Traffic Secrets 2.0

I would love to hear from those that are starting to get their package what they think.

My package has arrived but is sitting in my post box in Detroit. Not sure when I'll be able to get over and get it.

I received my package yesterday. It was more than I expected.

12 CDs (or were they DVDs?)
A workbook
A regular book (transcripts of the videos)
7 Blueprints for success in specific areas
Then I logged onto the site. I was blown away by the resources listed.

So, I set the kit aside after looking it over for a couple hours and went back to work on the projects I had that were pressing deadlines.

I doubt anyone will be disappointed. John really over delivered on this one.

Fully agree with Tim. I received my package this morning and I am really impressed by what I've seen so far.

Mine arrived intact and the quality is nice. Watched a few CD's. They have good general information.

The forum is very good and the worksheets are going to help new - intermediate marketers a lot.

Well you know anything JR releases is of excellent quality

Its just a matter of are you going to let it collect dust in your closet or put the
principles to work

Just grabbed it from the UPS driver. Something fun to do this weekend, I thought to myself.

And it is missing 3 of the cd's. Guess I will be one of the first to test Johns 2008 Support Ticket System! Why did I get the $4 an hour packager and quality assurance inspector? lol

I went through the Market Discovery CD yesterday and thought it was fantastic. I learnt a lot of new ideas. Normally I don't like watching video presentations, but Traffic Secrets managed to sustain my interest the whole time.

I can see them coming down the assembly line and the guy pushing a twinkie in his mouth as your copy went by thus he missed stuffing in those disks.

Very happy with Johns Support ticket system. Took 4 days to get a response but they are taking care of the problem, like I expected. Top Quality guy in my book. Theres some gems in there if you pay attention and take notes.

I think this whole "Traffic Secrets" thing is a sham... :<0

Thanks for the kind words. Also wanted to personally apologize about the missing CDs. Our fulfillment center is typically rock solid but people do make occasional mistakes -- sorry it happened to you.

Got my package in A1 condition and just about as well delivered as possible.

Everything looks top notch. No great "Well I didn't know that" moments yet but I'm sure they'll be coming as I delve deeper.

I was eagerly awaiting mine. I thought I would be among the very first to receive because I ordered as soon as order=taking opened. I must have been among the first as login to the site for resoruces or community forum didn't work for several days.

I'm very happy with and impressed by the quality of information as well as the presentation. I've now become a fan of John Reeves.

You mean Reese?

Same here, impressed with quality of info. The only downside is perhaps the packaging. It took me 30 minutes just to try and get the CDs out.

Agreed - the info so far is great. I would have made the CD's a little easier to get out, plus it would be nice to be able to "snap shut" the case so it doesn't open and spill everything out.

I received my copy in the UK around a week ago, the package is impressive.

Got my copy free as I bought Mass Control through John Reese so got TS 2.0 as a bonus.

Haven't been through the Traffic Secrets 2.0 material yet, but have watched the bonus DVD's with Frank Kern in them - worth watching if you didn't join Mass Control as he goes into a lot of the Mass Control concepts.

I will step up and give it a review...

Is it good or bad? It's great!

Is it worth the money? Hell Yeah! In fact, for less than $500 its a steal.

The presentation of it is second to none. And, if you are a new or struggling internet marketer, Traffic Secrets 2.0 will blow you away.

It's very comprehensive...

It covers every avenue of traffic generation.

I personally don't think its anything new to veteran Internet marketers. However, I think that experienced marketers should appreciate the quality and presentation of it.

On a scale from 1 to 10

Content/Value...... 7.5-8

Presentation........ 10

The only two negative things that I will say about Traffic Secrets 2.0, is that:

- I wished some of the sub topics on a few of the CD's would have offered a little more detail. But, then again, that's just more specific to me.

and...

- Even though there isn't anything wrong with this, I thought that the presentation far exceeded the value.

Overall... I give it a thumbs up!

Peace...

p.s. I like John Reese. So if anyone disagrees wit me, please remember... this is just my honest opinion.

I agree with everything Mark Anthony sait. I hoping/expecting that massive amounts of detail and additional resources will eventually be posted on the resources site. So far it looks like that is still developing but it is growing and I think eventually the entire package will be total dynamite.

Okay.
I'm back from holidays and the package was waiting for me.

It looks awesome indeed.

However, I won't post any review before I've earned my money back at least twice (that's the point in buying a marketing class right... making money !)

I'm sure it's going to work really FAST... so I'm going to post that review ASAP

Weren't most warriors busting for this thing to be released? I have a hard time believing it's just sitting on thier shelves after they ordered it on launch day.

