Alternative to Animoto

by 35 comments
Hi - as Animoto cannot be used in a business 2 business context - do any of you know of any similar products that allows the production of high quality slide videos that can be used to promote businesses.

I am aware of MS Movie maker, but are there others?

Regards

Why is that? I been using them without having any problems? How about sony vegas or after effects? They are not turnkey solutions thou, but they could produce the best video imaginable. or why dont you just outsource them to warriors. Some will charge as low as $10/video.

Hi, I'd like to know where to find the members who create videos for you. I'd love it if you could point me in the right direction.
      Many thanks and best wishes,

Online Video Story is a one time fee alternative. It's better for marketing than Animoto because you can make your video tell a story. It can create videos completely automated, from photos and/or text articles.

I love ProShow Gold. It isn't anywhere near as expensive as the more professional video editing programs, but you can do some way cool things with it.

They have a nice user community that contributes as well.

    Arbitrager,

Why is that? I been using them without having any problems?
Because even with a business account at Animoto you cannot pass the completed video onto another business unless they too have purchase an account for $250.

Here's the terms direct from the horses mouth:-

The Terms of Service allow for you to re-sell videos to individuals, but not to other businesses.

Each business using Animoto commercially must have their own Animoto for Business account. However, feel free to re-sell videos to individual people (for example, a videographer selling a video to a couple who just had a wedding).
So a single video produced by you, for a business customer would cost $250 for your account and another $250 for their account..... $500 for a video is quite expensive don't you think.

I would look at muvee.com it does the same as Animoto but I think you have a better choice in the themes
You can also get a free trial to see if it fits what you are looking for

I tried it and maybe I overlooked things, but it seems you can't control the video length (everything seemed to be 3s), and you have to upload music, they don't provide any.

I'll try the free trial even though I'm tired of installing software on my loaded PC, but it seems music samples are only available for the $399 business package...

As for Animoto, what, they don't like us paying customers? They use to have a $499 a year license PLUS $25 per business. That was pretty steep in itself, but now even that's gone. Who will pay a full license each time?

They would be the #1 solution if they allowed it. As of now, no money for them. Stupid IMO.

    Business 2 business?

Ive been using Animoto for well over a year now and they have been great. It saves a lot of time, it looks great, and best of all, does the job of converting visitors into buyers.

Been having great success with them both for clients' sites and my own sites as well.

You might want to get the business edition though.

    Hope this helps.

No matter what solution you guys are going to use, be sure to check out the Terms of Service pretty carefully.

Some of these services have some pretty strict rules on use for promotional/non-personal purposes. Including charging you quite a bit for every video you create that you want to use for professional/commercial/promotional purposes.

The point I'm making about ProShow Web is that their license for PRO allows you to re-sell, no strings attached.

Check out TrueKat Show at TrueKat Digital

It has a lot of good stuff for a very moderate price. Making videos is a snap - drag and drop images and you can see immediately the preview - no waiting! Everything is real-time.

It can export Full HD video and direct export to YouTube and Facebook is supported.

There is no limit of how many videos you can create and no annual fees. The number of available themes is constantly growing.

The tool is perfect for small ads and promotion videos. There is a trial version, so you can try it before buying.

    Hope this will help.

I just noticed that Stupeflix allows control of slide durations. It's the only one of these services I've seen that allows that.

No affiliation and I haven't tested it yet.

Feature page here: Features - Stupeflix Studio

I do small freelance jobs for local businesses. Social media, graphic design, web design and some marketing. All very small jobs. I recently was introduced to a guy who is a public speaker, author, has his own podcast and online store that generates sales of $550k and wants to double that up to $1.1m. Where would you start with a job like this?

My website is only a month old, but Google has indexed the webpage I am checking the SERP position for. Here's the thing. I have an EMD and when I type the EMD keywords into Google, none of my webpages show up anywhere (I searched for it all the way to the last page which is page 34), but my Facebook, Google Plus, and YouTube pages all show up around pages 9 and 10! I haven't built any links back to these pages, but I did build a few no-follow comment links (URL links only) and paid for 3 directory links on pages with a PA of 35 to 50. Can someone please explain why my social pages would show up but not any of my webpages.
