I've been using adtrackz since day 1 and it's done the job, but I'm ready to make the move to something more updated. Adtrackz is very "old school" and I'm sure there's something better out there these days. What do you guys suggest? Thanks Brad |

I've been using Google analytics the last few years. It really is a great tool. My only regret is that I didn't switch over to it when it first came out. I was paying for some junk software and didn't know any better. At first sight, it looked a little intimidating but you get the hang of it. Personally, I think it's one of the best Google tools ever created. Haha, looking over my post I guess I should mention that I'm not in any way affiliated with Google analytics. |

GA is solid.. but a newcomer gaining strength right now is Yahoo Analytics. You must be an advertiser on Yahoo's Network, but it's a strong analytics platform that is great competition to GA. Just another option to consider.

GA is great BUT I've seen many warnings that if your site is basically built for affiliate /CPA sales, or with decent content but still obviously "built for adsense", or an autoblog, you're chances of getting banned by big G are greater than if you don't use GA. For WP sites, there are a couple of plugins such as Wassup. |

GA is pretty good, not great, but better than almost any other service. But it's for Analysis, not stats, of course. The issue with GA if you are running blog farms/multiple sites and using a singe GA account, then basically you're telling Google every site you own without them having to track IPs or anything. |

What type of analytics though? For traffic, bounce rate, etc. I use Google Analytics and Statcounter. If you're running a blog farm, or MFA sites, then go with Statcounter because Google Analytics can get you banned.

I'm using Google Analytics and Statcounter. Of course, there're also the free open-source server s/w "Awstats" and "Webalizer" that can provide with other low level stat info. Those 2 s/w are normally provided free with your web hosting account. |

It gets down to what you want to track. I've not seen anything more thorough, less expensive, or easier to use than GA. And event tracking totally rocks. |

Google Analytics, StatCounter, and W3counter are great. But my favorite stat tracking tool would have to be CrazyEgg which you can find here: https://www.crazyegg.com/ |
