Best hosting in 2017?

by Joshua McCoy 49 replies
Hello warrior forum members,

I know that there is older info on this, but as we all know, things in this industry change quickly, and I want to be sure to choose the best hosting for a new website I'm planning on building.

As the title of this thread states, I'm looking for an opinion on what hosting company would be best (or at least a very solid choice) for hosting here in 2017. Please reply if you currently have hosting with stated company, and have had a good experience with them. I figure as most of you will have at least a website or two in this forum, and that there would likely be some opinions on the subject.

I might get a re-seller plan, or I might just go "cheap" and go shared hosting in the beginning just to save money, as I am not expecting much traffic for this website for now. I'm not planning on building a ton of websites quite yet, maybe just 1 to 3 sites is about it at most for now. My main goals are a host with close to 100% up-time, and fast loading speeds for my website (and inexpensive). I'll be using WordPress to build my website.

Thanks in advance for your replies, and take care.

You can go with Dreamhost for best WordPress hosting. Their servers are of high quality and give you 100% network uptime. You should definitely try them out.

For shared hosting, I use and recommend MDD Hosting. Don't let the silly countdown timer on their home page fool you. They provide great service, at a reasonable price, and I've never had any problems with them. I feel they are able to provide faster and more personal attention than the hosting giants. They also have Lets Encrypt for free SSL certificates, among other features.

You might also look around over at Web Hosting Talk - The largest, most influential web hosting community on the Internet .

For VPS and dedicated, when you're ready, Liquidweb.

    Nothing beats amazon IMO

I have run my own PPL offers and switching to Amazon I have seen as much as a 10% increase in conversion.

However, for no critical stuff, I don't think it really matters much.

I have been with Host Gator for quite a few years and it has been mostly good over this time...once or twice a year I would get a day or two down time, and that is with my dedicated server with them (provo)

It has been over a year since I had any significant downtime at all, so based upon that I think they have been upping their game some and now recommend them sincerely.

[I will suggest E-Hosts and Liquid Web.

That is what i discovered last year upon doing a Google search for best web hosting.

I used to be a fan of Hostgator until they outsourced their web security to 3rd party company SiteLock in Oct 2005.

This resulted in most of my sites being hacked by Russian violators and I have to rebuild everything with the new web host.

Though I heard of WP Backup, I began to start learning the hard way in terms of its importance.

Even though they are all part of the same company. I was a very loyal Hostgator customer for a long time, but they jacked up their prices to a point it didn't make any sense to stay with them any longer.

I moved straight over to Bluehost in 2013 and have yet to have a single issue. I pre-pay 36 months in advance - that way I get the best deal and also don't have to worry about my hosting bills for 3 years.

I used to have liquidweb, totally was awesome. Nothing ever crashed and they have superior customer service. They just also have the price that shows why they deliver such quality. You can always avoid hosting and do click funnels or something, but also very expensive for a great quality product

Everyone believes the hosting they use is the best - not surprising.

    was overblown
Maybe not at first but it is overblown now. I think it's been written so much that people now automatically cite it. Let's face it - a company investing large amounts of money to buy some of the best hosting companies...doesn't plan on putting itself out of business by ruining the companies. A transition in owner/management of a large company isn't often seamless but I do think the "EIG monster" is overstated these days. Others may disagree.

There are many good hosts - choosing any one of the leading companies should be fine. I've used many of the ones mentioned - the one I've stuck for years is HG. The costs for my reseller accts haven't gone up at all in years so not sure where the price increases were. If you are planning one site for now - you don't need a reseller acct.

If you are new to using web hosting - I'd suggest HG or similar company that has extensive "how to" tutorials and videos.

Avoid EIG owned companies. Their awful service is not overblown, especially if you use VPS hosting which they seem to especially suck at.

My favorites are Stable Host, Geek Storage, and Hawk Host. Digital Ocean is good too, but you have to know how to setup and manage your own server.

Web hosting is really important for the bloggers and websites owners because the performance of your site largely depends on the quality of web hosting.
You have a lot of options. You must select the best one that reliable, secure, trustworthy, reasonable price, different web host plans, enough money back guarantee, uptime guarantee, and excellent customer service.
In this case, you can select the below options. These web hosts have already proved its quality.

The performance of your site largely depends on your web hosting providers. So you should get the best one that is the top performance.
You have many options so it is really a big challenge for your finding the most powerful web host.
Here the price is a big issue. At the beginning, most of the bloggers or websites owners try to get the cheap host.
But it is true that you want to spend more if you want to get the best one.
In this situation, there are some world-class hosting services that
