SEO and Article gurus help me pls.

I have an article and want to post it soon on ezinearticles. I will do it soon.

But I also like to add it to more article bases. So if google find the doublicated articles with my link inside, will it be ok or I will have some damage.

I asked to people for this, and I got two answers: do it, do not do it (rephrase you articles every time on every article base (I think that it will take me lot of time, so do not like it) )...

I am dot sure which way I must to go.

No Google will not penalize you.

There is so much content duplicated out there, that is not how it works... the only place that Google really hurts you if it finds duplicate content is on your site itself... meaning two articles that seem the same. Even that however is not something that "hurts" you by means of getting penalized... what it means is that Google will only show one of the articles in the rankings... this is why it is so important that you have unique titles and descriptions because even though the content body might be different if the title and descriptions are the same Google will tag the content as the same. This is why in the Google webmaster tools this is something that google provides, it shows you duplicate titles and descriptions that it found on your domain. The Google webmaster tools is something i recommend everyone use... the info is very valuable.

Now about submitting an article to Ezinearticles and then somewhere else, here is what you want to watch for and do..

Google will not show more then two of the same articles in its rankings... usually only one of them. This does not mean google has banned or penalized the other articles at the other directories but it wants to offer unique results and so it will take what it feels is the authority version.

This is why i laugh at services that submit one article to 1000 directories... ya you get some backlinks but sorry (and i am a rabid tester) the results are minimal. The backlinks from 99% of article directories are worthless and the traffic they provide is pretty much nothing. It is WAY more effective from a traffic perspective to submit to just 20 of the actual good directories then the other 980.

So this is also why you want to have submissions that are unique, so you can potentially have multiple top rankings for a search term instead of just one. It is not because Google will ban your site or anything like that, it is so you can actually have "YOUR" content appear more then once.

So if you submit the same article to 10 directories you get potentially 10 backlinks and one ranking in Google. If you submit 10 variations of the content to those same directories then you get potentially 10 backlinks PLUS 10 google rankings.

    Hope this makes some sense.

canuck is right, duplicate content only hurts you on your own site. In fact, it's not actually a 'penalty'. It is an algorithm to prevent a search from returning the same content from a single site multiple times.

So, just to be clear. Me trying to be as white hat as possible and outsourcing loads more re-written origional articles for website promotion was a big waste of time? LOL i just wasted 70 squid.

In other words; complete duplicate content is OK as long as the duplicates are for promotion on other websites that are not your main page. But also, if you consider google rankings important for your articles on other websites and not just for SEO, it's best to keep things original.

So there is absolutely no evidence of google penalising people for duplicating content on other websites? Thanks for the info there, I shall make sure I save my best and origional articles for the 20% of sites that make the 80% of the difference.

      cheers

Agree somewhat with Canuck that most directories are not worth the trouble and only about the top 20 is all you really need, but.........

When talking about Ezinearticles I would highly recommend that you submit your article to them first and wait for them to approve it before submitting the same to any other directory. I think they are far tougher on duplicate content than even Google is.

The duplicate content issue is way overrated. It is easy to take an article from an article directory(of course every thing is in tact) and outrank the original author just by creating a few backlinks to the article. Many newbie article authors miss this simple tip! Most seasoned internet marketers know this and use this to create adsense blogs and autoblogs and even affiliate blogs.

So the answer to you question is how will you use your article?

As far as submitting to the major directories yes use highly spun content above 70% or just rewrite the articles.

You may want to look into the Free down load at article tool chest. I found the software to be helpful. They have a spinner and blender in there. It can help with any duplicate content issues. I don't really like endoring products here, but it's free and helpful.

"Google will not show more then two of the same articles in its rankings... usually only one of them."

This is nonsense. I have the same article in consecutive places (#2 and 3) in different directories of the same article.
