Has anyone tried John Carlton's Simple Writing System?

The launch starts in a few hours and John has been posting some excellent interviews although not so IM guru heavy this time.

There are various fast mover bonuses and I have the Copywriting Sweatshop DVDs 1 & 2.

The first is amazing to see John take apart his students copy and to put it back in a much more compelling way.

Does anyone know how much this is going to cost? Or how was it priced during the first launch?

I have it and I love it.

John Carlton is an excellent Copywriter and incredibly passionate about teaching the craft.

I purchased SWS the last time it was around and I should have gotten the homestudy version instead.

The coaching was FANTASTIC. But I had underestimated the time I would have to make use of it. Very bad idea.

I also had trouble because I was unexcited about the business idea I was writing about. I had to really push myself to complete the assignments because it was one I'd picked with a small and tenuous connection and wasn't really sure I wanted to build a business around it.

If you already have a business or a product that you are working on and will benefit from a long-form sales letter then go for it, even if it's a services business like copywriting. The feedback you're going to get will be phenomenal and step by step. Because the teachers are being paid for their time they are able to put more time and effort then you usually get from a free forum.

I wish I hadn't gotten the course because of my own personal circumstances, but that in no way reflects on the high quality of the material and the interaction that becomes available to you. I would have been better off if I'd bought it now, since I'm working on starting a business and actually know what it IS this time.

The entire purchase process went very smoothly, by the way. And I agree that they delivered exactly what they promised.