For the record, I didn't buy it. My baby was born on the 15th and just missed the entire launch. I'll probably buy it at some point. I'm a little hesitant though because in all honesty I failed to see what the hype about TS 1.0 was all about. But I know that Reese makes a lot of money online so he must have stuff to teach.
I think this is one of those strange phenomenon's, where the majority feels the exact same way about this product.

Although I could be wrong. It just seems like one of those situations where, even in a Forum as brutal as the Warrior Forum, people are just apprehensive about giving their real opinions.

Another possibility is that, maybe there weren't that many Warriors that bought it.

I don't know...

To be honest with you, I even feel weird about commenting on this now.

What I will say is this (and this is just my take): Traffic Secrets 2.0 is a very basic product.

That's not a knock on John Reese. But, "it is what it is."

I thought that it pointed out tons of great sources for traffic, with very little explanation to follow. Example: I felt that the section on PPC could have been more in depth-like a Perry Marshal training.

Overall, it's a great product. It's like having an encyclopedia that you can always refer to.

And, for under $1,000 its a steal. Although, I thought that it could have offered more.

Peace..

Good solid information with a lot of stuff I would have never thought of. Well worth the price. I'm disappointed that the forum doesn't work. I can't recall the exact message but something like "registration closed by admin". I think the forum, if it ever comes up, will be a terrific resource. The "Resources" area is also a work-in-progress and while not exhaustive right now, I anticipate it will grow.

I got the Traffic Secrets 2.0 course and I am totally blown away by it. It's much better than I expected and well worth the price.

The course consists of 12 CDs which contain videos that take you through every aspect of online marketing from the foundations through to a master plan to put it all into practice. Each video contains in-depth tuition on the essentials you have to master to generate traffic and build your business. As well as the CDs there's a 370+ page printed workbook with a transcript of all the lessons.

John Reese's style is very accessible and he clearly knows his stuff. What impressed me is how up to date the material is. For example, there's masses of stuff on social media (web 2.0) and what's worth doing and what's not. And throughout the course, the impression you get is that you are getting the message straight from the horse's mouth: this is how John Reese has made his millions and this is what you have to do to emulate him.

There's bluepints and checklists of all you should do, with tons of tips and resources, and when you've finished the course you end up with a clear action plan of what you have to do to achieve your goals. And there's a private forum.

Unlike a lot of IM programs, JR doesn't try to kid you that it's easy. In fact, quite the opposite. He's upfront about the amount of work and the course seems designed to help you work out your own priorities.

I would definitely recommend this. It's worth the investment, for sure.

Sarah

Packaging is one of the worst. When compared to TS1, TS2 is like from somebody else. I don't believe this is good for JR's branding.

And about contents, there's nothing groundbreaking. TS1 had lots of new idea and excitement. TS2 doesn't. Perhaps it is just that I expected too much.

If the forum doesn't work, could you explain how I and many others manage to post there?

You should have received an email with your login details. You were not supposed to register yourself. I imagine that is to prevent non-buyers from signing up for the forum.

I personally felt Traffic Secrets 2.0 was a little too "brief". It's probably more targeted towards the newbies/intermediates where they just want to get an overview of generating traffic. When it comes to the SPECIFICS, he doesn't go too deep into that.

The CDs were pretty hard to get out of the casing, which I hated. However, the presentation was pretty cool (with all these neat flash and videos) Overall, in terms of content, it was nowhere close to Traffic Secrets 1.0. But again, TS1 cost $1000 while this was only $300. I guess you get what you paid for.

I have returned the package because as related in a prior post, while the info was good it was not instructional enough. To top it all off Reese's help desk is saying that they have not received my return and they are asking for proof of delivery. I will keep the forum posted on the return mess

Here is the update on my return request. First, let me give the email sent to me denying me a refund because they told me the package had not been received. It is dated 15 Sept 2008:

We have not received our TS2 returned merchandise. Please provide you tracking number. We will proceed with refund as long as we have this tracking info.

Thank you for your cooperation.

After I researched this via the USPS tracking confirmation system, this is what the USPS confirmed:

Label/Receipt Number: 0308 0730 xxxx xxxx xxxx
Status: Delivered

Your item was delivered at 11:41 AM on August 29, 2008 in MCHENRY, IL 60050.

I was told my refund would take 7-10 business days. It has been 3 weeks!
Warriors, come to your own conclusions. This reminds me of those shady insurance company's that rubber stamo all claims with a "NO" and forces the claimant to fight for their rights. I'll keep you posted on their response.

Well, I send a refund request at the beginning of August for the same reasons as Nixon71.

I've had at least 6 or 7 email replies from somebody called "Mercy" who keeps closing the trouble ticket after telling me how to put the CD's in the player and click into the disk drive to run them. ?!?!?

When I complained that several CD's were defective, stopped in the middle or skipped, AND I wanted a refund of the program and asked where to send it back, I got an email with links to the CD's from somewhere in the forum. Not a peep about the refund.

