SEO PowerSuite vs. iBusiness Promoter (IBP)

Anybody have an experience of using both: SEO PowerSuite and iBusiness Promoter (IBP)?
Price wise they are close:
SEO PowerSuite Enterprise=$599 / IBP Business=$499.
SEO PowerSuite Professional=$249 / IBP Standard=$249.

Could you compare SEO PowerSuite vs. iBusiness Promoter (IBP):
Which one is easier to learn/to use?
Which one is more powerful/useful?

Or maybe there is a better solution for SEO?

I am looking for a review too. But I found that the live updates of ibp are cheaper than SEO PS.

Well Ive been playing with powersuite as its written in Java and therefore runs on my Mac. I used an old version of IBP, V8 I think it was some years ago and I was very impressed, but that was when getting hundreds of directory links was simple and actually effective in increasing SERP, there seems to be alot of theory around the fact that directory submissions now have little effect, I dont know to be honest. What I do know is that I optimsed one site in a niche using IBP over 3 years ago, I post the odd comment on the blog every couple of months and it still ranks #3 in the organics and has for over 2 years.

IBP offers a first page guarantee, so buy it, use it and if it doesnt deliver get your money back. Personally I dont like the interface now, much prefer the older versions.

Powersuite was ok but I didnt think it was as good as IBP, I actually recently bought market samurai as I need PPC and an organic seo tool.

MS has a pretty good rank checker module, sad thing being you cannot export the reports.

I am leaning towards the IBP. Cost of live update of Link Assistant comes to 560$ for a year. Thats freaking insane.

Since IBP is offering a top 10 guarantee why not check it out and get a refund if it doesn't work?

SEO POWER SUITE might also be good since they are ranked number one on Google for "seo software". Not sure if that means anything though.

Thanks for the advice here about IBP, think I will buy it and ask for a refund if it doesn't work. Any further experiences of others appreciated and I will post again when I have found out more.

Of the 2 I would go with IBP for the simple fact that SEO Power Suite's marketing tactics are extremely shady. IBP, as well as Market Samurai are good guys.

Wish I had seen this one before I had purchased SEO Spyglass (easy to find why I did not see this - I had purchased this software much before Brad posted this).

Now that I realize how shady these guys are, I have one - just one - suggestion.

If you are evaluating on whether to buy this one - don't walk - simply RUN away from it. These guys are outright shady to the point of dishonest.

Source: My own experience - I completed my 6 months of usage of SEO Spyglass yesterday and then "hell broke loose" when it stopped working. And I wish I had found this post as well as this lens earlier. In addition, read this - pretty much describes my own experience and I don't own any of the sources I mentioned. These are purely third-party reviews as far as I am concerned, but true ones.

Right now the seo power suite is on sale for 149 for i think and the super duper express pro whatever version that is usually six hundrede is 249.00. dan richardson, who wrote the link.com part of the suite has written a free book about seo practice that is very interesting, he has little tests to see how well you do and a certificate, not available yet, if you do all the work. and the free part seo seagull or something like that works quite well for me, it was very interesting i wish i could find it again. when i am surfing i right click on a page and this program pops up seo something, for some reason it does not pop up in wf.

if seo power suite is a shady run outfit they sure talk a good game. The free software was powerful and if the paid program does half of what it says it does, they will be a hard program to beat. But the single items are not enough, they try to push their stand alones but they need all four legs to be iimpressive.

I have been taking their free program and learning lots. but i would be interested in this bp program? sorry i am my little computer and cant scroll up to see the other messages easily so have to use my short term memory, and that sucks.
