businesses as my specialty after years of trying to make it with other forms of MMO.

But...

I'm one of those people (probably like you) who loves the "shiny object". Even though I don't need or use 80% of what I buy. I'm particularly interested in any video product that comes along.

I justify this in my mind by thinking, "I need to keep up with the latest in video technology because I do video marketing for a living!".

Right?

But this morning, just for the time it takes to write this post, I'm slipping back into reality.

This morning I woke up to the latest launch for a product called REVAMPLY. It's awesome! I'm definitely going to buy it (even though it has little to do with video) but now I have another problem.

This morning I opened up my email to 35 (and counting) emails from different IM'ers wanting me to buy through THEM.

Each of them promise they have the BEST bonuses (more stuff to sit on my hard drive).

WTF!!

Now I could take a couple of hours to sift through each one but I'm wasting enough time just writing this post.

So, my question is, how do I decide QUICKLY, which link to go through?

OR

Should I be buying at all?

OR

How do you cure the "shiny object syndrome"?

Your opinions are welcome!

I would suggest you not buy anything until you "fix" your appetite for shiney objects.

Think about all the past WSOs that you've purchased. How many of them have you "gone all in" with? How many have directly increased your bottom line as a marketer? How many do you use today and on a regular basis?

You see, unless buying a new product is going to directly increase your income, then what you are spending your money on is nothing more than a distraction or sidetrack to helping you in your business.

Focus on the tools that really matter. Focus in selling instead of buying.

I have been in this game a long time and I have never seen a marketer that was successful because of the gadgets and tools he purchased. The people that I know that are "killing it" online never give in to SOS and don't waste their precious time chasing offers that "could" be the next big thing on the horizon.

Revamply seems an excellent software but, yesterday, after buying, I read on the internet a serious problem that need you to clarify.
I read that the service is somewhat similar to the expiration. When I read that, I review I made 2 payments:
-First payment. It is a single payment for lifetime use
-Second payment. It is a recurring payment for the PRO version, but ONLY for 10 years maximum!
Seeing the second payment I understand that 10 something will happen. As I read, it may take 2 things:
      1. That the service stops working or abandoned (I lose all websites arrange with Revamply)
      2. That the service continue but to renew the price double or triple (This has happened with some services: first for a while, are reasonably priced, but then, multiply its price, when you already have many websites created after 10 years, because if you drop the product lose everything)
This is a great danger and a bad investment for those who want to use Revamply and the author should clarify this, because something is very clear:
Payment of the PRO version is recurrent, ONLY for 10 years (it is now, the maximum guarantee of continuous operation)
I think there should be a lifetime PRO version only accessible for those who already paid the regular version PRO, perhaps, with a new offer of $ 400 or $ 500 that allows the use PRO lifetime. This is a suggestion for serious marketers, showing more seriousness in a product like Revamply
      conclusions:
Today, Revamply it not designed for use over 10 years
'There is an offer (much more expensive) for a lifetime PRO version, even after paying the PRO version which expires after 10 years
No has guarantees that websites created with Revamply work after the PRO version expires, also, if they work, will be very limited (only 25,000 visits in total and 500 sites in total)

As a registered user, I am very concerned about this, because I do not want a service with an initial investment of $ 400 expires or has no guarantee of continuity. We must continue figuring out .. but if no lifetime warranty, the PRO version is dangerous and ask for the return of my money
This is now the 4th time you've copied and pasted the same message on a thread to do with Revamply and the 4th time I am responding with the exact same copy paste message.

Hey you bring up a very good point. I'm involved with this launch - I can tell you now the reason that it says 10 years.

      There are two reasons why:

#1: Paypal will ban our account if we said "LIFETIME" or made any guarantees that this software will be around for your lifetime

#2: JVzoo prevents us for extending the monthly payments more than 10 years.

Thats the reason for the lack of clarity on the salespage - we can't make guarantees like that because paypal comes in and bans people that do.

