Hi Warriors, I'm somewhat unhappy with the outdated AR I'm using. The creator has not added any features for years and the promised update never comes. In order to find a good alternative I'm comparing the features of several self hosted and hosted auto responders. They all share the same basic features of course, but they are different in the advanced features they offer. Question to those using ARs successfully for their email marketing: Besides the standard features that any AR has, what are the most important advanced features you appreciate from your AR (or you wish it had)? Thanks, Ralf |

ROI and sales figures. You can set up Aweber so that it provides this for you. Also the tracking. Ralf - I'd contact them and see if they will let you import your list. |

The ability to track who opened and who doesn't.. and send an updated or new message to the ones that did/didn't open separately Sales tracking You need AWeber, imho. I have an AWeber, GetResponse, Constant Contact and iContact account. I build more lists with AWeber when possible. Peace Jay |

Segmenting lists with links that have tags attached to them. For example, say you have two links in your email, one for running tips to losing more weight and one for weight-lifting tips to lose more weight. Now, you've got a better idea of them and can target what they want better.

Could I do that in AWeber. If so, how to go about it? | |

I agree with Jay. The ability to know who open your email and take action versus who doesn't is very important to me. Our goals of creating email campaign is to hopefully get at least 1 % to take action. We have a ROI software we installed on our server. It creates several unique URLs which points to our website. We use that to track which email campaign was successful and which is not.

lol, this was moved to the product review section, but it is NOT about a review for a product. I want to discuss what advanced features are important in any autoresponder, I'm not looking for reviews of particular companies or products.... The result for me would be a 'need to have' list. |
