Default Question about Perry Marshall's Definitive Guide 2010 version

Do any of you guys own this? I bought the original one several years ago and it was pretty good. I'm trying to learn more about how to really utilize the content network, but am not finding much information about it anywhere.

Does Perry cover this in detail in his new version or do you know of a better resource for this?

Thanks

Brad

Default Re: Question about Perry Marshall's Definitive Guide 2010 version

I have the 2010 edition. Here's my take.

Perry covers content network to a similar level as he does the search network. That is, just the basics. Vital, important, and the right way to start. But with this guide alone, you will be slaughtered except in rare yet to be discovered niches. As Perry himself mentions in his guide, he wants you to sign up for his various other advanced offerings where he would presumably reveal other more advanced strategies.

I found Matt Harward's sitesniperpro.com a better value at this price point and more usable way to take Content network PPC to the next level. It deals with Managed Placements or Placement targeting.

Slowly but gradually even this is beginning to get fairly competitive, so be ready to go even beyond with using image ads on Content network, which is something not too crowded YET.

Not dissing anyone here at all. After all Perry M IS the king of adwords. I just think that at this price point Matt's product offers more value and goes a bit deeper into Content network. If you are already spending $1000 or more per month on adwords, then you might want to give Perry's other higher priced offerings a shot.

Best,

-Ritesh

[EDIT] I just realized that you mentioned you're just getting into using content network. If I were you I would read Ed Dale's 30 Day Challenge Day 22 material on Content network first. It's a quick read of less than dozen pages. Just to make sure you have the basics right.

And then follow this up with sitesniperpro.com
