Default Which Shopping Cart Service Should I Choose?

I've been looking at shopping carts lately for my retail site. I see so many available... I'm wondering, which is the best shopping cart? Has anyone had experiences? I'm currently looking at Pinnacle Cart... Please provide any feedback you may have. Thanks.

If you are looking for a hosted solution, I suggest 1shoppingcart.com. I don't use it myself, but many top internet marketers use it and there is tons of positive feedback's about 1shoppingcart

My choice is ultracart. In fact I even have some videos on setting it up as you can see the links below

However...asking which is the "best" shopping cart is very vague.

You have to know what you want first before you can title something the best. And it is only the best for your purposes.

There are some things 1 cart does better than others and vice versa.

I've been using Shopping Cart Software, Online Store Software, E-Commerce by 3DCart

Great for digital products. It's worth looking into.

Prestashop is another open source shopping cart, works for both physical and digital products, easy to set up, lightweight and user friendly.

I have been using that for some time

Some carts are designed more from "online store" point of
view - in them you can list cameras or whatever you sell,
categorized and so on. Basically they are designed to
emulate the experience of shopping from a catalog.

For info-marketers, selling software and using salesletters
and things there is a different dynamic at work. You
want power to do OTOs, recruit and motivate affiliates,
track affiliate activity, even pay instant commissions.

I doubt any cart will serve perfectly the varied needs
of different types of marketers.

That being said, if you want to sell hats, for instance, Zen
Cart works good, it's free and not too hard to learn, set-up
or use.

For my digital products business I use Delavo. It doesn't
support a wide range of shipping parameters right now
because it's designed for info-marketers, not sellers of
goods that vary a lot in size and weight.

So, you really need to define what it is you are selling and
decide if affiliates are going to be bringing you traffic
or not.
