Default Recommend A Payment Processor For Canadians---Not PAYPAL.

Alright,
I have had my last stand with the evil corporation known as Paypal and now that they are going to hold my money hostage for 6 months, can anyone please recommend a shopping cart that works for Canadians? I would prefer one that still takes those evil payments, but without me having to have an account with them.

Thanks in advance,
Sylvia

Sylvia - I know Josh Anderson had a connection to a cdn merchant co. - he's a fellow warrior and great guy!

Also have you tried your local CDn bank? I know BMO has one you can get...

And...google checkout - not sure if they allow Canucks to use it ...just another option....

I'm Canadian too, I've been looking at a few options. I haven't explored it fully yet but fastspring.com looks promising and allows you to also accept paypal.

It isn't a glorified middleman like paydotcom or ejunkies

Hope this helps.

James

P.S.
If you find a good one, please let me know.

You can try 2checkout.comm, it's not just for Canadian though. Everyone can use it.

Contact: Solid Trust Pay .com -- They are Canadian AAAAAA!

They might be able to help you out, or at least, point you in the right direction.

Also contact: https:// usd.swreg.org

They serve Canadian Based Businesses as well
and you can even accept Canadian Dollars, if you want to.

I will check out BMO, I have a BMO business account so I will look at that. I am familiar with Solid Trust, had some issues with them back in my MLM days LOL. Alertpay, there's another option I suppose and I do have an account with them. 2CO, I'm signed up for and will see how it goes. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

Sylvia

Just a brief note that I have used 2checkout as a customer and it has worked fine from my end.

Default Alternatives to Paypal for everyone

Paypal is a nightmare, but there are alternatives.

You need to find out if your site is deemed "high risk", if so, you will pay more for processing, but most every processor will give you better service than Paypal. Most processors avoid "high risk" accounts, but there are good providers out there.

My name is Tim Seitz, and I match merchants to the right processor. You can find me on youtube, facebook or linkedin and I can set up payment processing (both credit card and direct debit from bank accounts) for almost any business.

For US merchants, I can get you Next Day Funding, which gets you your money from ALL credit cards (including American Express) if you batch out by 7 PM.

I deal with several processors, who compete to provide the best terms to my clients. I am always looking for accountants, web designers and coaches who want to help their clients AND have an additional residual income stream.
