The Twitter Method - Is this really any good?

Somebody recently referred me to "The Twitter Method" product by Tom Deeter and Jack Humphrey.

They offer a "free" dvd for just a shipping cost of $7.95 which will get me in their membership site for a 15 day trial. After that, it's 67 bucks monthly fee.

I don't know if this is worth checking out.

Anybody here part of it, please add your thoughts on this.

I just joined twitter a few weeks ago and I'm still learning how to use it effectively without wasting my time. Plus I want to utilize it in a way that doesn't make me look like I'm hard selling anybody.

Still on the fence...

I came across this site recently too and would be interested to hear from anyone who has it too.

I built the exact feature they describe in their intro video into the heart of the traffic script at free-traffic-scripts.com. The default search I use is best make money online ? which is remarkably close to their pitch!

I am tempted to get it so I can build the other 17 features in too (just kidding if they're reading this).

I took the plunge for the $7.95 price... Watched the videos on the member site, went thru the FAQ and all the member forum posts (still need to read the ebook). Their custom software runs on the Adobe Air platform (only useable online by members logged in to the site) but it looks sweet. I'll have to install it and check it out.

I did an introductory run thru on Twitter some time ago and then obtained Perry Belcher's "Twitter List-Building" material. My take-away from that training was that it was more time consuming than I wanted to jump into.

Most of the existing Twitter training materials have focused on building a large twitter following in order to implement various marketing strategies. The Twitter Method only requires "following" & "being followed" enough to maintain a reasonable profile. That parameter will naturally expand over time but is not the basis of marketing success with the Twitter Method.

Since the time and effort of building a large following was what put me off initially, this approach looks much more attractive to me. I'm going to put the software thru it's paces during the 15 day trial to see if I want to continue @ $67.00 per month.

I wonder if Perry Belcher has any comments about the Twitter Method on his blog. I think I'll go see.

        Hi Charla,

Welcome to the Warrior Forum and thank you for taking the time to write your thoughts on this program.

I remember getting an email about Perry Belcher's course on Twitter building and took a pass on it. Mainly because it looked like a lot of work in setting it up. Last I heard of Perry, he decided to leave the IM scene for personal reasons. So I wouldn't expect to see him popping in here. Unless he decides to make a comeback .

As for "The Twitter Method", the part that intrigues me the most is utilizing the twitter search function in order to see what people are looking for. And then offering solutions to those people in need, as long as you have something useful to offer.

I look forward to seeing what kinds of results you're getting before I take the plunge on this.

        Thanks again,
        Michael

Perhaps some others can provide the feedback you are looking for. My current circumstances are going to put a wrench in my progress for a few weeks. Sister going in hospital within 30 hrs for major surgery and will need someone with her at all times while there (5-7 days). Only 2 of us to cover that... in 8 hour shifts. Then close care at home for a few more weeks.

Yes, I will take my laptop to the hospital but I don't expect to have internet.... if hotels can provide it....? Makes me wish I had kept my wireless ISP. Oh, well. I may not be able to take full advantage of the free trial but I'll definitely revisit this later to make a final decision whether to subscribe.

          Best regards,
          Charla

I have gotten the DVD and the 14-day trial.
So far I would say this is genuinely different than other twitter marketing methods, in that the emphasis is not on getting thousands of followers.

The training videos are short and concise and the strategies are sound and not spammy. So I would expect this to continue working for some time.

Several strategies are explained and yet I am not having great success just yet with finding a niche that is not overly crowded with other marketers.

I haven't yet determined if this is because I am not understanding something or if it's because some important details were left out.

So in theory, it all seems to make sense. In practice, it's not quite as simple as it sounds.

The ongoing $67 fee seems a bit much, but I will give things more time before reaching a decision.
    Anyone else in this membership?
