I haven't any real issues with them other than their UNfriendly user panel. I have a hard time finding what I want, then we have to select something else from another window, then do this, etc. Never obvious mind you. I hate it to the point that I'm considering changing for sure. Automatic renewals for stuff I didn't even know I had... Now I'm finally at the point where I can use their panel really well but still... Their customer support has been top notch though. |

I switched to Namecheap after the recommendations on here. What I hate the most about Godaddy is their shady practiceses on trying to get an upsell by doing everything in their power to make you click the 'wrong' button or automatically adding stuff that you need to remove. Their site is slow as hell as well and the checkout process is horrible. Namecheap has free privacy and easy nameserver update. Much better imo. |

While I have not has any problems with GoDaddy up until last Wednesday. I had / have a couple sites hosted with them but due to their ridiculous prices for adding e-mail accounts I decided to move my sites to NetworkRedux (who in past 4 days have provided me with awesome customer support). To get my one site downloaded off GoDaddy via FTP has taken me from the morning of Wednesday Nov. 11 till late last night. 3 fricking days to download 70 MB. They completely throttled my FTP account. Plus when I went to enter my new dns information I had nothing but trouble. I am not happy with them at all! After reading this thread I am convinced I should move my domains as well. Ben |

I use namecheap now and for the last two years. No problems so far. I still have one domain with goddaddy because they have made it such a PITA to transfer for me but I will eventually.

Well after reading this thread earlier today I have started the process to transfer my domains to namecheap. Hopefully it will not be too much of a battle with GoDaddy. In any case I will follow through with the domain name transfer as after doing a google search I found numerous reports of godaddy suspending all of a persons domains under their account for a wrongful report of spam. | If you are planning long term then rackspace is the way to go. Yes, it will cost more, but having a personal assistants to call and take care of issues fast is a must! Good Luck, Tom |

Virtually anyone is better than GoDaddy. I make it a point to tell people to stay away from them. That's how bad they are.

Ive been with godaddy for awhile and Ive had several problems with them. The only reason I haven't switched is because I didnt want to go through the hassle. I started to move to hostgator once. But apparently if they dont like your domain names then they'll cancel your account. I was pretty mad. And it was just a forex site too haha. So if you move to hostgator.. beware. They can cancel your account at any time.. |

Godaddy's interface is like a bad cartoon crossed with a bad acid trip. And I've read so many horror stories about domains getting suspended for either very bizarre reasons or no reason at all (don't know if the stories are true.) Anyway, Namecheap.com is who I use and they've been good to me so far. |
