Default PPC Classroom 3.0 early impressions

After losing hundreds to Adwords with another ppc program not too long ago I stayed away from it for a while.

But just recently I got bombarded with PPC Classroom 3.0 pre-launch material from a bunch of gurus so I decided to check it out but this time with caution.

Even PPC king Perry Marshall and the godfather of direct linking Chris Carpenter was vouching for this program. That says a lot!

So far the information is pretty good. I'd have to say its much more detailed than Chris Carpenters Google Cash Detective program, but thats probably because majority of the program is text based and not video based. I've always favored video training material because its so much easier to follow but now I'm finding that text based training material is more thorough.

I definitely have a more positive feeling for this one than the GCD program.

One of the big gripes I had was actually accessing the PPC Classroom website. After a few frustrating moments I finally figured out I had to go through the Affiliate Classroom support link in order to get to it. I'm not alone on this either. Other students had it better.

However when you finally get to the actual content you'll realize instantly how good it is. Its well worth the effort.

PROS
- great content
- much better material than gcd.
- $1 14 day trial definitely worth it (customer support confirms trial is $1 for 14 days and not 10)

CONS
- Customer support lacking. Submitted 5-6 tickets over the course of a week. Got only one response back. However this may be due to them
getting bombarded with questions from everyone.
- Syllabus for beginners is utterly useless since some of the courses don't exist.
- To get to ppc classroom you have to go through support link through Affiliate Classroom. Other students report theirs working just fine.
- traning progress and profile stat unreliable. Sometimes it'll show you have completed 80 percent, few seconds later it
drops down to zero percent.
- all training material is viewable via pdf flash file within the site. No you can't save it onto your hard drive. When you scroll down the page and then explode it
to fit the screen it doesn't take you to the page you were at. It instead takes you somewhere else in the doc.
- oddly flash pdf files consume a ton of my cpu resource at 100% on both Chrome and Firefox.
- why did they mix the PPC Classroom courses up with Affiliate Classroom 2.0? Totally confusing. Makes you wonder if the courses
were written by Amit.
- all training material is text based. No video training. However text training seems more thorough and well laid out.
- pre-release videos stated that all PPC classroom 3.0 material is brand new. But as it turns out much of it still refers
to PPC Classroom 2.0.
- Site is buggy. Courses you completed are checked with a green check mark but sometimes dissapear. Some courses are missing however they did
turn up a few days later. Training tool mentioned in one of the modules missing as well.

Summary
The website has a lot of technical issues however its minor complaint compared to how good the content is. You'll definitely come out a more advanced PPC marketer. $1 for 14 days is definitely well worth the price of admission.

I agree with you. I've spent this evening going through a dozen of their training courses and the material is very good.

I do PPC for a living and I wanted to see what I could learn from the experts. The content is very much up-to-date, and I've picked up some great tips so far.

If you are considering trying this out, I have to warn you that the purchase process is a series of "one-time-offers". Just keep scrolling down to the "no thanks" button and eventually you'll get through them all.

Try not to read the offers because they are so darned compelling that before you know it you'll have signed up for a lot more than that $1! I almost signed up for one, but escaped in the nick of time.

Overall, excellent materials for beginning or intermediate PPC.

Spartanic,

There's a tab on the left side for PPC Classroom. Quicker than going through support. Once there, click on the Training tab at the top and you'll see about 24 courses you can take...did that last night and didn't go through any syllabus.

Agreed on definitely worth $1...

Not when I log in. And apparently, not when several other people log in, including the customer service person that e-mailed me and was able to reproduce the problem. What we see is only the blue Affiliate Classroom tab. If you click on the Support link to go to the Support page, then the orange PPC classroom tab finally appears, but only when you're on that page.

You're not imagining things. In all the promotional/sales material, it was quoted as a 14 day trial. During the checkout process though, there were multiple points at which it was called a 10 day trial.

It just doesn't seem very well buttoned-up to me.

Is it just me or are some of the training courses unavailable? Seems like its one of those deals where you'll have to wait a whole month before I get it.

Are you able to access all of the courses?

I am following the syllabus and several of the intro courses (AC) are $30-$50ea, and many of the PPC 3.0 courses don't work. If i click on 410.0, 410.3, 410.32, 410.33 they all are a blank window where the coursework should be. After no response from support, I am trying to isolate if there is a problem with my computer or the site. Kinda frustrating to be on a trial (of which 4 days got cut off) and not have access to the content. Granted, I can assume that they are overwhelmed, but frustrating nonetheless.

