Membership site Clickbank or Rapid Action Profits Member Plus

I am in the process of setting up a membership site and am looking for an alternative to Clickbank.

I want to do a $1 trail for a week then full price, and have an affiliate program.

so far i have seen Rapid Action Profits Member Plus , is this any good, any other services i could use, 1 shopping cart ??

any help would be appreciated.

I'm now contemplating RAP for my product currently in preluanch, due to the trial, I'd be interested in knowing more about the plugin member plus

I've been a 1shoppingcart.com user for 5 years. But I'm moving everything - oncluding my lists - out of 1shoppingcart.com because they've made some changes lately that, while they look good, really hamper the way I do business.

Plus, they just started charging $35 / month for unlimited support. They're support was great. But when they charge to help people use the product, that shows an unfortunate disrespect their customers.

Sid Hale (developer of RAP) is the epitome of dedicated customer support. And he's also set the bar for software documentation. A monkey can install RAP if he follow Sid's instructions

No offense to monkies...(At least, I didn't say so easy a caveman could do it...)

Darren, the PayPal add on that comes with the members add on will do trial, installment and recurring billing. Pretty much covers all the payment schemes.

As for the Member Plus add-on, it comes with the Paypal subscription
add-on which is where the trial functionality (with Paypal) comes into

I'm another RAP owner. I'm also, when it comes to scripts, PHP and the like, extremely inept. I make monkeys—and cavemen—appear skilled.

Fortunately for me and others with the same lack of skill I evidence Sid does provide fantastic service. Part of that service is a content filled and responsive continual Skype chat operated by Sid and Richard Wing.

John Burnette (globalpro)and ECS Dave, along with several other expert "rappers" appear frequently and are always willing to answer questions.

Hey Sarah,
A lot of times the customer will contact the affiliate when a refund is needed, since thats who the paypal payment went to.

however when that doesn't happen, a quick e-mail to the affiliate usually does the trick. I've been using RAP on several sites for over a year now and have yet to have a problem with a customer not getting a refund or with an affiliate giving me any trouble about it.

Also, there is a plug-in for RAP called the "mass pay" plug in that lets you take all the payments yourself and then pay out your affiliates once a month. It does it all automatically.
I don't use it but if I was selling a product that had a lot of affiliate sales and a high refund percentage I'd probably consider it.

There are numerous plugins for RAP now, including a just announced one for Kunaki.

One more thing: RAP and the various addons are one-time expenses. You don't have a monthly expense, and you can use them on all the domains that you own.

Hi Sarah,

I am also using RAP! I just fall in love with it every time I use it!

Anyway, back to your question. Yes, usually, affiliates will have to give the refund whenever the customer ask for it! If not, an email to that affiliate will do the trick! For me, I had not have any incident to which affiliates not issue the refund if asked!

And after affiliate issued the refund, RAP will automatically recalculate the payout again!

No Sarah,

Instead of paying 50% of each sale to the affiliate, RAP alternates payments between the affiliate's Paypal account and your own. If you pay 75%, the affiliate will be paid for 3 of every 4 sales he brings to your site.

The big draw is that for affiliates, they get paid instantly, directly by those customers.

So either you give the customer a refund, or the affiliate gives the customer the refund.

When a customer asks your affiliate for a refund, they should honor the refund request (so they don't create problems for themselves/their Paypal account).

Occasionally, a customer who paid your affiliate will come to you for a refund. You can simply forward that request to the affiliate who got the sale, and they should make the refund. Some RAP merchants don't bother, and simply refund the customer themselves.

It's your choice.

Since RAP has come out, I haven't heard of the refund being a problem, if the affiliate gets the sale. I think just about all of them are very happy to see the instant payments in their PayPal account and wouldn't want to jeopardize it.

At the very worst, if you have to honor the refund, because the affiliate won't, you can alwats use the 'ban affiliate' function and you won't have to deal with them again.

When using stuff like RAP or some $7 script we think it's better to use it on really low cost offers that are non-refundable and say this upfront IF we allow affiliates.

It shouldn't be a problem anyway because refund requests are either low or non-existent but you just never know what might happen, mainly what an affiliate does, and dealing with refunds in that case is a PITA.

We would if we have to but it's better to try and avoid it.

RAP has worked OK but some people experience problems that we don't and it got to be kind of a pain.
