What's best Webhosting company in UK for IM

Hi all,

I want to know what UK IMers are using to host websites, blogs and conduct ecommerce. I want to change from my current hosting company which is pants to something that accepts Word Press, cPanel .htaccess and other good things that you need for IMing

As far as hosting goes, there are none in the UK as far as I am aware that are as good as hostgator, both for price and features.

You can't go wrong with Reseller Hosting - Business Hosting - Joomla Hosting | Rochen Host. They have servers in the US as well as London. I have known Chris for many years and he runs an excellent business. We both started out in the hosting business about the same time on a shared dedicated server.

Depends on what you are looking for. If you are a fairly sizey operation none can beat the server deals that 1&1 do. That's including american companies. Every server comes with 100mbit connection and unlimited traffic + plesk license + dedicated SSL etc..

I've been using Fasthosts for about 3 years. I have a couple of dedicated servers from them. Good prices and excellent support

Hosting your sites on a Linux VPS would give you full root control and enable you to do whatever it is that you need to do for your sites.

I used EvoHosting and while I id they were superb. A great interface and the Customer Support was incredibile. They were getting back to me in 10-20mins which I think is superb.

Don't no bout the rest of youse though :-)

Well I've only ever used HostGator, They are awesome.
Any problem that I have ever had gets sorted through the live chat.
I have had no reason to change over to someone else as they are so good!

I use hostgator. Having had bad experiences with 4 other hosts it's a relief to find my sites online every day and if I want some help a quick response from Hostgator support.