Well it looks like I just completed the training material minus the ones that we arent allowed to access as of yet. But based on some prior training with the GCD program I think I have enough of a groundwork that I can launch a campaign and hopefully be somewhat successful.

I'll report back in a while on the progress. Wish me luck.

Oh yea but way did anyone sign up for the 30 day trial to Niche Detective Club as well? For some reason the bonuses in there are all corrupted when you download them. Anybody else getting the same thing?

I think part of the problem with the classes that are over on the Affiliate Classroom side is that they haven't setup the memberships for those of us that joined PPC Classroom correctly. If you read the FAQ for Affiliate Classroom, only a handful of the classes are included with a "free membership". So when I go to take class 100.2, which is the second one on the Beginner Syllabus for PPC Classroom, I get told it'll be $30. I'm pretty sure that shouldn't be the case, but there has been ZERO response to the ticket I opened on that issue.

I also signed up for the free month of Niche Detective, and when I click on any of that content I get a "Not Authorized to Access that Page" message.

I also tried accessing some of the webinars provided in the Training Section. Those also result in the same "Not Authorized" message.

I also get blank pages for the PPC Classroom training classes mentioned in the earlier post.

Let's see, what else? Oh, I tried to download some of the bonuses like the Web Templates ($3000 Value!). I was rewarded with a corrupt zip file.

Are they overwhelmed or just not responsive? No way of knowing right now. I know their Autoresponder isn't overwhelmed. I keep getting e-mails telling me PPC Classroom 3 is open, getting rave reviews, blah, blah, blah.

Yeah, if anyone at PPC Classroom had tested the user experience there's no way they'd have released it right now. Too many kinks in the system causing confusion all around.

That being said, there is a ton of good content more than worth the inconveniences so far.

I'm hopeful they'll get their act together within 14 days!

Hey,
I have to agree with you about the navigation on PPC. I finally quit trying to find the 100 series and just jumped into the 400 series lessons. Fortunately I have had some exposure to affiliate mktg and adwords so I was able to follow along. Adeel and Amit have great information and I like what I have seen so far. Regarding the support, I think Adeel mentioned in the beginning that support would be limited since they were not restricting registration to PPC.

Great(?) to know that I'm not the only one with issues after signing up with PPC 3.0 . They havent even bothered rebranding the courses to PPC 3.0. I sent an email to their support email address and it doesnt even think I exist in their system and told me to register on their external support desk. I did that and am now awaiting a reply...I'll keep you all posted.

In the Affiliate Classroom section:

Click the Training tab at the top, then choose Webinars down the left side. Pick the 2nd webinar:

"How To Go From Nothing to Cash-Pumping Super Affiliate At Light Speed", a good one hour webinar from Anik.

Go through the Bonus section, especially the "Affiliate Makeover Blueprint Pack" - I've watched one makeover so far and it was very informative.

In the PPC Classroom section:

Go under the Training Tab.

There are 20+ courses you can go through

Download all your bonuses (note you may get an error message on some PDF downloads, but there are many downloads that work and you can use)

As you go through each section you'll come across content that you either can't access or it says there is a fee for. My take is that once you get past 14 days, this stuff will open up and will be covered in the monthly subscription.

Anyways, hope this helps you get to the good stuff fast in the $1 trial.

If you are having trouble finding stuff, let me know and I'll see if I can help you.

Cheers,
Frank

This is frustrating because the content is really good! Yet the delivery of certain elements is just not working!

I agree with many of the comments here
clicking the link to some courses returns a blank screen. that happened to me today I eventually got the course I wanted after several attempts.

The related "see also" videos don't appear to be available either!!

As others have said the videos in the 100 series after the 1st one are $30 or above each!

In training 410.32 there are 2 videos to watch near the end but they don't work!!! Aghhhh

The files are indeed corrupt for the bonuses, only time management worked for me!

What else ...

3 support tickets open they all default to low in priority! I wonder why!!

It's fine saying limited support but ensure the blinking site works in the first place!

Someone said there are no videos there are quite a few but they are using Jing and I see no way to pause and rewind, so you have to watch again from the beginning!

