I agree it's probably the best ppc course in the market but the pricing point is a little steep.

I'm a member in both ppc classroom and ppc coach so I get inside up-front ppc information from both sides comparing apples to apples

from my conclusion, ppc coach is the way to go with the first rate information from ppc experts and it's only a small monthly fee per month

WHY put up 1500k when you can get started with a small montly fee...I called that leveraging in my opinion

use the rest of the 1450 dollars for practicing live campaigns and your on your way to gaining ppc experience

no experience in media buys yet

still learning to master ppc before I move on

I've been doing seo the last 6 months and learned a ton from experts here

whatever you do, focus on one traffic medium 1st till you get comfotable making money and then move on to the next traffic generator

A valuable step before getting into media buys. There is a huge amount of traffic available from this source but it needs to be targeted and tracked properly or you will lose your shirt.

Consider that when someone visits large traffic sites such as when collecting their email at Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail or by visiting CNN, there are screen displays of ads - text, banners, etc. Do you think that Yahoo knows what demographic you are (such as age group and gender? That information allows them to charge more for better targeted traffic - demographic targeting.

They are able to sell impressions (page views) by the million, so can deliver huge amounts of traffic for relatively low cost - but may require a buying commitment of hundreds or thousands of dollars on a contract basis.

A good way to cut your teeth on it is learning to use Site Placement with Adwords' Content network. You are able to work with lower sums while learning the basics. The classic work on this is the book "Adwords 180". Whilst this is several years old and out of date in some respects, it does describe the key aspects of placement advertising with Google and the author has dropped the price to $14.95. You can read about it here (not an affiliate link):

It's possible to do well with the Content Network and I'd suggest sending traffic to your own white hat site (with privacy page, etc) as that is more likely to be well received for traffic purposes when reviewed by Google.

Although a lot of CPA affiliates like to send traffic by the most direct route to the merchant to reduce leakage (visitors not clicking thru), you might consider whether there is value in sending them first to an optin form and getting them on to your own list.

Content Network often doesn't convert well for affiliate sales but is usually fine as a source of leads and can be used for those merchants paying for leads, as well as your own list.

Other traffic suppliers (as with media buys) are not usually as fussed as Google about the destination and it's often possible to display an ad that will click thru to the merchant.

My own preference is to first get visitors on to my own list. They are then available for additional offers (including my own products) and are not just one-shot wonders. I can also use cheap traffic for this purpose.

Whether you continue to use the Search Network depends on the maths - if it is profitable it is worthwhile. The Content Network is a bit slower to get started as they approve the ads before displaying them. However, CN traffic is usually cheaper.

Budgeting for cash flow is also a consideration as you may have to pay Google before you get paid by the merchant so you have to be sure funds are available to meet the charge to your credit card. This may not be a problem when operating on a small scale but is significant when you scale up and face large credit card payments.
