    Hello, I too have been looking further into WhatsApp and the benefits of using it in my business.

    It seems WhatsApp is another effective communication tool that may get better responses from customers than a direct phone call. Everybody is a little time poor, and nobody likes getting a phone call from an unknown number. Therefore, I am thinking I may get a better response and more engagement from sending a personal message on WhatsApp. I do like that WhatApp is a little informal so it may give the customer a chance to send a quick response back when they would not have time to send a formal email.

    In regards to marketing with WhatsApp, I don't see why not. You can use WhatsApp to send images, audio files, short video clips of your product or service and text message to users across the world. It seems that, unlike SMS or Email, there are fewer restrictions on the format and delivery chances are higher.

    I am thinking you can use WhatsApp for your business in various ways, and it is cost effective and easy to use. At the moment I use it to commuicate with a client in China, as there are a few restrictions and he doesn't get great access to other instant messaging platforms.

      Lots of people in my country are using this already. However, they usually created a Whatsapp group to support their existing customers. And then keep selling in there again and again. However, keep in mind that if you sell to the wrong people, in other words, spamming, whatsapp will block your number.

    How do you intend to get their details to do any marketing?

    Agree with Azlan.MY to be careful not considered a spammer if not got their permission when contacting WhatsApp users

      I created a whatsapp group , for a few friends , and to my surprise it's been growing. There's requests for me to add friend of friends.
      I had suggested a forum to this particular group of friends a long time ago, but couldn't get anyone to join.
      Whatsapp did all the work for me in terms of building a list.

    This looks interesting.. but one thing to note is that whatsapp is a highly personalized platform even more so than the email Inbox and honestly don't think anyone would enjoy gettting cold messages via whatsapp this would be almost as annoying as getting cold calls.

    I don't think so that whatsapp is as effective platform as you think... Other platforms are best for marketing...

    Whatsapp is really good idea to promote business only if you have creative ideas and marketing skills then only you can success but it's not that so easy.