So mixed feelings lots of good content for my level of need but rubbish delivery!!

What's the alternative if this isn't sorted soon I really want to get to grips with this stuff.

I randomly keep getting booted from the system with access denied messages.

I downloaded the suggested syllabus, but as people have said previously, most of the Affiliate Classroom courses mentioned on the syallabus require you to pay an adhoc $30 to access. I raised a ticket about this and received the following reply:

"The Level 100, 200 and 300 courses are
only for paying Affiliate Classroom members.
You will not have access to it since you are not
an Affiliate Classroom member, but
you can purchase them if you wish - on an
A-la-carte basis.

All the PPC Classroom 3 courses come under
the Level 400 section, and you will have access
to them since you have signed up for the
$ 1 trial.
Please refer to the “AVOID CONFUSION -
DOWNLOAD THE SYLLABUS!” section on the
homepage of your PPC Classroom 3 account
to get more clarity on the courses.
Hope this help!"

What makes me laugh is that the syllabus I'm being told to download in order to avoid confusion, is the thing that caused the confusion in the first place!

I'm just going to go through the PPC classroom courses and ignore the syallbus.

You are right there it tells you to take those 5 courses first and only the first bleeper is free!!

Classic case of right and left hand not knowing what one another are doing! Outsourcing very badly managed!!

I hope to goodness they are checking Warrior so that they can see the problems! They will lose the majority it they don't sort this soon!!

I see they have now changed it to 10days trial! It was mixed up when I joined but the bit I clicked said 14day trail! What a mess!

I agree, the content is great. If they don't get it worked out within 10 days, i'll be cancelling. Not because I don't want the material, but I don't want to be a paying guinea pig. I can understand that there are bugs, but in my opinion, the right thing to do would be to extend the early users trials, so that they can get a true 10 day trial of the "working" system.

This is assuming that the course access problems we have been experiencing are just that - problems, as opposed to intentional limited access so that you are hooked and become a member at the end of the trial. I am not referring the legitimate access problems such as the videos or niche detective, however to the courses that return a blank screen.

An update this morning...

A) The missing PPC Classroom tab now finally appears on the left side of all pages.
B) The webinar videos in the training section are now accessible.
C) The bonus downloads now appear to work.

However, there are still some bugs:

1) The 100 series classes beyond 100.1 (located on the Affiliate Classroom-->Trainig side) are still not accessible without an additional $30 fee. This is also true for the 200 and 300 series classes. These are the very courses that the PPC Classroom 3 Beginner's Syllabus tells us to take. Despite the tech support response mentioned above suggesting this was correct, I have to believe this is a mistake.

2) The Niche Detective content (for which I signed on for the trial) is inaccessible.

I guess this counts as progress. I hope they enjoy all the free beta-testing we're providing. I guess I'll go through the 400 series classes and try to get some value now.

All other problems remain at the moment!

Hey Warriors,

I didnt really read through this post, but since its about PPC Classroom 3.0, I'll go ahead and post something anyway.

I am a member of PPC Classroom 2.0 and that automatically upgrades me to the 3.0 version.

Now, if you were to go to the sales page of PPC Classroo, 3.0, you'll notice that my name is splashed right across the graphic image "Bryan Chan". In fact, for those of you who listened in to the live audio call during the pre-launch, i am featured there as well.

I am not saying this to brag or anything... but the truth is PPC Classroom stuff works and it works so well that my first sale was generated the day after I edited the campaign.

Of course, having said that, I must say that results are a-typical. But really, if you can read English, write English, and you can follow simple instructions to the T, then you'll probably have a much much higher success with PPC Classroom 3.0.

Understand this... the PPC is a gamechanging arena, where algorithms are changed with the same frequency as us "changing our underwear". Which is why i always tell my list, that if they are gonna learn about PPC, they might as well learn stuff that is proven to work for years to come, and PPC Classroom delivers that.

Protect your investment by only investing in stuff that ARE NOT one time fads.

PPC Classroom 3.0 rocks... go for it!!

Regards
Bryan

P.S.: Notice that I have not placed any affiliate link whatsoever in my post or signature. This is to prove my sincerity in recommending this to anyone who's interested in PPC Classroom 3.0

Hi Bryan,

I am a member of PPC Classroom 2.0 but when I logged in I did not get automatically updated to 3.0. Can you tell me how you got updated?