What I can guarantee is that we have a solution to this - what will happen if your account expires at the end of the time you're using the software is you'll get a notification that will popup inside of your account asking you to signup again. It's a long time in the future but ofcourse you wont be booted out or anything like that - it wouldn't make sense for us to do that. The price you got the software for this week will remain the same - it wont change at all (assuming we still have currency obviously) but people will not pay more than they are already paying - they are our founding members and we will make sure that everyone who gets in is well protected.

      Hope this now makes sense

Again it is likely that Warrior Forum will ban you for spam and harassment if this continues. If you are going to post again it needs to be unique not a copy paste message you're posting on any thread you can find that mentions Revamply.

Some I didn't figured is IMO a very important point.

You publish the Revamply sites inside the App...then what??

Client has to iframe the new site or what? Is that in HTML, or can that be uploaded to a WP site or how the heck the new designed site will go to my or any clients domain.

I see this as an important point due to SEO issues in case it would be an iframe.

    Many thanks to clarify

Yup. That's the magic question here. Can't believe it wasn't covered in the sales page.

Ok, so after poking around for a couple of days or so, here are some of my thoughts, in no certain order.

    1) Training is limited, IMO, with only 2 main videos. You do get a walk through and general overview, etc, but I would think that a software like this should have quite a bit more available training. Case in point, how to use the WP plugin. Info was actually missing from the app page and I found very little in the videos about it. I put a ticket in and did get good response time. They said they fixed the issue I just mentioned.

    2) I loaded 3 sites and ran into the same problem with 2 of them. These 2 sites are not my sites. The issue is that when I loaded the page into the editor, it loaded the site's popup. In 1 occasion, after much fooling around, I was able to get the page to load in the editor, but not with the 2nd site, which is really the one I wanted. I put a ticket in, was told they fixed it for me, but the issue is still there. The site won't load in the editor, only the site pop up. This basic issue perplexed me. I would have thought this would be an issue solved in the 14 months of development.

    3) This is the BIGGEST issue for me... I was REALLY interested in what I thought was the ability to use someone else's site, make changes to it and use it as my own (based off the sales material). But, to my dismay, I have NOT figured out how this is actually supposed to work. I thought I could do this and use the page on my WP site. Nope... Not based on what their support says. They said the WP plugin is only for editing pages ALREADY on my WP site. They said Revamply is not for creating templates. I guess I could download the html file, but... umm... This isn't going to work for any of my site needs.

Perhaps I am missing something with the tool. I developed software for 16 years, I've been a project manager and trainer, and I've run my own business full time for almost 6 years (not to mention that I started marketing online in 1999), so I am fairly quick at learning, etc, but I am NOT infallible.

If this tool will not allow me to, for example, load a site's home page, make changes to it and then use it as the framework for my WP site then I don't think I will keep Revamply. I suppose even if I could edit a page and use that specific page as like the hope page of a WP site then I might want to keep it, but it is VERY expensive for this.

    4) BTW, in one example I saw with using this on one's own site, was changing a page on an ecom site. OK so let's say I do have my own ecom site and make a change to the structure of a page that, but that structure is ALSO shared by all the other pages of my ecom site, how is that structural change propagated to the other site pages? Food for thought...

    5) I will say this, the editor is kick butt! I don't know if there is a way to lock objects to a grid, but you really have the most flexibility I've seen in a page editor. The editor seems very easy to use, from what I've done so far, and it's pretty fast. I also like the user interface. It also has a decent # of features.

All in all, I feel let down by this tool. I'm confused. I wanted to replace my ClickFunnels with something that was as powerful and feature packed (or close to it) because CF is way too expensive for me. I'm paying $97 per month right now, and that's got to stop soon. And I like the idea of NOT being tied to Wordpress, so I thought Revamply was gonna give me that lift. So far, it hasn't. Again, maybe I am just confused and someone needs to straighten me out.
