Best Registry Repair Software?

Hi Warriors,

Kindly share your experience with Registry Repair Software.

Which registry cleaner software is reliable and the best on these aspects viz. features, safety, ease of use and installation, and price? Is there a free version available having major features and less usage restrictions?

Any experience using 'Advanced System Optimizer'?

Thanks in advance.

Registry mechanic is pretty good as well as Advanced System Optimizer. It's just a case of installing a few and finding one which you like the most.

I must admit I've not used ASO before but it does look very advanced. The only problem is that since it's got so many features, it could be just average at a lot of things instead of being good at just one feature, such as registry cleaning.

The good thing about these paid apps is that you can be pretty sure that most of them are going to be legit. If I were you, I'd install the free trials they have and test them out for yourself. You might like the basics of RegCure or even the sophistication of Perfect Optimizer. It's your call - they are all on pretty much the same level to be honest.

Here's a good registry cleaner reviews site.

I also use Registry Mechanic, but there's a pretty good free version called Eusing. Whatever you use however, BACKUP YOUR REGISTRY DATA BEFORE EVERY CLEANING <and> create a restore point before you clean. Heh, this is experience talking...err...shouting =).

I have experience with all the registry softwares that existed and exist today! I can honestly say that the best, non OS wrecking super precise one is WinASO!! The developer is surely a genius!

For free, CCleaner gets top spot!

When I say testing registry software, I tested almost full time for the last few years with different configurations. You see, when I'm bored I either watch Youtube videos or test software utilities.

There is too much hype for Registry Mechanic. I'll restrain from commenting on that one cause I would get flamed...

...and now the worst...drum roll.......Ace registry cleaner. This one will fail on your OS sooner or later! Will seem to do a good job at first, and later will make your system unbootable. Over and over again it always failed on 3 different OS'es in my tests.

Has anyone any experience with System Mechanic which is supplied by Iolo. It worked fine for a year but recently it has given problems. When it updates and runs, it causes my Internet Explorer to block Google searches .. it hashes out the google IP addresses in my host file. I have learnt to go into Windows System 32 and find the host file and remove the # and reset it manually. How to get hold of the supplier is a problem ... it is like trying to contact someone at Google ... brick wall!