Thanks,
Dianne

PPC Classroom 3.0 rocks... go for it!!

Bryan

Default Re: PPC Classroom 3.0 early impressions

I am having the same problems most everyone else is with PPC Classroom 3.0. I only see the Affiliate Classroom 2.0 courses - no tab for PPC Classroom 3.0. I was hesitant to sign up for this promo because of all the problems I had with AC 2.0 which were pretty much the same - login problems throughout almost all of my free trial period, sometimes videos work and sometimes they don't. Unable to access the content that was promised.

I have opened a support ticket 2 days ago and still have not had any response. In my past experience, I went through their cancellation process for Affililate Classroom 2.0 and they billed my credit card anyway. It took a while for them to respond, but when their support finally replied they did refund my money they had charged and cancelled the account.

I was hoping they had improved things by now, but apparently not. If I can't get my free trial of 7, 10, 12 or 14 days (still unclear on that one), it's gonna be real hard for me to justify the $97 per month for any of it.

Just my two cents.

Just got a response from support about the trial and as it turns out the trial is 14 days and not 10.

Oddly now I can't access PPC Classroom anymore because the tab is missing. BUT luckily I didn't clear my browser cache so now I can access it through that. Guess I'll have to do it this way until they get things buttoned up.

Finally the other courses that were blank are now accessible as well. The bonuses seem ok now as well. Downloading them don't result in corrupt files anymore.

The website may need a lot of buttoning up but luckily the content is amazingly good.

Hey there,

I got in on a couple of the pre-launch webinars for PPC Classroom 3.0 and was actually very impressed, ready to sign up and give it a shot.

After signing up and getting my login info I was able to see the orange PPC Classroom tab on the left and I downloaded the syllabus as reccomended. The first thing it says to do is go through the 400+ section and they give specific numbers to start with to get PPC Classroom 3.0 started. However all of the following listed below I cant even find, anywhere, in the members section:

411.0 PC-1 – Introduction to the Paid Search (PPC) Business Model
440.0 PC-2 – AdWords for the PPC Marketer
440.1 PC-3 – Setting Up an AdWords Campaign
400.0 PC-4 – Affiliate Marketing & PPC
400.2 PC-5 – Monetization: Earning Commissions, CPA, and Other Compensation Plans
400.3 PC-6 – Working with Merchants and Networks
401.0 PC-7 – Legal and Ethical Issues in the Affiliate Industry
402.0 PC-8 – Email Ethics and SPAM Legislation
410.3 - How to Set Up Your AdWords Campaigns
441.0 - PPC Using Yahoo Search Marketing and Microsoft AdCenter

Now the other ones besides those listed on the syllabus I can see. But it says to start with with these first ones above. I would like to just do it the old fashion way of starting at A and going thru to Z. And if I'm doing a trial of PPC Classroom 3.0, and those are the starting courses, how is it a trial if you don't have access to the new info?

Is anyone else that is on the $1 trial able to see any of the above courses? If yes can you post the URL here to one or any of them? If it's in the members area I would think that only memeber would be able to access it so I would think it would be ok to post the link. At least I could login and see if the info is on that link.

I have found 2 support ticket systems so far. After I opened one ticket on a blue screen I got a response 2 days later saying that they logged into my members area and could see everything. They were very kind and asked what browser and OS I was using, etc... and then closed the ticket.

While I was waiting for that response above I found another support system in the orange area and opened other ticket in that area, no response yet.

I really believe that PPC Classroom has some valuable material baised on what I've seen so far, I'm just very frustrated.

If you pitch a 14 day trial for a $1 then just do that. Why would you hide all of the top material in the outline. That's not a "trial" becuase the material to "try" is not there.

Heck, I don't even mind paying for it. I really don't. I don't expect people to give things away for free. It's nice if they have a money back guarantee so if you really don't benefit from it you can get your money back anyway.

But, even if I pay for it, will it show up in there? And since it doesn't show up in there now don't you think they would have a link in there that says...

"Hey, are you looking for the courses mentioned in the syllabus? They are over here (give a link)"...

And then if that link says that you need to pay, so be it. But at least you know where the information is instead of it just not being in there. Maybe it is in there and I'm just not seeing it? I'm using Windows 7 RC and IE8. I also tried viewing the members area in the Mozilla browser and everything looks the same. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt if its just me and the rest of you can see these courses.

