Hi Warriors, until recently I used pinurl.com whenever I wanted to shorten a long affiliate url. I used this service because I found it far superior to the other popular service providors. Today I went to login to pinurl and received a message "Site Shut Down". Obviously I can't use it anymore. My question: Can anybody please advise me which are the best remaining url shortening services available online? All comments and advice is greatly appreciated. Cheers Davmac40 |

I use bit.ly, a simple url shortener which you can track the clicks with, use unique names for the shortened urls, like bit.ly/anynamewilldo and you can twitter the links. I used one recently, that also allowed you to create multiple links for website urls. I had an example I used for all of the sites I have and individual pages, must find that link for you. When I twitter I use a Firefox addon called "Twitzer" it allows me to write way more than 140 characters and creates shorted url which leads readers to a page with all of the text, however long. The page does have Adsense on it. Hope this helps? Brian Google for shorten urls and found this list (I can't vouch for all of these as I've not used the majority of them): Quote:

I think that you want to be able to control the links yourself. There are scripts that you can install on your own website space and get: shortening of url's cloaking of url's and counting of the hits each link gets And you can do it all within your own domain. search Google for Link Tracker - you may even find a free one.