Looks like a clear case of outsourcing disasters and the hired help not understanding the basics. Pity it's me in the non-responsive customer service nightmare loop.

I still have the TS2 program shipping box in my office. Many of my emails began bouncing and were delayed, and I have given up. No phone messages returned, etc. Awful, awful.

I plan to deny the credit card charge and send along the entire email files as backup to the denial.

If anyone from Traffic Secrets is reading this, PM me, this is the most ridiculous thing that I can't cancel.

If anyone wants to buy it, it's at my original cost, (program cost plus shipping), it's brand new, but because you can not register for the forum, I will spring for the postage to you within the USA. PM me if interested.

I am not sure what you mean by not instructional enough, so I will relay my experience...

I bought it and it sat on my shelf because of a busy schedule, so...

I hired my first employee who had absolutley ZERO internet marketing experience. Never heard the term Web 2.0, never visited a bookmark site, never heard of Adwords...you get the picture.

It took him about 2 weeks to get through it - mostly because he was a sponge and soaked in theinformation, took copious notes (I mean, a LOT of notes) and walked away from it calling Reese a friggin genius (and BTW - he never HEARD of John Reese before this).

Ok, fine - anyone can like something - but what about the practicality of the information he learned?

Well, I will tell you - as soon as I get my coffee. BRB.

Ok, back.

Anyway, my new guy has been with me about 3 weeks or so. The past week I put him on a campaign for me to drive traffic to our new blog, and another for a new product launch as an affiliate.

When we sat to strategize our gameplan, I was amazed at the amount he learned AND understood. He knew the jargon, he knew the sites, he knew how to use many tools and so on.

Result:

For our new blog, I set it up on Sept. 10. Today is the 16th. I have attached a screenshot from my Awstats below. (Note: I have had the domain up for about 9 - 10 months, but used it as a test domain for stuff...that's why you see traffic prior to Sept.).

To some traffic guru's, that may be nothing. But I gotta tell you - it impressed me.

Now, the affiliate campaign he started using Adwords. He wrote a series of ads (never did that before), did all of the keyword research, gave me a list of keywords, keyphrases, related key phrases and so on for me to use to create my landing page with.

He monitored the results - including the quality score, the CPC and the ad views. He tweaked the ads to the point that my quality score rose a couple of points and my CPC dropped from an average of $0.70 a click to $0.15 a click (in the Internet Marketing niche).

Again - maybe no big deal for a traffic guru, but inpressed the HELL out of me.

And all the while, he had out the notes he took from the course, the workbook (filled with yellow hilighted passages and dog-eared pages) and reviewed the DVD's as needed and visited John's resource page.

Next step for him is to start doing all this stuff in some of my niches outside IM...

So, John Reese - Thanks for the awesome course.

Mike

Good for him and good for you. I guess anyone who sends it back is just an idiot...or you have a superiority complex.

Wow, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed...

All I said was I did not know what you meant by not instructional enough.

Then I gave my example of someone who went through the course who had zero prior experience.

Never called you or anyone an idiot.

And I only have a superiority complex with those who are ignorant on purpose.

Have a great day.

Hey, Dude,

Thanks for both calling me an idiot AND deciding that I have a superiority complex. Nice. Sticks and Stones.

Thanks for the great feedback, everyone. (Good or bad.)

As far as some thinking that parts didn't go into enough depth, that's simply because the course was trying to cover an overview of the most effective techniques. To go into more detail with ALL the techniques would take 100+ CDs. That's why the forum was created -- to go further into specific techniques that the course didn't have a chance to get into. We'll also be adding additional resources to the members site as well.

For those needing a refund, just call our office at 407-310-1000 and simply ask for it. We've never denied a refund for ANY reason in over 15 years of doing business online.

I live in australia, received mine about 2 weeks ago. Had a good squizz at all that was there, and it was complete, further 100% for being being well presented-
As too the content: I was bitterly disappointed, it appeared to be the same stuff I've been reading about over the last 2 months, all of which was free.
As a newbie I must be showing my ignorance!

Hi guys,

Seems like the feedback on TS2 was that the traffic techniques taught are very "Generalised", could anyone confirm what exactly are the techniques taught? Article marketing? PPC?

Any specifics? I'm thinking of getting it but afraid it might be more suited to the internet newbie.

I'm searching for a detailed and step by step traffic generation technique, is this it?

Please advise.

Many thanks in advance.

Don't be bitterly disappointed. Try and channel that frustration into putting all of this newfound knowledge you've acquired to use. To be fair, that's not easy. It means having to take a few chances, and to often put in long hours. Sometimes it seems easier to just buy another course or package in hopes that it contains a secret shortcut. There rarely are shortcuts. It eventually all comes down to hard work and persistence.