Again, does anyone see these courses mentioned above in the orange PPC Classroom area? If you do see them, did you just sign up with the free trial and NO other upgrades (there were a bunch!), or did you actually purchase one or more of the upgrades?

Waiting Patiently...

Dmrcer,

Forget about following the syllabus for now, and ignore the poor user experience all of us are having. Fact is that despite all that, there is good value here for $1.

In the Orange Section, choose the training tab from the top. There you will see all the level 400 courses. They cover basic and advanced PPC. Start with them, there are about 20 of them and they are good.

Also, download the bonuses, and checkout the webinar from the left menu. Good stuff there also.

I hope they improve this site fast, but what we know so far is:

1. Customer service is slow to non-existent
2. Website is semi-functional
3. Lots of good content that is a pain to find
4. It's only $1, and do what I have outlined and you will learn a lot.

Cheers,
Frank

If you are considering trying this out, I have to warn you that the purchase process is a series of "one-time-offers". Just keep scrolling down to the "no thanks" button and eventually you'll get through them all.

Try not to read the offers because they are so darned compelling that before you know it you'll have signed up for a lot more than that $1! I almost signed up for one, but escaped in the nick of time.

Overall, excellent materials for beginning or intermediate PPC.
Sounds good, I'll look into this more when I get home from work.

There are so many PPC programs.

I did PPC Classroom the last time it came out.

Thought it was a complete waste of money and canceled out.

Based on the last go round, I'm am not interested in any $1 trials.

How many times do you need to learn to set up an Adwords account?

The dashboard is rather confusing and not user-friendly at all.

The course materials are alright (worth the $1 trial). Though, the content are mostly text base, there are 1-2 videos in between some of the modules.

The support section hasn't responded up til now and I can't find the button to Cancel Subscription. None of the buttons under "Manage Subscription" seem to work at all.

A quick review:

- I am member of 2.0 which teaches good but mainly baisic stuff
- There is no automatic upgrade to 3.0
- Signed in for 3.0 and found lots of bugs (most of them mentioned already)
- Sent 4 tickets to support, first one 4th Nov. = None of them answered so far
- The bonus section is not even there (some of you have it, congrats)

Conclusion:

If you claim to deliver top-notch stuff, you have to make sure that such
things won't happen, especially not to existing customers.

In one word: Disappointing!

Hi Update!

I'm not happy at all. The materials are promising and I wld have stayed a month a two to absorb it all.

However Support sucks big time they give a vague answer IF any at all.

Some related videos that were there have all been taken away! ( I complained we could not view them and hey presto they have now gone completely!) Strange taht when it said we got access to every thing.

Today I go to reveiw a process on bulk listing a campaigns no videos work!

I've had enough so go to cancel and guess what ...

The option to downgrade or cancel the account has been removed!

I will do a creditcard charge back if they attempt payment! I have warned them!

So make sure you get cancelled in good time via support if you are not continuing.

PPC classroom teaches VERY basic methods.

Save your money and just visit Google's own Adwords training videos and lessons.

Hi

Email them and put Cancellation-Urgent make sure you select PPC Billing and not the AC Billing option.

I said something like this...

"I see you have removed the option for me to cancel my membership!! There is nothing to downgrade or stop as is advised there should be in your support FAQ.

I am instructing you to cancel my account for the PPC 3.0 & the monthly niche detective. You are NOT to take any payments from my card!

I should say that IF the payment is taken I will have no hesitation in doing a CREDIT CARD CHARGEBACK.
So I urge you to ensure that it is cancelled. If you do not do this I will instruct the card company NOT to pay you on the 13/11/09.

I look forward to hearing from you."

Reword it a bit but essentially if they take payment when you have instructed them not to, it is a fraudulent transaction.

I don't think they will they confirmed my cancellation in less than a day.

Good luck
Lynne

The marketing material talks real "pretty", but the thing that pushed my abort switch was the marketing material stating 14 days and then the sign-up agreement stating 10 days. How difficult can it be to change to characters of text?

Add to this the fact that you go through their payment processing which makes cancellations a bit more difficult that clicking unsubscribe in PayPal or cancel via ClickBank.

Pretty on the outside but appears to be broke on the inside. Hmmm...reminds me of an old girlfriend in high school
