Need advice. Hired website builder

From Warrior Forum. Since we can't bash anyone I won't mention names. But I gave the company $1,050 to build two websites in February. They have not been completed (one wasn't even started yet!). He keeps telling me that he has personal problems. He gave assignment to someone else who ALSO ignored my projects. The last I heard from him was Aug. 22 when he promised to complete my projects. I haven't heard a peep from him. All I have are his emails - no phone or address. What can I do? I'm losing out on revenue, too!

    Did you use PayPal or something else that you could fall back on to file a report with?
    That is a poop load of cash to shell out for a website.
    I hope after almost 8 months you get this situation rectified.

    Did you buy because of an ad they placed here? If so, you can post your experience on the thread. If you do, do it rationally not emotionally. State facts not accusations.

    If you paid via PayPal you can TRY opening a dispute. Normally they're on the side of the customer, especially in this case. But it's been so long they might not be able to help.

    The only other thing I can suggest is perhaps give Wordpress a go, use something like Thrive Themes or Profit Builder, do it, and then once you've done it and documented it, hire someone from UpWork, as UpWork takes that seriously, and show them how you want the process done..
