Anyone outside the US using it and have you experienced any difficulties with it that might not be obvious? I'm especially wondering about coverage issues. I plan on buying one to test, but need to invest in 30 plus units, so would appreciate any feedback on it. Note: please comment only on the International version - I already know the US one is terrific. |

I'm (hopefully) getting one for Christmas, but from what I see of their coverage map, Canada has 3G covered. 30 + units, curious, why?

I have one imported to the UK and think it's brilliant. No problems with coverage anywhere I've used is so far. The downside, and something to think about, is that the data transfer fees outside the US are shocking. Essentially, the person downloading is looking at $2 a document, so, if you're looking to drip content, that will add up fast. I get around it by transferring everything via PC, but not everyone's going to be tech-savvy enough to do that. |

the $2 extra is dependent again on what country you're in. Best to check with Amazon directly. I know that for me, in Canada there are no additional fees.

Let me elaborate a little. In the UK, the price of all downloads sold through Amazon are automatically increased by $2 to cover the download charge (it's actually slightly more as the price is taxed as well). You can automatically transfer personal documents to the Kindle via Whispernet too, by e-mailing them to a specific address (which is how I'd imagine drip feeding content would work). In that case, the fee is about $2 per download, paid for by the customer. I know most of Europe is like that, couldn't say for sure about other countries. |

Oh well, it's not that big a deal - cost of doing business and all that. | |
