I'm showing my 17 year old niece the basics of internet marketing. Last night we found a pretty good niche to target using SEO as she has no budget. I'm going after sales on ebay. I've had (and still have) reasonable success using BANS but know that Google tend to slap BANS sites for lack of content. This niche doesn't have a lot you can write about but her boyfriend works in that area so is going to try and get some good articles written. I've been using a Wordpress plug in for a couple of my sites, that's had some success and not been delisted, but I've built each page individually. Are there any other BANS style scripts that are available? |

Combine BANS with N1WAY and you dont need anything else.

| You might want to do more research into BANS before making a decision. A couple weeks ago it was for sale and I read somewhere it had something to do with the fact that it would not work with the new quality click pricing or something. Don't remember exactly. But here's one of the posts about it being for sale and I'm not sure if anyone bought it yet. But I'd check on that to be sure the product will still work and will be supported. Oh in fact I just Googled it and came up with a thread here about the sale. Build a Niche Store - BANS - For Sale on Flippa BIN $500,000 |

I read too many posts to keep it all straight. It was ShoppingAds that's closing down due to quality click pricing. I don't know if that had anything to do with the reason BANs was/or is for sale. | |

Thanks Linda. The BANS sites I have running are working fine with the new quality click pricing. I was just wondering if there were any alternatives. |

I have a few BANs sites, I built as test sites... Not sure on your niche, but I added an Adsense Block above and below one of my sites eBay Ads. That site gets an average of $1 Dollar per click! So you might like to try adsense & eBay monetization methods... With either PHPBay, BANs (with good content pages) or just regular wordpress pages & using eBay RSS Feeds (in your EPN Dashboard) Either way... You really need good seo content on your sites, coz, eBay will scan your site for a quality score. Then calculate your commissions based on your content, vs the time your traffic spends on eBay vs any actions they take on eBay. i.e. Bid, Buy or sign up. - aj p.s. BANs would be great for a 17yr old to start off with as they'd learn everything about, building a site, designing it... and monetizing it. However, there is a few bugs, the new owners havent fixed for ages... You cant add "quotes" in any pages, as they wont save and update. (not sure if you're aware of that or not?) All the best mate, |
