Hey guys,

I'm tying to get a clear cut, strait to the point answer on what the best social bookmarking software is.

Some of the software's I've found are:

Social Bot
Bookmarking Demon
Bookmark Wiz

What are your guys opinions of these products? Also if you can suggest anything I may have not found yet, that would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Bookmark Demon definitely is the best, it automates everything, saves alot of time, and apparently has good support and upgrades. It is also the most expensive.

I use Socialbot, and it's not bad, it doesn't automate everything, you have to create accounts for each social site, verify each email, and enter captcha when bookmarking for sites that require it. Once the account creation is completed, then the automation kicks in. You enter a domain URL and socialbot will crawl the site and return all pages found, you can then choose the ones you want to submit to the social sites, and move onto the submission stage and press start. Socialbot will submit to each saved social site you have, and does it 1 site at a time, which does take some time. The main advantage of socialbot is the price, it is the best value for such a low price piece of bookmarking software you will find. I haven't recieved any updates from the owners since having it, but I do believe they update now and again.

Conclusion - If you have the money to invest, and want the best of the best, then get Bookmark Demon. If Your on a low budget, and want the best value for money, then socialbot all the way.

It does not automate everything. BookmarkWiz is more automated than Bookmarking Demon, as Bookmarking Demon does not (ATM) allow you to use captcha breaking services. In the current BMD5, creating the accounts can take quite a while.

I know you didn't mention Bookmarkwiz in this post, but from what I've seen so far, each has its advantages.

BMD can be used a bit more "spammy" -- can add your own scuttle or pligg sites, and you can mass bookmark URLs.

Bookmarkwiz on the other hand can very efficiently and automatically bookmark single URLs to the IMPORTANT bookmarking sites.

Basically, if you want to mass submit and ping farms of properties to hundreds of pligg and scuttle sites with varying degrees of success, go with BMD.

If you're using bookmarking for more tactical purposes, where you won't need to bookmark a crazy amount of URLs, bookmarkwiz is the better option because it creates the accounts for you.

My opinion only - bookmarking is not powerful enough to go with a solution that does not automate the process as much as possible. Depending on your intent, i'd go with either bookmarkwiz or bookmarking demon

The choices I have for bookmarking tools are bookmarkingdemon, Senuke, onlywire.com and socialmarker.com

Bookmark demon is really very good and fast but it is costly so i think its for much more advance internet marketers .

Social bot - I really like this software but the problem its quite slow .If you bookmark your page to the 89 social networking site using this software , you need quite fast internet connection and you have to enter the cptcha so you have to be attentive .so it will take some time .

Onlywire - This is my favorite bookmarking service .Its free and it will bookmark your page to the more than 22 sites and its really work fast .

Now the conclusion is that you can use both social bot and onlywire .When you bookmark your website main page use social bot as its just 25$ .So you can spend and for the inner page of your website you can use onlywire .

Conclusion for the important page use socail bot and semi - important or any web 2.0 properties use onlywire .

I don't know whats the BEST.

BUT I know I love SocialBot. Works everyday like a brave soldier. Besides it's a one time payment (search for discount coupons), free upgrades for life and Big Mike himself it's a Warrior.

You can't beat that.

I am a big fan of SocialBot.

No, it is not 100% automated, but the account creation and email verification doesn't take that long. Maybe 30-40 minutes at the most. And you can use the same accounts for your bookmarking. You don't have to create new accounts for every single page you bookmark.

The CAPTCHA's you do have to enter, but I can submit a page for bookmarking and enter all the CAPTCHA's in less than 15 minutes.

Picked it up with a 50% off coupon, so for $12 it was well worth the investment. I would recommend it if it was 5 times that price.

Does anyone else have trouble with Socialbot not working on some sites?

Some sites it will show 'completed' but when I check the bookmark was not posted.

Seems like a lot of the bigger sites do not work properly (propeller, stumbleupon, jumptags, etc.) I end up wasting a lot of time checking to see if it worked properly.

I made sure I have the newest version also...

I like BookmarkWiz if you have the funds as it is a good automated software and has a one time fee.

Thanks for the great insight guys, it is very appreciated. I like BMD, but I have heard of way to many people complaining about how buggy it is, and how it's no completely automated. I think I'll try out Bookmark Wiz. I'll keep you guys updated on how it works out

I've been using OnlyWire for about a year now and have been very happy. They have made continuous improvements to the interface and functionality throughout that time as well.

I've tried onlywire, but I didn't like it too much. Plus I want something a lil more automated so I don't have to spend too much time bookmarking my blog.

I've used BMD for a while and been happy with the results. The latest version seems to have muddled the waters a bit. I've heard good things about Bookmarkingwiz

My vote would be for Social Bot. I have not tried any other type of bookmarking software, but SB works just fine for me. It was a one time payment and cheap too

Almost all of Incansofts products are affordable and very easy to understand and use.

I heard that Bookmarking Demon not regularly updated. Is it true?

It's actually been improved with bad directories removed, new ones added, automated account creating added... it was getting a bit buggy towards the end of 2.0 , but since the launch of 3.0 (it's been greatly improved)... you may even create 200 or so bookmarking accounts that are keyword targeted at a click of a button. I was having my doubts with the bugs that were creeping in, but literally overnight brought some killer changes worth mentioning (as I have above). I can make a video to show you how it works if you like!

Edit: Sorry, I misread and thought that you were talking about Bookmark Generation.

With Socialbot there are about 60+ services. However, I find that I always have problems and only about 30-40 stick.
I've used it for about 5 months, got it for 7.77, it's not perfect but it was cheap.

I also use bookmarking demon and am happy with it - although you have to babysit it at the end w/ the captcha's.

I also use Socialmarker (free) to get about 10 big sites that BMD doesn't seem to hit correctly like Digg, Propeller, Mixx, Reddit... takes about 10 minutes to do that.

I am more interested in a bookmarking software that bookmarks to sites that people actually visit and explore...

it's not just for backlinking, I would like to get real traffic from real people, if yo know what I mean.
Rather 10 bookmarks that many people will see, then 100 bookmarks that nobody ever clicks.

So what software is the best choice for that ?

I stalk Big Mike until he mentions that there will be a sale.

They have sales all the time. Just have to watch the forums here for one to be announced.

Yesterday, they had a Black Friday sale yesterday using the coupon code WALMART.

Not sure if they extended it, but you can always visit their site and try it.

Here is a thought for those developers out there. How about a Wordpress Plugin with the automated functionality of software like SENuke or BMD that would start the process of SEO link creation for each and every blog post, at your discretion of course, that is made? I know there is an OnlyWire plugin that does that right now.

I'm using Bookmarking Demon since version 3 (which wasn't that great). Version 4 showed a lot of improvements and now version 5 kicks ass. It gets updated on a regular basis and with one of the recent updates they have included a decaptcher service but I haven't used it yet.
